BUFF BADGERS Week of Feb. 14th

After posting last night, I spent some time reading the forum. I noticed several comments about how difficult disc 9 Legs is so I was scared this morning. However, I made it through. Those sliding disc back lunges with picking up and putting down the weights are a killer. I am not sure if my form is correct either, but I sure feel the burn. I usually skip the bonus segments which are leg conditioning drills. I did stability ball abs and finished with my own version of stretch. My triceps are still sore.

Sue----what are your 3 days for STS? I am doing Mon, Wed, Fri.

Laurie and lala----what did yo do during your recovery week? I guess I better start planning ahead for that. Did you lift at all or just cardio?

Hi Karen an Susan. Have a great weekend ladies. The weather is expected to be 70 degrees today!

Hi,

I think I broke my thumb yesterday.:( Am going to get it checked out today. I plan on doing some type of cardio--hopefully, maybe a spin.

Heartymax during recovery week for STS I did cardio as normal and some yoga and stretching dvds. Good job getting in Intensity and finishing disk 9.

Have a basketball tournament on Sat.

Have a great day.

Morning Ladies,

Tabata Inferno for me this morning. I LUV this workout! :D First you do a warm-up and then go into 4 min. circuits. The first round he has two exercises that you do 20 sec. and then 10 sec. off, and you do this for each of the two exercises. You do this 4 times, so that is 4 min. The next two rounds had four exercise that you did 2 times. It rotated like that, and I think there where either 7 or 8 rounds. I lost count after a while. :D It kind of reminded me of Jillians Shred and Insanity, because some of the exercises where core related.

Susan, Glad you are feeling better. I find that I have more energy in the mornings that I do after work. I think the walk with the dog before hand helps get the body awake.

Sue, No he was busy grinding down my tooth, he was basically with me the whole time. :D He is a perfectionist also, so that may be another reason it takes so long. That is why I like my dentist so much.

Karen, I actually like the Insanity workouts, and this Tabata workout reminded me a lot of Insanity. What I liked about this one more was that he didn't have plank type exercises back to back. You could actually finish the 20 sec. and then move onto the next exercise. Ouch on the thumb. :(

heartymax, Have fun with the TaeBo, you will either love it or hate it. I just ignore the counting, and have fun with the punching / kicking. My recovery week consisted of core work, yoga and kickboxing. I didn't lift any weights at all.

Have a great day!

Karen - How did you break your thumb? I hope it's not too bad.

Laurie - If Tabata Inferno is like Insanity I probably won't be doing it. Cathe's HIIT is hard enough for me. Never say never though, right? ;)

Heartymax - I am doing STS on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Kind of goofy I know but Tuesday is my early day so it makes sense for me to make it a rest day. Also, finding almost an hour to workout in the morning means getting up at 4:30 and I just can't do that 3 days a week.

I will do STS Disc 2 tonight, cardio tomorrow and STS Disc 3 on Sunday. Busy weekend. DH is going to Eau Claire for a gaming conference (board games, not hunting). Saturday is Sadie's so I have to drive DD and her boyfriend to/from the restaurant and dance. On Sunday the kids and I are going to Madison to protest. Just kidding! :p I'm not getting involved in that craziness but I am getting together in Madison with my brothers and sisters in honor of my mom's birthday. It's been almost a year now since she passed. Still hard to believe. . .

It´s been one of those weeks, and just for the record, I am NOT in Madison:eek::eek:

I´ve gotten my workouts in...this week was meso 1 week 1. I always have this idea that these are the easiest workouts...WRONG . Today was legs. I really like it, but it kicks butt (no pun intended)

Karen, how did you break your thumb?
Sue, you have a busy weekend hahaha on the going to Madison thing! Glad you are liking STS!
Laurie, Tabata inferno sounds like a great workout! I really like a get in and get out!
Heartymax, good work on STS. I actually love the bonus sections. This am I was prepared for a 53 minute workout and when it can in at 38 I was so happy and it made doing the bonus that much easier!!

Susan, glad you are feeling better!
