Good MOrning LAdies,
Life is finallly settling down a little for me!I haven't sat in front of the computer and drank my coffee in a long time.Feels like forever.
I posted on MOndays thread but I don't know if anyone read it.It gave everyone the low down on my trip.It was a good trip, quick but good.
We had someone stay in our house while we were gone b/c we have a big dog and 2 gunieau pigs.I think they may have been feeding the dog human food b/c I came home to a smelly house yesterday. He had 3 big craps on my carpet. Why in the world do a dog have to crap on the carpet.I have only one room with carpet and thats where he makes his mess, which isn't very often.Needless to say,I wasn't impressed yesterday.
I also have 2 new workout outfits and a new running coat.I have been wanting to get a coat for a while and just haven't done it.
Anyway,I hope everyone as a good day.I am going to do PUB and a run today.DH is also gone for work so when I get home from work tonight I may do something else.

Good morning everyone! It seems like a bit of a reunion going on here. I am finally back after a weekend in SF, then a week house hunting in Michigan. The move is on - we sold our house the first day on the market (the first people who saw it put a full price offer on it!) and we put an offer on a house in Michigan. Looks like we will be moving at the end of May.

So what is everyone doing right now, rotation wise? I noticed that the name changed for the check-in. I have got 7 weeks and 5 days until I leave for Alaska and my sister's wedding and I need to get in shape. All this travel and eating out has taken it's toll! I need to lose some weight and get my arms buffed up for wearing my strappy little bridesMatron dress. I am going to do a 4 week CTX/PS rotation in the hopes that some extra cardio will help out with the fat burning department.....unless someone here has come up with a really fantastic rotation that will solve all my problems.

I may not be able to check in much - my husband has started his new job, but is working from home which means he has been hogging the computer.

Hope everyone is well - I going to try and read some old posts so that I can catch up on what everyone is doing.

Tracy

Good evening everybody. It's currently 9:20 p.m. as I type this. Just got back from a day at the beach. The heat out there was just as bad, but I enjoyed it just the same. We gathered all the kids and put them in the speedboat, drove them into deeper waters where the water was clearer and they could look down to watch schools of fish. We got them some starfish, sea urchins and sea cucumbers for them to explore. It was a lot of fun. I do have a sunburned back now that needs soothing.

Brenda, was it you who asked if I am the only one in my family living the States? Yes, I am. My eldest brother used to live in St. Louis but came home to take over the family business after my father was diagnosed with cancer ten years ago.

I'm going to bed and definitely getting lots of sleep tonight so I can work out tomorrow. Don't know which yet. Maybe PUB.

I'll try to check in again tomorrow and hopefully have more to say.:) Good night everybody. Funny how I'm going to bed when you guys are just starting the day. You're all in my thoughts and you all inspire my workouts. The jet lag is getting better. I have friends calling my family members, asking when I'm free. All these people I still have to see... And I still want to go to the cemeteries and pay my respects to many relatives. Andrew is having the time of his life. Lots of cousins to play with, tons of toys, a lot of room to run around, great food, laughter everywhere. He misses his father terribly and yet he says he doesn't want to go back to Texas. He also wants to take our old rottweiler home with us. I tell him we may not be able to get him through customs.:7 he has no idea what that means. Man, I'm beat. Hitting the hay now.

HI Tracy,
I had to chime in here and say that if I were you I would do the Tank Top Rotation.I had great difination in my arms when I did that rotation, exspecially where you are going to be wearing a starpy dress.
I have started to doing BFL as of today. I did PUB and I was burning I am going to go for a quick run outside today as well.I think the dog needs a little exercise, hopefully I won't upset is belly again!

Reunion Indeed!
Hello all - those who remember me and those who do not! Spring training is over and I'm almost caught up at work. I have had a hiatus from my normal workout routine. I believe that in addition to stressful life situations, my workouts were too stressful - I was loosing ground - couldn't complete workouts and was having chronic pain in right hip and groin. So I've been doing yoga and a little running. The subtleties of yoga are intriguing. I have added some fun and beautiful workouts to my dvd collection.

Tracy - isn't the housing market crazy?

Lori - I decided long ago that dogs think carpet is grass and that is why they seek it out to ahem unload in the house. (my sister has a crazy dog who will NOT poop on grass but goes on the sidewalk/driveway. When he was a puppy the ground was frozen over with icy snow and so he thinks it has to be hard for him to poop properly)

Pinky - You are on the other side of the world!! (I'm guessing you are in the Phillipines - is that right? What city are you nearest to? Can you see the southern constellations at night? Can you see the Magellanic Clouds - I know, I know you're probably in a city with all kinds of light pollution and you can barely see the moon!

Greetings to Brenda, Sabine, Lisa, Lori and all the rest of you lovely ladies.

Hello everyone!

Great to hear from you again, Pinky and that Andrew is having a blast with his cousins and the rottie!:) Enjoy your PUB w/o.

Joy- really nice to hear from you. Know you've been busy.

Tracy- congrats on selling your home- the first day on the market no less! Hope you find a house in Michigan quickly. Post when you can.

Sabine- yes, I'm lucky to be married to a wonderful hubby and martial arts instructor. I instructed for over 15 yrs together with DH until my conditions caused me to make the decision to stop teaching and instead put my time, expertise and experience in training our staff.

Doing L&G today- going to hop to in a minute. In reference to yoga- I hope I didn't mislead anyone- I did SS then a 45 minute relaxation (Candlelight Yoga) yoga tape afterwards. I find I need the extra stretching after a weight w/o.

Hellos to Lisa, Shywolf, Judy, Lori, Kim and CID.

Good Morning all,

It was like a reunion reading the posts from Tracy and Joy and Pinky. So good to have you back Tracy and Joy! I missed 'seeing' you around here. And good to hear that home is treating you so well, Pinky, and that Andrew is having such a great time!

Another shift in weather and my voice is fading again. This is getting sooooo old!

Today I did Christi Taylor Solid Gold Cardio and did pretty good considering I had only previewed it once and this was the first time doing the workout. Her workouts are always so much fun and this one was no exception. Can't wait to do it again and really nail down the choreography.

Thought I'd throw out a fun question for everyone: What workout did you once consider REALLY hard and now it doesn't seem that intimidating?

Mine are
Firm Body Sculpt with Jen Carmen
Boot Camp (still tough but this one used to have a serious dread factor with it)
Christi Taylor's Still Jumpin'

Good afternoon everyone and extra hellos to Joy, Tracy & Pinky!

I caught up on your posts, Lori, regarding your Britney trip- sounds like it was fun and your daughter I bet had a wonderful time! I've actually been listening to "Toxic" and "Me Against the Music" on my IPod over and over for motivation. She does make a good dance song although I've been told I shouldn't dance (think Elaine in Seinfeld).

Lori, I also thought of you because the weather is beautiful and I dragged out the baby jogger and took them out for a 3 mile run (after wiping off the leaves/dirt/spiders - yuck). Taking the last months off and doing the Cathe workouts has really helped me rest my knees. I had no pain anywhere but didn't want to push it too much and ruin my first time out.

Has anyone ever considered HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) where you jog 30 seconds/sprint 30 seconds for 15 minutes (that's an example)? I was looking at a specific HIIT site and the numbers are impressive about fat loss but, well, it sounds really tough.

I forget what we're doing today- PUB or PLB?

Sabine, we're pretty much doing our own workout instead of the M&F Hers- its more heavy weights/cardio and our own motifications.
Hope your voice comes back soon- does it always last this long?

Tracy, I agree, Sabine's Tank Top workout gave me really good definition for upper body. Congrats on selling the house!! I can't even imagine how busy your life must be right now.x(

Joy, welcome back & Pinky, it sounds like you & Andrew are having an incredible time.

Hi's to everyone else out there-

Check in later.

Brenda

Hello to all!

Just got back from my weight watcher meeting and I had to weigh in since it's the first meeting of the month and I lost 1.5 lbs. I'm starting to believe that I can finally get this last 10 pounds off. Tonight is kickboxing and looking forward to it. I'm taking Friday off work to do some me things - along with take the dog to the groomer. I'm not very talkative today for some reasons.
Have a great day everyone!!
Kim

Hello everyone!

I'm not feeling that great today. I think it's the pollen. It's a beautiful day out, warm and sunny but I just don't want to be out there, because my head feels all blown up. Oh well, I guess it's time for the sudafed. Anyway, I didn't work out yet today. Maybe some pilates or yoga after work, to clear my head.

I'm pleasantly sore from doing the upper body part of Body Max yesterday. I look forward to doing that more. My kids must be having a great time in TX...I wasn't told yesterday that I'm being missed. I guess that's good...

Joy, glad to have you back. I've recently gotten some new yoga workouts also. I got Hard Body Yoga, which is more for strength, Eoin Finn's Yoga for Happiness, Seane Corn's yoga DVD (can't remember the name), and Baron Baptiste Live. I've previewed part of the Eoin Finn DVD (it's actually six or seven workouts) and the Seane Corn DVD; I think I prefer Eoin Finn from the preview. What did you get?

Pinky, great to hear from you again. I'm so glad both you and Andrew are having a wonderful time.

Tracy, congratulations on selling your home here and finding a new one.

Elizabeth, Sabine, Shywolf, Judy, Kim, CinDee (did I get everyone?)--Hello!

Have a great day!

The kids are outside playing, so I thought I'd see what's happening. Hi to Joy and Tracy...I've only been checking in with you all for about 2 weeks now so it's nice to "meet" you.

Today will be PLB and abs. Yesterday was more than I expected it to be! DH and I conquered 25 miles biking and half-way through I remembered I agreed to go walking with my neighbor! So after biking we walked 4 miles! I'm not super sore today, but my energy and even my appetite are low. Lifting I can deal with but to add on cardio may be asking to much of my bod!

Lori--I love getting new workout clothes! Our puppies thought the carpet or rug was the only place to poop, too. I agree...I think they think it's grass!

Elizabeth--you didn't mislead. I was just curious how you fit in yoga. I always do extra stretching after weights also, just without a tape. I saw a picture of myself when I was doing much more yoga and I looked leaner and longer. I'd like to get back to that.

Sabine--Karen Voight's Energy Sprint used to floor me, as well as Kari Anderson and some of the CIAs. I just use Cathe, yoga, biking, and machines at the Y now!

Brenda--what web site did you go to? At the Y I'll run for 3 minutes then walk for 1 minute but that's the extent of my running intervals. Did you choose PUB or PLB?

Kim--congrats on the weight loss...that always feels good!

Hi to anyone else I missed. Check back later.

CinDee

Hi all;

Glad to see everyone posting :)

I still have not done MIC today, funny story actually. This morning I got out my puzzle mats for the Hi/Lo portion, changed into my workout clothes and got out the vhs tape . My vcr was not hooked up and I had no idea where the hubby had put the wires . So back I go and rechanged, although my mats are still out as I plan on doing it sometime tonight, maybe after 630 or so. This time I had the hubby get it all wired up and ready to go. It has been so long since I've used any of my vhs tapes that we had not used the vcr in what seems ages.

I\m having dinner ( my Grow w/ oatmeal) and soon after I plan on doing MIC.

CinDee- the site I used is stumptuous.com w/ Krista Scott-Dixon and she gave me these web sites for HIIT: http://www.musclemedia.com/training/hiit.asp
http://www.exrx.net/FatLoss/HIITvsET.html
http://www.wsu.edu/~strength/hiit.htm

I just finished an e-mail she sent me that discussed how great these workouts are for fat burning. I assume you can do anything you enjoy that gets your heart rate to its maximum (running hills then walking down, running stairs then walking down, jumping rope, etc...). The bad side is that its really hard, the good side is its a very quick work out. I'm going to start to add this in a few times to see how it goes (besides really winded). Whew.

Kim, great job at WW!

See all of you later- have a good night!:)
