Hi there! Hope you all enjoyed your weekends! I am glad it's over actually. Saturday I decided to take a rest day and clean and put up Christmas decorations. Sunday I did High Reps (all of it). That was a good workout and my shoulders and sore today! I previewed STS total body and plan to do that Wednesday. Looks really good!

Today will be Jillian's BFBM.

Have a great Monday! Susan

Susan - How long is High Reps? I FINALLY get my new Cathe dvds today (never using UPS for preorders again ) and was planning to do High Reps tomorrow but Tuesday and Thursday are days I need to leave the house earlier. I know what you mean about being glad it's over and back to a routine. I'm glad the pumpkin pie is gone! LOL Ate way too many sweets this weekend.

Hi to everyone else! :)

Yesterday I did BFBM. This morning I did HIS cardio + BL Last Chance w/o lower body + crunches on my own.

Hi! Had a great weekend, although spent just about all of Sat and Sun. sleeping, even stayed home today :( I think it was/is a bout of food poisoning. So needless to day I did not exercise. although Sat I did a 4.5 mile run...not on purpose, it was going to be a short 2-3 miler, but I got lost

Sue, I think the whole high reps is around an hour.

Susan, good start on the Christmas decorating. Mine is awaiting me!

Hi everyone!

Susan----glad you got a chance to do High Reps. It definitely a burner.

Sue---High Reps is about 65 minutes and it does have premixes at 35 minutes.

Today I did the Upper Body portion only. I remembered to do the Total Body Upper Body first section instead of the premix of the back portion is missing from the premix. Someone mentioned in our check in but I can't remember who.

lala---sounds like you had a rough weekend. Hope you have recovered and will have a kick butt workout coming soon.

Haven't started any decorations yet. We will travel for the holidays and sometimes when we do that I choose not to decorate at all. Not sure yet.

Hi

I did Lower Body on Sat. and yesterday I got in STS disk 25 chest/back. Today I am going to try to get in Intensity again but it is another long day.

Nice job on your runs Lala and susan.

Glad you guys are enjoying the workouts.

Hope you are feeling better Lala.

Nice job on decorations Susan. Still have ours to find.

Have a great day.

Hello again! Today I ran 3.3 miles and will do pilates after work.

Sue, hope if you did Hi-Reps today, that you enjoyed it! My shoulders and tris had major DOMS yesterday! The shoulders are still tender!

Lala, sorry to hear you have not been well. I have had food poisoning twice and would not wish that on anyone! Hope you are getting back to normal today. Getting lost is one of my fears, that's why I use mapmyrun.com so I always know where I am going, even if I am in a different town!

Hi Karen! How did you like Lower Body? I decided to get my decorations up early cause the next few weekends are busy with basketball. Still have the tree to put up, probably Friday night.

Heartymax, Hi-Reps was a burner, and kept burning! When I was actually doing the workout, I didn't think it was too bad but I sure felt it later!

Have a great day ladies!

Morning Ladies,

Had a great time over the Thanksgiving weekend, and was really busy yesterday at work. Was so tired that I didn't get up in the morning to workout, so I'm one day behind on my rotation. P90X Chest, Shoulders & Triceps for me this morning, will get the Ab workout done after work. Thinking of doing Bootcamp Core Only premix. ;)

Susan, I have been hearing some good things from the High Rep workout, really all of the workouts have been getting some good reviews.

Sue, You and Susan where having fun with BFBM I see. :D Still a favorite of mine. I'm glad the pumpkin pie is gone also.

Lala, Sorry to hear that you may have gotten food poisoning. Oh my on getting lost, that must have been a bit scarry.

heartymax, We have not started our deco work either, all of us where way to tired to attempt it on Sunday. Our house is so full of stuff on Christmas, it takes days to put up and take down.

Karen, Hope you are able to get in a workout, but understand those long days.

Have a great day!

Karen---I haven't had a chance to do Lower Body Blast yet.

Laurie----glad you listened to your body and got some rest the other day. No need to workout when we are already totally exhausted.

I normally work out at 5 AM. I got up at 4 this morning and walked on the treadmill. Then I prepared some homemade chili to leave in the crockpot for the day. Yummy....had some left over cornbread from dinner on Sunday---- so easy meal upon a long day of work and I have lunch for tomorrow.''

HI there! Today I am doing STS Total Body but will probably have to do one of the Timesaver ones.

Heartymax, way to get up early yesterday! :D I love chili! Got any left?:p

Laurie, is this a P90X rotation or a mix? How long does it last?

Sue, how did High Reps go for you?

Hi Lala!
Hi Karen!

I'll check back later after I do my workout! Susan

Morning Ladies,

Have not worked out yet this morning, had to get to the HS for our DD17's IEP Meeting. She had some great feedback from her teachers, and they all said that her learning disability should not be a problem for her at the college level. Of course we are looking at getting her some support, so more forms to fill out.

Last night after work I got in the Double Hiit only from the Intensity workout. That was fun, but really different from the Hiit in her SC series. I had some knee pain afterward, so don't know how often I will be doing that combo. I also got in Bootcamp Core only Premix, kind of forget how tough that core work is. :)

heartymax, Mmmmm that really sounds good, oh look it is my snack time. But I only have almonds for my snack, the chili sounds really great.

Susan, I'm in the last phase of the P90X weight workouts, but I have been mixing in other workouts like Insanity and kickboxing. Otherwise I'm sticking to the rotation as is. I will be done with this rotation on the 26th of Dec. This rotation has been easier to get through by using other cardio workouts.

Have a wonderful day!

Heartymax - Have you tried Panera's chili and corn bread? Very yummy although I'm sure yours is even better. Great job being so productive in the morning! If I take meat out to thaw I'm doing good. . .

Laurie - I'm glad your DD will get the support she needs in college. Your mind will be more settled knowing you've taken these steps now to help her when she's off on her own next year. I worry about how my DD will do on her own without mom to nag her, keep her focused and provide moral support. Every year she gets better at taking responsibility so we'll have to see where she's at in 2 years with her ADD to see if we need to put something in place like that. I've said it before but you sure are good at coming up with rotations with a lot of variety.

Susan - Yes, I did get a chance to do High Reps. I see what you mean about shoulders now. I think my triceps will be very sore tomorrow, too.

Lala - I hope you're feeling better and able to workout again.

Karen - Did you get a chance to do Intensity after your long day?

Didn't get a chance to workout yesterday so did High Reps this morning - well most of it anyway. I made it to the disc lunges before I had to stop and get ready for work. Will do the lunges, chest and core tonight. I like the workout so far although the music is bland and too soft. The music is secondary to the workout as far as I'm concerned but I was hoping for something like the music in Power Hour which pumps me up.

Am taking off tomorrow afternoon to take DD to the DMV to get her Temps. We didn't time this right trying to teach a beginning driver with the snow starting to fly.

Hi,

Yesterday I did not get Intensity in so when I got off early today I did the step and Hi Hiit, then did STS disk 27 bi/tri/shoulers which was what I was suppose to do today. It is very hard to catch up.

Heartymax, the chili sounds yummy. My DD has been begging me to make chili for her but not many others here like it.

Sue, the time for driving is definitely not now. Nice job on finishing most of hi reps. I still really want to do that one.

Laurie, I felt knee pain today after the workout also. Glad your dd is doing so well that she will be fine in college.

Susan, hope you got in your STS workout.

Lala, sorry you got lost. I guess you got in a better workout than you thought.:D

Have to go to the bank. Take care.

Sue---I totally agree with you on the music in High Reps. It is not loud enough at all and not nearly as fun as Muscle Max and Power Hour. However, it is better than the last series which is a plus.

Laurie-----great job on sticking with your 90 day rotation. That is a huge committment and you have been doing awesome. Glad you are getting all those details worked out as your DD prepares for college. It will definitely help you and her feel more at ease.

Susan----I enjoyed some leftovers for lunch today and took him some extra for some co-workers to dig in too. I squeeze in some time to bake a small pan of corn bread this morning after my workout so I could have more bread to take with me too.

I am surprised I could stir the mixture of cornmeal after doing High Reps again today. The triceps are a killer in that workout. I skipped the lunges with the gliding disk. From some reason my frisbee is in the van and I keep forgetting to take it out.

Hi lala and Karen.

Hi, this has turned out to be an unplanned rest week. I´m back to work, but still feeling like I need lots of rest and sleep...maybe it was a bout of the flu...who knows

I can´t WAIT to get started on the Intensity DVD, but right now the thought of HiiT makes me want to crawl into bed :(

Susan, I actually did use mapmyrun but the problem was the way the streets were named and labeled! Thankfully I had my phone (i use a running app), and was able to figure out where I was!

Sue, Good luck to DD and the driving. Actually, my youngest learned to drive in the snow and I think that´s the best thing...really :D

Karen, you sure did make up your workout! Does the Intensity HiiT have more high impact than Cathe´s STS HiiT?

Laurie, it will be nice to know that things are set with your DD. It seems that colleges are way more sensitive to learner disablities than back in the day...

Heartymax...4 am:eek: I'm an early riser too, but not THAT early! You go!!

I'm back! STS TB was a rough one, especially on my chest. I really like it though! I am supposed to run tomorrow morning however,it's going to be very cold so I might wimp out and get on the elliptical instead!:p

Sue, I too felt my tris a lot the next day! I usually do not feel them so when they were sore, I was impressed! My DD and DS both have ADD and I do worry about her in college. It's good to know I will be able to make plans for her like that as well!

Karen, way to go on that workout!

Laurie, great job with the rotation! Have you seen any big changes?

Lala, I have heard of about 10 people having the flu over Thanksgiving weekend, so I would not be surprised if that is what you had too! Take the time to rest and recover so you can kick butt later!

Have a good night!

Boy, here I am again! Today is the elliptical for 45mn (Extreme Heart Rate program) and some pilates.

I think I am going to start Cathe's new rotation next week. I'll have to try and sneak in my running on certain too.

Hope you all have a good day- Susan

Morning Ladies,

Last night I did get Insanity Sports Conditioning finished, was tough though. :D This morning was P90X Back & Biceps along with Barry's Bootcamp Mission Specialists Advanced Abs. Whew say that one 10 times fast. Love that there are those short ab workouts that are really effective.

Sue, Dang on the music in High Reps, it really doesn't bother me either, but still. ;) Oh do check out the services that are available, all the colleges do have their own departments for disabilities. The state also runs a program called DVR, that is the one we found out about yesterday. That might be a good thing with the snow flying, at least she will get behind the wheel experience with you in the car. DD17 has not driven in snow yet, so it will be an experience for her.

Karen, Your really had an intense exercise day with all those workouts. My knees feel much better now, but I don't think that I will be doing that workout all that often, even though I enjoyed that portion of the workout.

heartymax, LOL about stirring the cornbread with sore triceps. I took a page from your book this morning, have my slow cooker going with a beef roast. It sure will be a lot easier to get dinner ready tonight.

Lala, So sorry to hear that you have not recovered fully from that stomach problem. I only did the Hiit in the Intensity workout, and I think that there are a lot more side to side moves. She does do more high impact moves, but then again I have been doing that with Insanity.

Susan, I take it that Cathe created a Dec rotation, will have to take a look see at that one. The biggest changes I have seen have been my arms. I think my upper body needs workouts like this, but I so love circuit workouts too. :D What I need is a circuit workout that uses heavy weights. ;)

Have a great day!

Good afternoon everyone. I finished High Reps last night but I need to find a better option than my paper plate. It didn't slide very well and I almost paused the workout to spray furniture polish on 1 side but didn't want to get it all over my mats. Going to have to look for a frisbee I guess. Even though the plates didn't slide very well (or maybe they're not supposed to slide *too* easy ), I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too tough. Maybe doing Tonique has made these easier (although I haven't done Tonique in a couple of weeks). I plan on doing Intensity tonight after dinner.

Laurie - A guy at work just started doing Insanity and he was so sore yesterday he could barely walk. I just had to chuckle because I knew he was in for a surprise. He had been running on a treadmill and doing some weights at the Y but have never done ANY home workouts before - not even P90X.

Lala - The Intensity w/o will still be there after your body has recovered and feel better. Don't forget all the snow we'll soon be shoveling, too. ;)

Susan - I don't blame you for wimping out and not running in the cold. The only running I'll do in weather like this is running from the parking lot to wherever I'm going. :D

Heartymax - You sure are a nice co-worker to bring in lunch for people. :D

Karen - Did you get a chance to do High Reps yet?

Have to leave pretty soon to pickup DD to take her for her Temps. Was going to do that earlier today since they have early release but long story short - she had to get her instructor to sign something and he couldn't do it until today so now we have to rush over after her Drivers Ed class before they close. He's going to let them out early so we should make it in plenty of time. I think I'm more excited than DD is! :D

Sue---yes, you should give the Frisbee a try. I used a paper plate too and it was okay, but I feel that a frisbee will work better....I promise to remember to take it out the van by the time I do High Reps again.

Laurie----I can't wait to hear about your results from P90x. You sure are working your muscles! Beef roast is my favorite to leave in the slow cooker. My oldest son loves it and there are never left overs. I use the onion soup mix, 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup, beef broth or water...mix....add the roast on top and cook on slow all day and it is so tender and has the best gravy.

Susan---I agree with you. I am impressed with the triceps in High Reps too. The December rotation looks great. I may try it later as we will travel for the holidays so I know I won't stick to it.

Lala----glad you are feeling better. Get all your energy back before first and Intensity will still be there waiting for you.

This morning was Cardio Blast from Drill Max. I think I have gone two weeks without doing this workout. I still haven't done LowerBody blast yet...so maybe soon.

Checking in...grading papers :p and thinking about my next workout. Am feeling better so maybe I´ll go for a run this weekend. Have a huge paper due, so I´ll be working on that all weekend, too.

Heartymax, you have the best recipes! Can´t say enough about Drill Max, love that one!

Laurie, is Intensity Sports from the Insanity? It sounds interesting...is it sport specific?

Sue, I´ll have to keep in mind the frisbee thing when I do all of high reps. But I actually like the music, and usually I don´t pay attention to it. You can mute it and play your own!!!:D

Susan, I´ll have to look at Cathes Dec rotation. I had scheduled the Nov one after my race, but my change that.

Hi Karen!
