bigger breasts

I am new to Cathe forums - this is my first post and may be my last as to how I am "received". Re this "breast implant" issue, many of you are posting judgments not "opinions". Or perhaps none of you who "do not understand" or "would never have invasive procedures" on your "God given bodies" have NEVER used lotions on your body, moisturizers and anti-aging products on your faces, eye-shadow, blush, lipstick, lip gloss, base makeup, eyeliner, face powder, self-tanning products, nail polish, nail polish remover, bubble bath, soaps, perfumes, toothpaste, mouthwash, teeth whitening products, etc....(list can go on)...on your bodies - and let's not even talk about what you may have eaten and put into your mouths over the years! And how about some of those questionable supplements? Anything that you place upon your skin or into your body is invasive (it is absorbed into your system), and let's face it - most of the items I have listed are much more toxic than the saline implants used in breast augmentation in sterile surgical environments. Think about it - those toxic products are used day after day and have a cumulative toxic effective. And I haven't even scratched the surface of what we use to "invade" our bodies. Lastly, no one can ever truly "walk a mile" in anyone's shoes. Every situation is unique and we are not here to judge. Thanks for listening/reading - I am not always so (I'm not sure what I have been). I am a fun-loving, healthy, active mother of 4 boys who was an aerobics/fitness instructor in a previous life BFB (before boys).

All that said I LOVE CATHE WORKOUTS! The results are awesome. I am a "normal" person and hope to remain "in the loop".

wow. okay, honestly, I didn't read any replies that were trying sound self-righteous about not touching anything or doing anything to themselves. People were merely expressing their opinions, and I really thought tastefully so. Really, I'm sure there are plenty who have done augmentations, etc, that don't want to talk about it on an open forum. No one seemed to be poo pooing you about your choices. Why the separate post? I saw it in the other thread, but okay. Maybe this is not the best place for you to be if you are that bothered. Sorry you feel that way.

Melody's other post says that this separate one was a mistake because she's new. Not a big deal, and besides, the other thread was getting really long. :)

oh okay. sorry about that. I missed the post thingy. No big deal, just wondered.

ETA - I see you are new & welcome new people but try to understand that some topics, albeit great ones, bring lots of opinions. Can make for a really great convo :)

ooooh melody. I think I missed reading some of the posts on the original thread that I should have examined more closely. I think I missed a few escapees. I do understand how you feel regarding judgment. I have to agree to a certain extent. I do, however, enjoy the somewhat controversial threads because it is interesting to read all sides of the spectrum yet it can be frustrating at the same time. Don't think you have to leave because of that.

Melody,
I agree with you completely. I made the choice to get breast implants and it was totally my decision and believe me, I did not take into consideration what other people would think whether positive or negative, nor do I owe any one an explanation as to why I did it.

As for those of you who would not have a person with breast implants for a friend because you for some reason do not feel that they would be as good as you or whatever your reason, more power to you. I am sure that I do not need any person who is that shallow and narrow minded for a friend either.

As for my other qualities, I have plenty of good ones. I am the mother of 5 great kids and the wife of a wonderful husband. I have a career and a college degree. My breast size does not in any way determine who I am as a person or individual, but your attitude towards something so superficial does say alot about your character.

I think everyone has their own opinion.
Everone talks about what they wouldn't eat, but probably do on an ocasion.
Me, and they talk about plastic surgery which i am afraid of pain, so would never do evasive. If I had a c-section hangover from 3 kids, I would certainly think about a tummy tuck.I may in certain cases.I would love to hav firm breasts again, but don't want dd's to think i look better. It would hurt when i jump.I had a customer Sat in to get her hair washed. She had a reduction. She was hurting.
No thanks, but she was having back problems(huge). She felt concious with this big chest.
I am not so wrinkled that i would even think about a total face lift, nor could i take the time off work to heal, but maybe in another curcumstance I would.
Most( I am not trying to talk for anyone) people on this site are trying to eat healthier, want to use better skin products, and are here to ask for help on exercise, diet, fitness , weightloss.
300000000 minds are better than 1.
I won't condone tanning beds if you use them wisely and not 365 days a year, but i feel sunless is probably better for you. I own 3 of them. People like to abuse them, many are smart take it slow and probably save their skin.
I don't think anyone is cutting on anyone, and isn't going to say you are unhealthy if you don't eat clean. It is just a guideline for alot of people who are trying to accomplish a goal.I myself eat partially clean, I like fat free soups for cooking and salad dressings. I just try to cook better and healthier. I try not to eat garbage foods. Sometimes I need a cookie .
So, don't take to heart everything everyone says. I think everone is voicing their opinions to hear yours . We are all entitled to one.
Anne

Hi Melody! Welcome to the forum! Oh, and of course we'd love it if you stuck around to chat!

Do know that some have very strong opinions about certain things. The most entertaining aspect is witnessing some get so opinionated and judgmental over something that has absolutely nothing to do with them and does not affect their life even a little bit. Who cares if "Jill" has this, that or the other done at the plasic surgeons...it doesn't change a thing in anyone's life except for Jill's.

Again, welcome to the forum!

This topic has been beaten to death over the years. Don't you think? What's the point people? Move on!

Hi Melody--I just want you to know that even though I chose not to get augmentation, I am in complete agreement with you.

I think this is an issue that goes deeper than just whether to get implants or not. I think it's a philosophical difference and many of us on this board respectfully disagree with each other. In my own opinion, I think it comes down to organic vs. chemicals/science. There are many in this forum who prefer "all natural," so to speak, which is integrated into their entire lifestyle (diet, cosmetics, etc), and many others who are willing to take advantage of the advancements science & technology have brought to society. I'm not saying either is wrong or right, it's just a difference in philosophies.

Personally I'm all for the scientific approach. There are certain things I'd like for myself that I cannot accomplish by hard work. If I could I would certainly be willing to put the time & energy into it. This is not about "having bigger breasts" or "attracting men." This is a holistic philosophy that focuses on my inner self. If having larger breasts makes me feel better about myself & gives me confidence I did not have before, then it's a very good thing. If having a facelift makes me feel better about myself & gives me confidence I did not have before, that's a good thing too. If I'm gonna spend the money & go through the discomfort, I'm doing it for myself & only myself--not for a man, not to be what society thinks I should be, but for my soul.

I sincerely believe in taking advantage of the leaps & bounds that have ocurred in chemistry & cosmetic surgery over the last decades. A lot of people don't realize there are many organic things that may be harmful, while there are many chemicals that may be beneficial.

That said, there are others who feel the opposite & that's OK too. :)

What is a judgement? "opinion" is by definition
1: a personal belief or judgment that is not founded on proof or certainty; "my opinion differs from yours"

I am still confused over what is at issue here. I know some of the buff babes here have augmented and why not? It can certainly enhance a body when done thoughtfully.

Welcome, Melody. There's always room for one more opinionated workout goddess here and always will be. ;)
