Woo hoo! I'm ready to go! NOW! :D

I decided to fly out of Chicago - DH volunteered to drive me to and from O'Hare, what a sweetie! Anyone else flying out of O'Hare?

Now I really can't wait to go on the trip! So excited to meet all of you!

What airline did you choose? I'm in a bit of a dilemma--I can get a morning non-stop flight both ways using United--HOWEVER...it says in small print that it's done by United Airways. I'm leery to use United only because of what I'm seeing on the news. I've read the post that other airlines will honor my tickets if they go on strike, but then you run the risk of arriving who knows when on what flight, and when you've never flown into Philly before it can be a little unnerving.
Sorry if I sound a little paranoid--I'm tempted to spend a little more and skip United.
Any advice??

Well, flying out of O'Hare gave me a lot more options than if I had chosen to fly out of Peoria, so I managed to avoid United.

I'll be flying out on American flight 1146 departing at 12:05pm, arriving in Philly a 3:05pm.

And I'll be flying home on US Airways flight 637, departing at 2:30pm.

The flight I'm going to book arrives at 12:57 p.m., but of course, being the untrustworthy, gay marriage loving, pot decriminalizing Canadian that I am, I imagine there will be strip searches and body cavity searches and the like, so I should probably be getting through that about the same time your flight gets in.:p In any case, I shall lurk about the airport trying not to look too suspicious and wait for y'all. Then we can descend upon the hotel en masse, scaring the bejeebers (what exactly ARE bejeebers, anyway?) out of the hotel staff.

Trust me, you don't want to know what bejeebers are! You may never be the same! ;-)

There was talk on the Ask Cathe forum about buying and wearing the black Cathe t-shirt so everybody can find each other. Or we could all wear limes on our head?!? :p

I booked my flight too, but I am leaving on Thursday morning. Is anyone else going on Thursday?

ETA: I leaving from Peoria and flying to Chicago.

I wanted to arrive around 1pm, but I would have to leave my house at like 5 am to make that flight, and I'm not diggin' that. (DH is DEFINITELY not diggin' that)

Shelley - if you would be so kind as to wait for me at the airport, I would be so grateful! I'll be able to recognize you from the funny way you walk after all those body cavity searched. ;) Oh, and of course the lime helmet.

Okay, after a long and laborious on-line process... I'M BOOKED!!!! My flight on Friday arrives at 12:57 p.m. and my flight on Sunday leaves at 3:30. I'M SO EXCITED!!! And nervous. The plane is little.:-(

I'm thrilled to see everyone booking their flights. This makes it even more real, doesn't it? :)

Anyone departing on Sunday at 2:50 PM on United to Chicago?

I haven't booked my flight yet. And talk about nervous. I'm coming from Texas and I have NEVER been on a plane in my life. My teenage son and his best friend maybe coming with me for moral support. As soon as the boys decide if they're coming or not, I'll be booking my flight. I want a nonstop flight, but it is like $70 more. If my son doesn't go with me, I'm definitely getting the nonstop flight, but I need to save that $140 if I have to buy 2 tickets. I'll probably be arriving around 1:00 p.m. Friday afternoon and leaving around 2:00 or 4:00 p.m. Sunday.

Hi Kelley :) Aww, don't be nervous...hopefully you'll love the flight...try to think of it as exciting, being your first time! :) And of course think of all the fun you'll have once you get there! Sounds like you've got a sweetie of a son! :)
