Happy Monday everyone and I hope you had a great weekend.

lala---I could not remember comparing Cardio Core Circuit to Hiit 40/20 so I decided to make it my choice of workout for Saturday morning. Once again, I felt like I could barely get through Cardio Core Circuit..maybe because it doesn't offer the short breaks that Hiit does. I finished it with a segment of 10 minute solution pilates.

Okay ladies---I broke down this weekend----yes I did it----I ordered STS. I just couldn't resist the price. I didn't want to look back and regret it. I am really trying to tone up my arms and bring more shape to my shoulders, so I figured that I would implement something totally new for 3 months and see what results I get by summer time. I also ordered Intensity because I got another additional 10% off quantity discount when I ordered another DVD which resulted it me paying maybe 50 cents (practically free) for Intensity. WOOHOO!!! Now, I just have to figure out the one rep max.

This morning was High Reps for a great total body weight workout. I cannot do the gliding disc when you move the leg criss cross. I can't remember what it is called in the workout. It hurts my hip for some reason so I just skip it. I can do the other lunges with no problem. The tricep workout is a killer. Those lying extensions are long and I cannot get through them.

I will check back in later today.

HI Ladies! It's Monday and I am in a good mood!:D Must be them Packers kicking butt!;) Also I lost another 3 pounds this week so that brought a smile to my face! Saturday was shoveling for an hour, followed by Max. Burn Pilates. Sunday I did the elliptical for 40 and Lower Body Pilates for 30mn.

Today is Jillian's BFBM and 20mn Max. Pilates. Checked my measurements this morning and my waist was down 3/4" but the rest of me was the same. Hopefully it'll all start going down!

Heartymax, congrats on purchasing STS. I have a feeling if you follow the program, your arms and shoulders should be looking good by Summer! I'm sure Laurie can give you pointers since she is the STS Queen!:)

We have a short week this week as there is no school on Friday. We are expecting 3-5 inches of snow today so I think they may call school off early. Just means more shoveling to me. We do have a snow blower, but I hate using it! We'll see what I feel like later...

Have a great day! Susan

Real quick update because I'm off this afternoon to take DS in for toe surgery.

I did shoveling and heavy duty housework (I was dripping sweat!) on Saturday so I called that my workout. Yesterday I did Shred #2 and a Leslie mile. This morning was supposed to be QTZ but I subbed in Jackie Warner Power Circuit Training Total Body and Lower Body segments (17 min. each). I'm sure I'll be shoveling later, too. Tomorrow is Shred #2 again which works out well since Tuesday is my early morning.

Oh, and STS comes today! :D

Heartymax and Sue, you will both love STS! I mentioned before it´s been a year I think since I last used it and am loving it again!
Heartymax, isn´t that 4th circuit in CCC a killer???

Sue, hope the surgery goes well for DS.

Today I did disk 15. Over the weekend I got in a short run on Sat. and lots of cheering for the Pack!!

Susan, congrats on that weight loss!! Nice job :D The kids have a 1/2 day of school on Fri, but we have a full day...end of semester. Sat is the winter dance and my Spanish Honor Society is in charge of the decorating

Hi Laurie and Karen!

Hi,

Our computer has had a virus and I don't have any computer at work. Still isn't fixed of working well but enough to post.

Yesterday I did Kettlebell Way volume 2. Don't know what I will do today if I get time. The weekend was filled with a tournament for basketball and Packers so no workouts.

Lala, I love STS. I keep coming back to the workouts I did 1,2,3 last week this week was suppose to be 13-15 but decided I needed more cardio right now seeing as I miss so many workouts. You have a busy week ahead of you.

Sue, you are sure getting some great workouts in. You rock. Wish I was as consistent as you are. How did DS surgery go? I hope he is doing well.

Susan, nice job on the weighloss. It must be those pilates. Have fun shoveling.

Heartymax, love CCC. It is one of my favs. I think you will love STS and what it does. I always start seeing great muscle definition when I use it. High reps has turned out to be a fav of mine also because of the killer tricep work.

Have a great day.

Good Morning everyone. Schools closed today due to the sleet/ice so I got sleep late too. I just finished the Step Premix from Cardio Fusion. I am excited because I am scheduled to get STS today...then again..the weather may delay it...I will have to wait and see.

Karen---glad you are back checking in this week.

Susan--- you must have wanted to turn a few flips or better yet----do a few air jacks after stepping on the scale and seeing 3lb weight loss :D

lala----I am so looking forward to the results from STS. I want toget my equipement together, do the 1RM and mentally prepare myself before starting the rotation so I won't rush into. When I start, I want to be ready to clean up my eating a litter better again. It hasn't been bad but not as great it was a few months ago.

Sue---I hope things went well went DS surgery. When do you plan to start your STS rotation? My dumbells only go up to 20 lbs and I don't have a stability ball. Having the boys and the golden retriever used to make it hard for me to keep a ball. I would try to hide and they would find it and they just think it is the best toy. Anyway, after the last one burst, I just didn't buy another one. I really want a stability ball, additional risers (more like the high step) and heavier dumbells.

Hi Laurie!

Morning Ladies,

Busy day yesterday, and this morning I came in early. No workout yesterday, my knee has been bothering me lately. This morning was just a short workout Hiit Double Wave Pyramid.

heartymax, Congrats on your purchase of STS, it really will be great for getting your body to the point that you want it. I know that first time I tried it my upper body really changed. This round I see changes that I didn't see in P90X. ;)

Susan, Love that that Packers kicked butt also! :D Our oldest has short days all week, she has exams all week. Congrats on the reduction in your waist, that is great!

Sue, WTG on the workouts, and hope all goes well with your ds. Does he have to stay home or is he off to school?

Lala, Sounds like you will have a busy Friday and Saturday with the decorating and dance.

Karen, Dang on that computer virus! Glad you are getting in workouts despite your schedule. That is the important thing.

Have a wonderful day!

Hello there! Well that snow gave me an extra workout yesterday! Glad it's done, for now! Today is Pilates Advanced on the Balance Ball.

Karen, glad you are posting again! We missed you!:D

Sue and Heartymax, hope you both enjoy STS. I am looking forward to hearing your results. Hearty, enjoy the snow day!

Hi Lala! HI Laurie!

Make it a great day!

Susan

Susan - Woo hoo! on the 3 pounds! :D You ROCK! Wish I could report a weight loss, too, but I maintained and didn't lose any. :( Eating was less than stellar so I guess I'm lucky not to gain.

Heartymax - STS was delivered yesterday! I want to finish my 30 day Jillian rotation before starting STS but I'm thinking maybe after that. I have about 2 1/2 weeks left to go with Jillian so it'd be early-mid February.

Karen - Glad to see you back! :D I think our old pc at home has a virus, too. Takes FOREVER to boot up and unfortuntely is the only one with Microsoft Word on it so the kids need to use it when they write papers. Haven't had to chance yet to run Ad-Aware and System Mechanic and see if that helps.

Well, DS did NOT have his surgery yesterday and I was a little ticked off. The surgeon looked at his toe, explained the procedure and how he'd use local anesthesia on the toe only so he wouldn't feel a thing and then apologized for not having the time to do it! He said it would take 30-45 min. and if he did it right away the other patients waiting would be mad. What the?? I thought that was why I scheduled the appointment! Now we have to go to the Outpatient Dept. at the hospital tomorrow a.m. and DS will miss his math test. Trying to contact his teacher to find out when he can make it up since the quarter ends on Thursday. Frustrating! The nurse who called wasn't exactly a wealth of knowledge either. Couldn't tell me where to go at the hospital or what the recovery would be. I don't know if he'll be able to go back to school or not afterwards.

And since DS has a bum toe and DD was home sick yesterday and DH still has problems with his elbows from the time he broke them 2 1/2 years ago, I was the only one who could shovel yesterday. We got about 5 inches and DH refuses to get a snowblower (don't ask - it's a sore point for him) so that was my workout yesterday, last night and this morning. Hope to do Shred #2 tonight.

Hi again. I did CC7 on my spin bike and 10 min. solutions pilates stretch and abs.

Sue, sorry you had to shovel so much snow.:( What a mess with the appt. for DS. I am sure they will reschedule the test and wait for the grade until he can make it up. It's not like he did it on purpose. I can't believe your DH arm is still bothering him. All because you guys decided to bike.

Tonight is the all star game for basketball and DS13 is playing in it. Still 3 more tournaments and games every Mon. through Feb. We are going to Superior this weekend for a tournament.

Great job on all your workouts. STS is the best!!! :D

Sue---sounds like you had a pretty frustrating day yesterday. The teacher should be able to delay the grading or issue an incomplete for you son until he can make up the test. Sounds like we will start STS around the same time. Mine was delivered yesterday.

Questions about STS? Is the 1RM for each muscle group or for each exercise?

Laurie----I like the Double Wave Pyramid. It is one intense 30 minute workout.

Today was Upper Body Split form CTX and then I watched the first 30 minutes of Intensity so I hope to make it my cardio in the morning.

Gotta rush to prepare breakfast.....will check back in later today.

Today I am planning on doing STS disk 13 and some Hiit if I get off early enough.

Heartymax, it is 1 rep for each exercise. There is a list to print out and then just go from there.

Have a great day all.

Did Shred 2 this morning + all the 1 min. Cardio segments from Ripped 1000.

Heartymax - You'll love Intensity.

DS gets his surgery this morning. Will let you know how it goes.

Morning Ladies,

Last night I did Disc 29 Plyo Legs, the whole STS set is worth it just for these workouts. :D This morning I did KCM's 30 Minutes to Fitness Kickboxing Workout#1 with weighted gloves. Will get in my Chest, Shoulder and Biceps workout done after work.

Susan, That snow removal is really a workout for sure! We have a snowblower, so that workout doesn't happen around our house anymore. ;)

Sue, Hope all goes well for your DS today, very frustrating day for you at the doc office. WTG on the workouts, you are doing to great! It's to bad about the snowblower, we got a new one last year and it was inexpensive and small enough for me to use. ;)

Karen, That is a lot of bb for you to attend. My niece goes to UWS! :D If you see a loud blond walking around Superior, that is probably her. :D Everyone is doing Pilates! LOL

heartymax, Yep it is per exercise. You basically pick a weight for the exercise, and do as many reps as you can with that weight. You go into the workout manager and enter the weight and reps, the program will calculate your 1RM.

Have a great day!

Hi everyone! Well, today is my Birthday. I am 43.:D I woke up early and got on the elliptical for a very good workout. I plan to do some pilates later. I have to run to the DMV to renew my driver's license after work. Hopefully it won't take too long. I am also hoping for a nice quiet night at home.

DD was not feeling well today but she had to go to school because she had a test and a quiz and end of semester is tomorrow! Told her after those classes were done, if she was not well she can go home.

Sue, I hope DS surgery goes smoothly!

Karen, I'll be glad when these b-ball tournaments are done! We have until the end of Febr. :(

Heartymax, hope you like Intensity! I have that on my schedule for Saturday.

Hi lala! Hi Laurie!

Have a great day! Susan

Back home after DS' surgery. He's in a lot of pain but sleeping now. Thought he could go back to school afterwards but there's no way. He was very brave and I'm so proud of him. Doctor kept sticking a needle in his toe to numb it and I could tell it hurt a lot. Gave him my hand to squeeze and he squeezed HARD! He removed a good portion of the nail and cauterized it. Then they wrapped it up so big they had to give him a boot to wear home. A size 14 boot no less. Surprised they had his size. As soon as we left his toe started throbbing and he had intense pain. I wanted to call but DS said to wait to see if the Aleve worked (which thankfully it did). I was supposed to go to work this afternoon but I'm going to stay home and keep an eye on him instead. Nurse Mommy on duty;-)

Sue---so glad the surgery is behind your son now. Sounds like he was as brave as one can be for a surgical procedure. There is no greater love than Nurse Mommy!

Susan---Happy Birthday!

Laurie----okay---I thought GS legs was a killer. I guess you are telling me that I ain't seen nothing yet.

Karen---I guess it will take me a few weeks just to get through all the
1RM's.

Karen, nice to see you back! Wow, I'm gone a few days and look what happens! Tues I got in an almost! 3 mile run...it can be a challenge on the snow and ice. we didn't get the snow that those of you in the south did, so school continues :( Today I was up before 4...not to workout , but to take DD19 to the airport to get her back to college. Tried a McDs oatmeal (I recommend it if you need breakfast on the run) and a triple espresso to get me through the day... am off to bed now!

Laurie, I really like those plyo legs, too, I may do that tomorrow
Sue, glad all went well for DS, but WHAT...the doc didn't do the surgery the first time????

Susan, HAPPY BIRTHDAY What did you do to celebrate??

Heartymax, i remember doing the 1RMS that many of us used those as workouts in and of themselves for the duration. Enjoy your STS!!

lala---I was just thinking last night that my 1RMs will need to be my strength workout for the next couple of weeks.

I LOVE Intensity!!! I did the Step Only premix this morning and even did the air jacks...WOO HOO!!! I guess that 40/20 Hiit has done great things for me. For some reason, I didn't notice when the warm up ended. I kept waiting for it to end and was thinking----hey this is no warm up....I have to pay closer attention because normally Cathe's stops and talks and lets you know when you are moving into the regular step portion. I definitely look forward to enjoying the other premixes as this workout is super fun.

Have a great day ladies!

Hi there! Well, yesterday I came down with a stomach virus. Was not doing well at all. Still not doing too well today but I am going to work anyway cause we are short handed. This bug just came out of nowhere!:( Glad I worked out early yesterday. I am hoping to feel better by this afternoon so I can do my pilates. Keeping fingers crossed! Right now I'd rather go back to bed! DD is home sick with a bad sore throat and fever too.

Heartymax, glad you had fun with Intensity! I have not tried that premix yet, but I will!

Sue, how is the DS today! I hope he is not in too much pain.

Lala, How did I celebrate my B-day? Sitting in front of the fire, trying to stay warm and drinking warm tea. Hoping to celebrate Sunday when the Packers win!

Hi Laurie!
Hi Karen!
