Morning Ladies,

Had a busy Satruday, and a lazy Sunday! On Saturday I didn KenpoX and BFBM, not in a row. I took a break between the two workouts. ;) We had a party Satruday evening, and didn't get home until after midnight and then I had to get up for church. So my time was spent sitting on the couch, adding wood to the fire and watching the Packers win! :D

This morning was STS Disc 15 Back & Biceps, that one sure gets the forearms into the mix. Since I missed my yoga on Sunday, I would love to get that done before I head to bed tonight.

Hope everyone had a great weekend,

Laurie - I'd say you earned that rest on Sunday after doing such an incredible workout on Saturday. So how long did you rest between workouts? I sometimes tell myself I'll come back downstairs (to my exercise room) and do another workout later in the day but rarely does it happen. It was fun watching the Packer game in the end when they made that interception. :D

Did you guys see STS is on sale for $139.98 until Sunday? I'm thinking of getting it. The deal is just too good to pass up.

DD got a haircut on Saturday and it's really cute. She's trying to grow it out but the layers were a mess. Stylist did a really nice job and recommended a shampoo for her dry scalp which she just loves. We close on my mom's house today - hurray! One less thing to worry about.

On Saturday I did Shred #1 + HIIT Pyramid + all the cardio intervals from Ripped 1000 (about 8 min.). On Sunday I did NMTZ (No More Trouble Zones). This morning I did 2 Leslie Fat Burning miles. Tonight I'll do Shred #1 again unless I substitute with Jillian's Shred it with Weights. Tomorrow is BFBM.

Hi! Just a quick check-in. Sat I did CC7 on our OLD stationary bike...it was a great workout. Then I ate WAY TOO MUCH .

Sun I went to church then did nothing except watch the Packers win :D

Couldn't get out of bed this a.m, so my STS disk 30 will either wait til I get home, get postponed til later this week, or I may just take a week off

Sue, definately get STS. This will be my 3rd time through, and after not having done it for a year, I didn't remember how good it is!!! You got in some great workouts over the weekend!

Laurie, I have to agree with Sue, if I walk away from working out thinking I'll come back later, later never comes!!! Good job!

Hello Ladies. Hope you all had a great weekend.

I saw the STS sale and was very surprised to see it on sale! I am not sure if I plan to purchase. It's a good deal though.

This weekend I spent some time reading amazon reviews of some pilates workouts. I decided to purchase 2 of the 10minute solutions pilates and I also bought Jillian's 30 day Shred. I am really excited about my Jillian workout. Got an amazon noticed that it shipped today so I hope to be trying it out by the weekend!!!

I didn't workout this weekend----well----I played dance central on XBOX kinect with my kids so that should count as a workout:D It was so much fun and I never play any games with the kids. They had a blast just watching mommy.

This morning I did Drill Max!! The cardio blast premix only as I never have time for a 75 minute workout!!!

HI gang! My weekend was uneventful. Saturday wsa KenpoX followed by Pilates Power Sculpt 20mn. Sunday was a rest day as I took down all the Christmas stuff and got my house re-organized and of course watch those Packers!:D

Today was an early release day for our schools so I did not have to work. I did P90X Core Synergistics and Pilates Advanced Body Slimming (25mn). Might go down later and do a little something else too. I am restless today!

The scale was down 2 pounds from last week so that's good. I'd like to continue with 1-2 a week. When you have a slow thyroid like me, ya take what ya can get!:p

Laurie, yes, I'd say you deserved that break on Sunday!

Sue, sounds like you are doing awesome on your workouts! I did not see that STS was on sale but I think I will pass. Actually DH just went and bought himself a new bow for hunting. His Birthday is tomorrow, and that pretty much sucked up the extra money for the month!:p

Lala, what kind of results have you had from STS? Being your 3rd time - that's fantastic!:)

Heartymax, you will love Shred! At least I do anyway! Then you will get hooked and buy the rest of her dvd's! ;) I have not tried the 10mn Solutions Pilates but I have read good reviews on them. My DD wants me to get Zumba for our Wii, looks like fun.

Hope you all have a good night! If I don't log on tomorrow, I am doing Pilates Maximum Burn (55mn).and going for a long walk!

See ya- Susan

Good Morning Ladies! I must say that I had an awesome workout this morning. I started off with Hiit 30/30. I truly find it harder than 40/20. I am glad that I didn't listen to the description and comments saying that 30/30 was the easiest of the workouts. If so, I would never have tried 40/20 which is not easy by no means....just different enough from 30/30 for me to like 40/20 it better. After finishing my Hiit workout, I popped in Upper Body Split from CTX. OMG!!! is all I can say! I ordered CTX when it was on sale this summer and have only done Leaner Legs and Kick Box. I expect my muscles to be sore tomorrow!

Susan and Sue----I so looking forward to trying Jillian's workout's also. I had a hard time deciding on the pilates, but hope I made a good decision. The price was really good as I got all 3 workouts for $27 and free shipping. They are scheduled to be delivered on Friday.

Laurie and lala---You ladies are having fun with STS!!

Hi Karen.

Enjoy your day!

Morning Ladies,

Last night I did get in the yoga. I did Bob Harpers Yoga for the Warrior, and really enjoyed it. He reminded me of Tony in a lot of ways, loved the music in this one also. This morning was STS Disc 3 Legs. ;) May try to get in something tonight also.

DD17 has an interview with Applebee's today, keeping my fingers crossed that she is able to get the job.

Sue, It was about 2 hrs between the workouts, because I ate something right after I came upstairs. It was mostly a carb loaded meal (ww waffles), so it didn't cause me to have stomach problems during the workout. Great workouts!

Lala, That is what usually happens to be to with doing a double workout, but this time I talked myself into it. Probably helped that we had a party that night, and I knew I would be eating things that where not healthy.

heartymax, The STS workouts are a very good deal, have to say that I really am glad that I purchased them. My girls where playing Dance Party 2 last night, and they where really getting a great workout. ;) I love all of those Hiit workouts, they each have a tough factor about them.

Susan, Congrats on moving that scale in the right direction. Awsome work on those workouts, and enjoy your pilates and walk today!

Have a wonderful day!

Susan - I'm with you on the slow hypothyroid weight loss. Only lost 2 pounds the 1st week and I was working out like crazy! Not fair. Guess it's better than going the other direction but it's sooooo sloooooooooowwwwwww.

Laurie - I think after 2 hours I would have given up on the idea of another workout so kudos to you! I always eat a little something before working out or my workout suffers. Waffles sound yummy. I thought Bob's yoga was a lot like Tony's Yoga X, too. Sort of Yoga X Lite since it's shorter. I think Applebees would be lucky to have your DD working there.

Heartymax - Hope you like Shred. I go heavier with the weights than what Jillian and the background exercisers use which makes it more challenging. BFBM (Banish Fat Boost Metabolism) and NMTZ (No More Trouble Zones) are harder IMO and I like them better than Shred.

Did Jillian's Shred It With Weights Level 1 and another Leslie Fat Burning mile last night. Tuesday is my early morning to leave the house so no workout yet today. BFBM is on the agenda but I have to take DS to the doctor about his big toe which might be infected. Hopefully that won't take too long.

On my way to a Bible study, so just a quick check in...did step moves this am. It will take a while to get that down pat!

For those of you who do Jillian´s stuff...I just read an article that said that the people on the BL lose fat while maintaining muscle! And that they work out 4-6 hours a day :eek:

Sue and Susan, no matter what, 2 lbs a week is good!!

Heartymax...you sure are hearty...after a HiiT workout I´m finished! Nice job!

Susan, I haven´t measured myself or anything with STS so really don´t have measurable results, but I do find that this time around I´m surprising myself with the weights I can use...in most cases ;)

Good Morning! Schools are on a 2hr. delay due to weather so I got some extra sleep in addition to my workout:D What a way to start my day!

lala---I don't watch BL but I am not surprised about the number of hours the participants workout. I was reading an article the other day about some bootcamp on the beach and how the people have numerous one hour exercises classes. Insane is what came to my mind.

Sue--I noticed Jillian used light weights when I viewed the clips.

Laurie----I admire how you often fit in an AM and PM workout. I sometimes think about that but know that I could never find the time or make the comittment. I am just not an evening exerciser. I love mornings!

This morning was CTX Leaner Legs (minus the sit and stands). I just couldn't torture myself this morning.

Hi Ladies! Boy we are all getting some good workout in! :) Today is P90X CardioX followed by Pilates Advanced Body Slimming. This pilates workout moves really fast and I ache when I am done, but it's a good ache!:p

Heartymax, lucky you with the extra sleep! Leaner Legs and I are not friends!

Sue, good for you on your 2 pounds as well! I figure slow and steady wins the race even though I would rather be like a BL contestant and lose at least 5 pounds a week! I write down what I am going to eat for the day as I eat my breakfast. I then give myself a "word or phrase of the day" to think about and keep me in line. Today's word is "determination":)

Laurie, you are just a machine with your 2-a-days! I cannot eat right before I workout. I prefer to exercise on an almost empty stomach so I wait 2-3 hours if I have eaten.

Hi Karen!

Hi Lala!

Susan

Morning Ladies,

This morning I was dreading my workout, but after I finished Insanity's Max Cardio Conditioning I felt so great. I also added in B&G Stability Ball Abs, Cathe hits all areas of the abs in this one.

DD17 said that she thinks that she did well in the interview. Since she is 17 he sait that she couldn't be a server until she turned 18 in March, but she could be a hostess until then. Hopefully she did well enough to get a phone call soon.

Sue, Ouch on your DS's toe, that really has to hurt. Did you manage to get that BFBM workout done? I think that one is my favorite of her workouts.

Lala, Isn't that interesting about the BL contestants keeping muscle while losing fat. You read all these other people saying that over 60 min. and it isn't worth it because you start losing muscle. Oh how they all like to confuse us don't they?

heartymax, I love my morning workouts also, but when I can get in something extra then I try. Not like last night when I fell asleep on the couch. I think that you will enjoy the Shred workouts, just use a 3# or less weight when you first try it out. Got to love the Leaner leg workout!

Susan, Are you doing the P90X rotation along with you pilates? I start my mornings on an empty stomach, but I have learned that if I do eat before I exercise that I to need to wait the 2-3 hours. Carbs seem to digest really fast for me.

Hi Karen hope all is well with you.

Have a wonderful day!

Heartymax - Those Sit and Stands are tough all right. Best part is when they're DONE! :)

Lala/Laurie - Jillian used to talk on her radio program about how they're able to lose fat while maintaining muscle by "calorie partitioning". From what I've gathered, it's about eating no less than 1200 calories of good, clean calories (I think the BL women eat 1300-1400 and the BL men eat 1500-1800) and combining weight training with cardio. I know that doesn't sound like anything new but that's why they make them workout instead of just starving them. It does contradict what other people say but maybe it's different with very obese people. I agree about exercising 4-6 hours a day being crazy. I don't think I could do that even ONE day! All I think of is the soreness and potential for injury. No thanks.

After I got home last night from the doctor with DS and ate dinner it was time for BL and I just felt lazy so I didn't workout. Did BFBM this morning though. Talk about torturing yourself in the morning! Don't know which exercise I dread the most - standing mountain climbers or 180 jumps.

Ordered STS yesterday and got Ab Hits for free because of the quantity discount. (Read about that on VF or wouldn't have known about the qty discount.) Not sure when I'll start this. Am definitely NOT doing the 1 rep max. I've been lifting long enough to have a feel for what weights work. If I have to adjust, I'll adjust.

One of the girls at work brought in Zumba for the Wii for me to see. We have a Wii in our newly remodeled Commons Area (aka lunch room but Commons Area sounds nicer) for people to use on their breaks. Anyway, I thought it looked really FUN. We have a Wii at home but I've never used it. I may have to get this but will wait a little while so the credit card doesn't take a big hit all at once.

DS needs minor toe surgery and is on antibiotics. Toe is definitely infected and the doc thinks because of the way the toenail broke off that he has a shard near the base of the nail which needs to come out. One of the surgeons will do it in the office on Monday to give it a chance for the infection to clear up. All DS is worried about is whether he'll be able to ski next Thursday.

This morning was STS 35 plyo legs...I think...it seems so long ago ;)

Sue, hope all goes well with DS´s toe. Funny how something like a toenail can affect so much! You got STS!! I think you´ll really like it...and you might want to do the 1RM after all, well, you can do it and see. I found that after doing the 1RM, the weights recommended were much heavier than I would´ve chosen, and pretty accurate, too.

Laurie, good luck to DD on the job interview!

Heartymax, lucky you! I´m beginning to think we´ll never have a snow day this winter :( Still have lots of snow on the ground, but it´s from the big storm in Dec.

Hi Karen! Hi Susan!

Morning Ladies,

This morning was STS Disc 19 Chest, Shoulders & Triceps. Love the drop sets in these workouts.

Sue, You will LOVE STS! Let us know how you like the Zumba. For me the dread is the circuit that has the standing mountain climbers in BFBM. That one has me bent over trying to catch my breath. :D If I didn't have a full time job, maybe I would be motivated to workout more that 1 hour. 4-6 would probably make me sound like an exercise addict. :D Right now people think that I exercise to much! WHAT! Ouch on that toe, glad it is an out patient surgery.

Lala, DD received a call last night for another interview with the top manager. She asked DH and I if that was good. I was like YES! It is a good thing when you get a 2nd interview.

Have a great day!

Happy Friday everyone and I am looking forward to the weekend. I feel like I am still not caught up with getting things done around the house since we were away for the holidays. All the suitcases are not unpacked yet...DID I SAY THAT?????

Laurie-----2nd interviews are great! Best Wishes to your DD! I don't even want to think about climbing a mountain....keep those crazy things out of my exercising:rolleyes:

I got my Jillian and pilates videos in the mail yesterday so I got busy this morning wiht Jillian's Shred Level 2. I decided to start with Level 2 just to guage myself and I think that was a pretty good choice for me. I like the workout. I think doing all those Hiit Workouts lately helps with this one. I must say, I could have used (or basically took) a few seconds of rest when needed. 20 minutes may not sound like much---but hey I need a second to drink some water all the time. I like the workout. I found the jacks in the planks position to be something new and challenging but fun. I finished my workout with two segments of the 10 minute solutions Slim and Sculpt Pilates. I did Upper Body Pilates and Pilates for Abs adding another 20 minutes to my Shred workout. This particular DVD came with a band so it was fun and a great compliment to what I was doing with Shred.

Yesterday was a rest day for me! We got the new belt for the treadmill so hopefully hubby will have to put it on this weekend.

I will check in this evening after work and Have a great weekend ladies.

Morning Ladies,

Today was 4DS Kickboxing in it's entirety. I have not done that whole workout in quite some time, so it was a lot of fun.

heartymax, I'm so glad that you enjoyed the workout, it always surprises me when a short workout can be so intense. Glad the combination of that workout and pilates worked you good. Hope your DH is able to get your tm running again, I still have to get working on getting mine fixed. We take a long time to get things out of suitcases to, so don't worrry.

Have a great day!

HI ladies! Sorry for posting so late! Yesterday was Pilates Core Reformer workout. Today I did CTX Kickbox (cardio) followed by Pilates Advanced Body Slimming. As I said before this workout goes very fast and my goal is to be able to do it perfectly. There are a couple exercises that just plain hurt!

Saturday I am doing Maximum Burn Pilates and Sunday is the elliptical.

Heartymax, I am so happy you enjoyed Shred and the pilates. If you are consistent with the pilates, I think you will like the results you get.

Lala, I am with you! I just told my DD today, I wish we'd have a snow day! Doesn't look like that's going to happen anytime soon...

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Go Pack Go!!

Susan

I guess I´m the last to post today! I did disk 31 this am...chest and back, but I only did 3 sets instead of the 4. It made the workout about 50 minutes instead of 68.

Tomorrow I may do a short run and some ice skating...we´ll see.

Heartymax, did cardio core circuit Thurs and remembered you saying you thought it was harder than 40/20...had to disagree with you til I got to the 4th circuit :eek:

Susan, you are doing some really interesting workouts...

Laurie...I like that workout, too. And hooray for DD!!!

Hi Sue, Hi Karen, have a great weekend, everyone!
