Hey everyone I need some help. My DH is giving me a kindle for my birthday and I am trying to decide what books to download, here is a list of stuff I have read and like:

All of Janet Evanovich
All of Sue Grafton
Some of Patricia Cornwells
James Pattersons murder club
Currently reading Game of Thrones
Have the Hunger Games
Debbie Macomber
Nora Roberts

As you can see I like alot of romance and mystry thrillers so any suggestions would be appreciated.

you can also go to ereaderiq.com and sign up to be notified of free books that become available.

DH got me a Kindle for my birthday and I just love it. The first thing I did was get a really cool skin at Custom Phone Covers, Phone Cases & Skins For Electronics | Skinit Then I started having a blast browsing through the Kindle store. There are a lot of free books; some are good, some are really bad and some are prequels to series in an effort to draw you in. I loved reading them all just to try new authors and see what was out there.

There were a lot of regularly priced books I wanted to get for my Kindle by the time I got my first Kindle gift card. Then lucky for me there was a Kindle book sale a couple of days later. Some of the books I had been waiting for were on sale for $0.99 and $1.99 (even some of those where the price was set by the publisher so they were usually $5.99-7.99). I got 36 books that first Kindle sale for about $40. So now I am set for a while until another book catches my eye.

Have fun with your Kindle, I love mine.

I just finished reading No Rest For The Dead which is a thriller written by 26 different authors including Tess Gerritsen, David Baldacci, Michael Palmer, John Lescroat, Jeffrey Deaver, Andrew Guilli, Diana Gabaldon, J.A. Jance, Sandra Brown, Thomas Cook, Kathy Reich, Jonathan Santlofer and many more. Each author wrote a chapter or two and they were seamlessly edited together. Loved it!!

This book sounds wonderful! Lots of authors in there that I love. I love reading book threads here - I've learned of lots of great books & new authors. Thanks everyone!

The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield was a fantastic book. Especially if you like mysteries, it seems slightly gothic! My book group loved it!

Did you finish Game of Thrones? That was one of the series I was considering reading next. Did/Do you like it? I am almost done with the third and final book of the Hunger Games which I love! I am not ready to be done with it. I'm getting sad already knowing it's almost over.

Did you know you can get a lot of free books for your Kindle, and not just those that are older. I read a ton of books so I am always up for a good deal.

Kindle always has a deal of the day. It is a regular book that usually runs around $10 for $0.99 or $1.99. You can find by going to the Kindle ebook store and it is listed on top of the bar on the left. If you are at that page on the lower right it lists the top 100 books both paid and free.

If you are on Twitter you can follow kindleebooks where they tweet different books that are free that day. Some are always free and some are only free for that day. If you follow AmazonKindle they will tweet the deal of the day. It is so cool to follow those on Twitter. Since I have found them I have gotten a slew of free books I am really excited about.

Have fun with your new toy.

Thanks Roxie! I downloaded the sample/beginning of book and was reading it last night trying to make up my mind. Is it me or do ALL those characters finally come together? Plus, I guess I'm just not used to the way they talk! Ha! I imagine after awhile, it all starts to make sense???

Has anyone read The Underland Chronicles? The series is by the same author of The Hunger Games. (Suzanne Collins) I DL-ed the first book last night. They are YA books which THG are too and I thoroughly enjoyed.
