Buff Badgers Jan 17 - 21

Morning Ladies,

Got in Disc 10 Chest, Shoulders & Biceps after work yesterday. This morning was Insanity Core Cardio & Balance. Hope to get in some ab work tonight.

Susan, Dang on being sick! :( I know a few people that have gotten that stomach bug since Christmas. I'm hoping that your Birthday celebration is a reality! :D Hope your dd starts feeling better also, she has been sick for a while hasn't she? :(

Sue, So wonderful that you where there for him, and now he has to let Nurse Mommy help him. When they are that age, it seems that we can only Mother them when they are sick. ;)

heartymax, Oh yes the leg workouts are super good in all the Meso cycles, but the Plyo Legs are just fun! I like that she does a weight exercise and then plyo. Your heart rate is elevated through the whole workout doing it that way.

Lala, Thanks for the info on the oatmeal at McD's. Everytime I see the commercial on that I wonder if it is good, because it sure does look tasty!

Have a wonderful day!

Hi All! This a.m. was 30/30. And this p.m.---lounging:)

Laurie, you are so faithful in adding your ab workouts. I know that is so important but when I am short on time, those are the first to go:( I have to try harder!

Susan, We all hope to celebrate on Sunday, right  Hope you feel better soon, it is no fun to be sick, especially to have to work on top of it :(

Heartymax, sounds like that premix is a winner...haven´t tried it yet. How long is it? It might be a good one for a shorter workout?

Hi Karen, Hi Sue!

Good Morning,

No workout yesterday so today I need to double up and do Hiit and STS disk 15 bi/back. I am still sore from chest/tri/shoulders on Wed.

Susan, hope you had a great birthday and you are feeling better. Did you get your pilates in? Is DD better today?

Laurie, are you putting Insanity inbetween the STS in this rotation or just doing a variety of cardio. You don't seem to do as much kickboxing as you used to do.

Lala, lounging sounds good. We have not been off of school here either. Today is is -35 with windchill, not cold enough for our superintendent to call off school.

Sue, how is DS? He is in good hands. Glad it went well. How is Ripped 1000? I have it but have never done it.

heartymax, glad you like Intensity. Those Hiit workouts are making all your workouts easier. Have you tried your cardio fusion since you have been doing lots of HIit? I would like to see if that one got any easier. I find that one slays me no matter what I have been doing.

Have to get laundry and shopping done today since we will be gone all day tomorrow. The kids that are at home tomorrow will need some food and clothes.:D

Our computer is fixed!!!!:D Have a great day.

Morning Ladies,

Last night I got in Insanity Cardio Recovery and the Med Ball Abs. This morning after a very short walk with the dog , I did Kenpo Cardio+. The knee was a little stiff starting out (going to chalk it up to the cold), but it was better as the workout went along.

Lala, WTG on the Hiit workout, and I love your evening workout a lot. Enjoy the lounging exercise, I will do that after my Back & Triceps are worked out. I think that the fireplace will be started up after I get home from work also. Seems to be the perfect weather for it. ;)

Karen, Those STS workouts still make me sore afterwards to. Glad to see that you are back in the cyber world again. I'm doing a variety of cardio in this rotation, trying to get in at least two to three kickboxing during the week. Tomorrow I have Bodystrikes on tap, that should fry the lower body good.

Have a great weekend!

Hi there! No school today which is good cause I could use the extra sleep! Still not a 100% but better. I just did some stretching and lower body pilates yesterday. My tummy would not have liked the ab work! Today I have not decided what cardio I am doing. Waiting to see how I feel I guess. I'll let 'cha know later!

Saturday DS has a B-ball tourney. We should be done by early afternoon which is nice. Sunday will be quiet, until the Packers win then there will be some noise made! :D

Laurie, it was -30 out this morning, so I did not even attempt to walk Ruby! I feel bad that they have to go out in weather like this! I notice when I do a lot Kickboxing, my shoulders get really sore, how are yours holding up?

Karen, glad your computer is fixed! DD is still sleeping but I hope the extra sleep helped her too! Hoping DS does not get this bug before his game!

Hi Heartymax, Sue & Lala! Hope you all have a great day!

Susan

Thanks for all your concern about DS. He is doing much better. Not as much pain but getting around is still difficult. Thank goodness there's no school today so he doesn't have to go out in the bitter cold on top of it. I changed the dressing on his toe last night and the wound wasn't bad. He has a big hole where the toenail used to be but not much bleeding. He's supposed to soak it twice a day so we'll work on that this weekend.

Yesterday morning I had to allow extra time to check on my "patient" so I only did BFBM circuits 1 & 2. This morning I finished BFBM circuits 3-7. Tomorrow is NMTZ although I may substitute Bob Harper's Strength workout (the name escapes me right now).

Karen - It's been awhile since I've done all of Ripped 1000 so I'm trying to remember. I mostly do the cardio segments as an add-on but I like the pulse lunge series, too, when I need a little extra lower body work. Her exercises seem to be either really easy or advanced so the trick is knowing which is which so you can make the easier exercises harder by using a heavier weight.

Heartymax - I knew you'd love Intensity! :) That step only premix is my favorite. Quick and intense - that's the way I like my cardio.

Lala - I am guilty of skipping ab workouts, too. That's what is nice about Jillian's workouts. You're forced to do abs because it's part of a circuit instead of at the end. Oh, and I am an expert at the Lounging workout. :D

Laurie - Have you ever tried Forza? I downloaded a free Illaria workout on my iPad I want to try. Only have it for 30 days though and then I have to pay if I want to keep it.

Susan - Glad you're feeling better but take it easy. You want to be able to celebrate on Sunday after the Packer victory! :)

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi again, can you tell it is my day off and I didn't get called in? I ended up doing disk 15 then disk 32 plyo legs and then Beverly Hills Pilates abwork broken up by the computer guy coming to do some more work on the other computer and DH laptop. I just dressed appropriately so when he came I didn't have to change, just stop until he left.

Sue, glad DS is well and didn't have to go out in the cold. Will the teacher let him make up his test? Way to go on getting your workouts in with everything else going on.

Laurie, have fun with your kickboxing.

Susan have fun at the tournament. Hope DS stays healthy. It is nice you get a short day for your tournament, ours will be very long. Superior here we come.

Off to do more laundry.

Hey all. Today was disk 19 (I think)! I took off some of the chest work so that it wasn´t so long

We had school today too, but the kids were only there 1/2 day due to the change of semester. Then it was decorating the auditorium for the dance tomorrow night. I have to say the kids are phenomenal!! I only had to pop in and out and get them started!
Tomorrow is finishing the decorating and the dance itself.

Karen, glad you have the computer back and it looks like you took full advantage of your day off!

Sue, glad DS is healing well. Can he walk on that foot?

Susan, Keep resting and get better!!! Tank didn´t get his walks today, either! 0 degrees is my limit!

Laurie, you are brace to walk your dog in this weather! Our wind chill was -30:eek:
GOPACK

Hey there! Just letting you know what I ended up doing today. I did Intensity warm up followed by the Hi-impact HiiT 2 times in a row then did the Boot Camp portion. It was a good workout. I also did 45mn of Pilates.

I felt "ok" while exercising but felt sick as the day wore on. I spoke with a co-worker who had the same bug a couple weeks ago. He said he did not feel "normal" for at least a week cause it seems to come in waves. You feel fine and then BAM, you feel faint and pukey!

Karen, glad you got such a good workout in today! Enjoy your tournament as well and stay warm!

Lala, are you chaperoning the dance tomorrow? DH told me I am not to walk Ruby Saturday either as the wind chills are to be -25, but I might take her for a quick one around the block just to stretch her legs...

Sue, hope DS continues to heal well!

HAve a great weekend ladies! Let's hope we're celebrating Sunday night!

Go Pack Go!
