Bought a new car...what did I do?

Oh, geez, I don't know whether to laugh or cry, but I definitely feel like I want to throw up!

Bought a new Toyota Rav4...it's really cute. Metallic taupe color. I traded in my sweet VW beetle. I seriously had to choke back the tears when they drove him away (his name was Hamilton, btw- I name all my cars..silly, I know) He was just old and impractical for hauling kids around, not good in the snow, etc. Besides, I'm taking call more per month now so a little more income to take care of an added car payment:confused:

Not sure how to feel - new loan, new worries but new car, less worries. I don't know...I'm thinking a mich ultra may help me sort things out:D

Now I just need to name the new vehicle - I'm thinking something regarding St. Patrick's Day since I bought him today. I was thinking Patrick, Clover, Paddy...or maybe some nice Irish name? Any ideas?

Hey, people get help naming their dogs on this forum, why not cars?;)

Heidi, I drive a Toyota Highlander, very similar to the Rav, and you will LOVELOVELOVE your new car!

Now pass me a beer and I will help you think of a name...:p
 
Congrats on your new purchase!! A friend of mine has owned two and is planning on buying another one in the next couple of years. Her's are always black.
Consumer Reports rates them well.
 
Congrats! I love my RAV4; it's 13 years old and 110k miles, and still runs like buttah. I cried too when I traded in my old ride, an 11-year-old Celica.
 
Congratulations on the new car! I name all of my vehicles too, but I wait until they are old enough to have "personality". My current vehicle is too new, it is still just a van.
 
Congrats on the new car! I name my cars, too. The current one is Priscilla Bluebell. Is the new car a boy or a girl? That will help with a name. Maybe something in Gaelic if you're looking for a St Pat's day name.

How about a girl's name for your cutie Rav? Fiona? Shannon? Sinead?

We used to have a Rav4 and LOVED it. So comfortable, easy to take care of. My cousin has one now and equally adores it.

Big purchases are stressful, but at least you picked a great car!
 
I love the name Paddywagon, that Gabrielle gave. It's right on.LOL:D

Congrats on the new Rav. I test drove one a couple weeks ago and loved it. Just don't know what I really want. Well, I really want a VW Beetle but with a 3.5yr old its just not practical:p
