BOSU

Cathe,

I was wondering if you have any plans to begin making BOSU videos. I would like to request that you consider it. I've attended a class and found it very effective. There doesn't seem to be much on the market for home workouts in this area.

Thanks!

Christine

sorry it took me so long to respond. bosu is short for both sides up. i have a friend in chicago who has been doing it for awhile. try www.bosu.com. it has done great things for her core.

Oh yeah, this is the rage at my gym. I've never tried it myself, but I think pretty much every trainer gives their clients at least one exercise on it.

Personally I think I'd take a header if I attempted it. But I have heard good things.

She would make a great one(s). I have a BOSU and it's unbelievable how much tougher things are when you do them on this thing. My 2 favorites are the Rob Glick "Bosu Cardio Fusion" and Gay Gasper "Bosu reactive strength and power". There are others, but these 2 I actually saw before I bought them and they were what I was looking for. Rob's is all aerobic, Gay's is aerobic with intermittent weights with the BOSU. It costs about 100 bucks and you will need to buy an air compressor from Target or somewhere(about 15 bucks)because it will take you FOREVER if you try to inflate it with the pump that they give you(it plugs into the cigaretter lighter in your car).
There are other BOSU workouts from other companies, for example there are "Body Bar" workouts with the BOSU if you've ever heard of "Body Bar"(a comfy foam padded weighted straight bar that you don't put plates on). BOSU is a nice addition to Cathe, but Cathe has so much variety that the majority of my workouts are with her with a BOSU now and again. Hope this info helps!
