Bike for CycleMax

DH and I have been looking at new indoor bikes, as I think now is a good time to buy AND my CycleMax DVD is still in the plastic wrap!!
Anyway, I found this one:

Amazon.com: ProForm 290 SPX Indoor Cycle Trainer: Sports & Outdoors

They call it an "indoor cycle trainer", but it looks like a spin bike to me. Does anyone have this bike? Will I be able to do CycleMax (and other DVD's) on it? Is it sturdy enough for stand-up riding?

The price seems really good (it actually went down $30 since I put it on my Wish list) so I'm itching to just get it.
Any info you have is appreciated.
Thanks,
Kel

yes, I own this bike already. Great starter spin bike. Make sure you follow directions to the letter on this. It comes with some temp stabilizers that must be removed first-don't do it last like me.
before you do Cycle Max, I suggest riding it for about five minutes so that you can make adjustments.
Also, I would suggest purchasing bike shoes and bike gloves. You will sweat and your feet need some grip. Cathe uses a towel during her workout, the gloves work better so go to a bike shop in your area cause this stuff isn't moving right now and you may find some good deals.

Thanks JT for your response.
I think I'm just going to get it. I'd rather ride my regular bike in the summer so this will just be another indoor option for me in the winter months. DH is just starting back on his exercise plan so he won't need anything fancy either.
I'll have to look into the bike shoes (I have gloves). I don't like the feeling of being clipped into a regular bike, so I was just hoping I could use regular sneaks for this too.

Thanks again for the info,
Kel

I understand totally but you may find you will have a smoother ride on both your spin and road bike if you have bike shoes. I LOVE mine!!
