Boot camp

Another question for you guys who have the Bootcamp/ME dvd. Mine makes a horrible humming noise - I can barely hear Cathe. It gets stuck frequently, and sometimes my dvd player says "faulty disc." Has anyone else had any problems with the dvd? I'm getting ready to send mine back for an exchange, but then I thought maybe that's just the way the older discs are, since they're dual-layered (or whatever that term is).

Thanks!

Jan

It sounds like there is definitely something wrong with your disc. Mine plays perfectly, just like any other work out. Have you tried cleaning it? There's a sticky in this forum called "DVD School" (I think) that has instructions of things to try before returning a disc.

Having said that, I recently bought Low Impact Circuit and it consistently got stuck at a certain point on any player I put it in. After I tried cleaning it, I emailed customer service and they sent me a new disc along with a return envelope for the faulty disc. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

I just received BC/ME this week and previewed it yesterday while running on the treadmill. It seemed to work fine. Did your act up after several showings or right away?

This looks like such a fun workout that I'd hate to have something wrong with the disc. I'll be trying it on Sunday.

Mine acted up right away. The first time I put it in, it made a horrible humming noise, and I couldn't hear Cathe. Then it started to freeze and skip. I think if yours is ok now, it should be fine.

Okay, I did BC this a.m. and it was TOTALLY AWESOME, DUDETTES! What a workout! I needed a new workout and this totally fit the bill. There were times when I was saying to myself, "is the minute over yet?"

If you're on the fence about purchasing this, do not hesitate.

BTW, the DVD hummed pretty loudly when it was first loaded, but after the music started, I hardly noticed.

Last time I did Boot Camp I tried something a little different, and I really liked it. After the minute of legs in each segment, I reversed the dvd and repeated it twice more. So, I had 1 minute cardio, 3 minutes legs, 1 minute upper body and 1 minute abs. I plan to do the same for upper body next time I do it. This gave me a great leg workout in addition to some cardio, upper, and abs work. It took longer, so I'll probably do this on a Saturday or Sunday when time isn't an issue.

I recently got Bootcamp/ME too. It is so much fun!!! But, as someone previously recommended, I use to pick the "Everything but Core" mix and then do the core work alone. I simply start feeling sick if I follow the original order, including the core after the cardio/legs/upper body. But fortunately that's a little issue Cathe solved before hand for us, therefore the premix with no core. And the Muscle Endurance workout is awesome as well. I have been doing other endurance workouts and when I tried Cathe's ME it was hard to keep using the same weights I used in those previous ones.
Oh, and no noises of any kind in my player.

I love that No Core/Core Only idea. I've never thought of that, but it's brilliant. I, too, have naturally low BP and get dizzy when working out (especially doing cardio), so this is a great option!

loooovvveeee it!

I got the dvd today and just finished it for the first time. I love it! The cardio was a lot harder than I anricipated. . . one minute is pretty long :D/ this workout is intense and the challenge I wanted. Cannot wait to try ME!
