Buff Badgers Week of Feb. 21th

Susan - You're funny. :) Forgot to mention that DD knew some people who went to that Anime convention in Milwaukee last weekend. DD loves Anime but she went to Sadie's instead. She's in an Anime Club at school and they're working on writing and illustrating a story.

Laurie - I don't think I could do KPC unless I was 100%. Take it easy and hope you're feeling better.

Heartymax - Bummer on the Tae Bo. :( I hate it when I get excited about trying a new workout and it disappoints.

Lala - Do you like Meso 2 better than Meso 1? After doing just 4 workouts in Meso 1, I'm a little scared of Meso 2 and 3.

Karen - That door thingy sounds dangerous. You hit your head, too? Glad you're okay (well except for the thumb). I'd love to do the Birkie some day. I have x-country skis but haven't gone in years.

The past couple of days I've felt like I'm on the verge of coming down with something. I didn't workout last night because I had a headache and was tired but I did get up to do STS Disc #4 this morning. You guys probably already know this but you burn a ton of calories doing STS! :D I've been wearing my HRM and I burned 400 calories this morning WITHOUT CARDIO! That's awesome. Since I'm a day behind now I'm planning to do Disc #6 (legs) tomorrow and Disc #5 on Sunday to give my upper body time to rest. Will fit in cardio and abs where I can. I'm off tomorrow to take DD to a writer's workshop.

Hi,

Kids loved the Barnibirkie. Lots of fun. Ended up doing KPC before I left this morning.

Laurie, I didn't do any of the workouts, just tried hooking it up and looked at some of the exercises, like two before hurting myself. We only have one door I can put it on and all the furniture will have to be moved in order for me to see the tv. The door doesn't close very well either. When I do one, I will let you know how I liked it. Hope you sleep better tonight.

Sue, I didn't hit my head, thankfully. Have to use light weights on everything because I can't put my thumb around the dumbells. I didn't realize that you burned so many calories doing STS. I guess I will do one tomorrow. I need to burn some calories. Hope you are not coming down with something.

Susan, have fun with Bootcamp. It seems it is one of your favorite go to workouts.

Lala, I like meso 2 legs also. Let me know what pilates videos you end up getting.

Heartymax, sorry your cardio day didn't end up to be very much cardio.

Off to a basketball game. Work all day tomorrow so I don't know if I will get a chance to check in. If not, have a great weekend.

This a.m. was cardio core circuit. wow! When she gets to cycle 4...watch out!

Sue, I do like meso 2 better than 1 and am not exactly sure why. Are the workouts a little shorter, maybe? I think that maybe there´s a bit more time between changing weights that gives me a chance to do just that. sometimes with meso 1 I feel like I´m so rushed to change my weights even though I try to have them ready to go,

Karen, I think I´m going to go to the library (or maybe see what netflix has) to try some pilates. I´ll let you know which ones I like.

Laurie, hope you get a better night´s sleep tonight...that´s what I´m going to do right now!

Night ladies!

I DID IT!!! I finished STS Meso 1 today. Disc 12 legs. After doing the first legs disc I wasn't sure if I would make it through another one but it got better each time. I do plan to get in some cardio during my recovery week. Maybe I will do my Jillian workout one day.

Sue---I felt the same way when I started. I don't know if I can go any heavier with my shoulders. Some of those sliding lunges are a killer too! I don't have a HRM but that is interesting to think that i am burning that many calories....then again....my heart rate really does get up doing these workouts. I am very impressed with STS.

Laurie and Susan---Can you recommend a good Taebo with just cardio. There are days that I don't feel like stepping. Hubby still has not fixed the treadmill. He has the part but needs someone to help him but it on and hasn't bothered to ask a neighbor yet:mad:

Lala---Cardio Core Circuit---ouch! I have only done that one a few times.

Hi Karen!

Have a great weekend!

Morning Coolers,

Got KPC and Ultimate Ball done last night. I didn't do the ab work or cool down in kpc though. This morning was BFFM. Still have a slightly stuffy nose. I'm either going to beat this thing, or it is planning on haning on. But I'm trying my best to get it out of my system with exercise.

Sue, WTG on keeping up with the STS workouts, yep they are good with the calorie count. You take care of yourself also.

Karen, I saw the commercial for that Rip60, I don't know that I would have a place to set that up in my house either.

Lala, That whole workout is ouch! I did get a better nights sleep last night, I'm looking forward to sleeping later tomorrow morning. :D

heartymax, Congrats on completing Meso 1! Have fun with your recovery week. Do you want to do Kickboxing? If so then instead of Billy I would have you check out Kimberly Spreen, and the workout in this link. http://www.totalfitnessdvds.com/CARDIO-CAMP-WORKOUT-CIA-2605-p/520.htm She does a much better job with kickboxing workouts that Billy does. This is probably one of my favorite workouts of hers. Another instructor is Kelly http://www.totalfitnessdvds.com/30-MINUTES-TO-FITNESS-KICKBOXING-DVD-p/467.htm Most of the newer TaeBo workouts that are available are not as good as his older workouts.

Have a great day!

Just a few quick minutes here, but if I don´t do this now, it won´t get done! This a.m. was disk 15, bis and back. Hope to run tomorrow.

Laurie, I see you got your workout in after all yesterday! Even though you didn´t do the abs from KPC you still got the ones from the ultimate workout!

Heartymax, for kickboxing I also love Turbo jam.

Have a great weekend all!

Karen - Oh, good, I'm glad you didn't hit your head. Looking forward to Meso 2 Legs now because I think Meso 1 Legs are awesome. :D Go Basketball Team!

Lala - I think I'm getting used to all the equipment and pausing to take more time to setup. I'm usually breathing pretty hard so I don't mind the extra break. ;)

Heartymax - Congrats on finishing Meso 1! Now on to your recovery week, right? I am very impressed with STS, too.

Laurie - I hope you beat your cold. Heard on the news we are about to hit peak flu season.

Lala - I'm with you on the Turbo Jam. It's fun and I don't feel like I'm working that hard (but I am). I get kind of Turbo Jammed-Out though so it's better not to do it all the time.

Hi, Susan!

Did STS Disc #6 this morning. Trying to catch up and didn't want to do upper body 2 days in a row. I am going to be SORE tomorrow! That was one good, thorough leg workout. Did the bonus legwork, too. Tomorrow is cardio and Sunday is Disc #5.

Have a great weekend everyone!
