GOOD MORNING!!!!

I am up, earliest I have been in a LONG time to get my cardio in! WHOO-HOO!!!!!

Eating wasn't great yesterday, but today is a new day and I have a new attitude. Today is the first day of the rest of my life...what will I make of it?

Just getting us started today! Have a FANTASTIC workout, and an even better eating day!

What will you do today to make you feel proud? (I love the biggest loser:)

Jessica

Hi Everybody!

Jessica, there is actually a song we used to work out to in a Body Pump class that says that "What will you do to make you feel proud". I loved that song!

Got up and did Step & Intervals for my cardio. I think that one works really well for the BFL style of cardio. I then did Total Stretch. I plan to do a really good stretching session after each cardio.

My stats as of last night are:
Height: 5' 4"
Weight: 139.8
Waist: 29.5
Butt: 38.5
Upper thigh: 22.5

Not as bad as I thought!

Food was bad yesterday and I never did recover my workout...if I don't do it very first thing, it just never gets done! So I guess for me today is technically day one!

Hope you are all up and pushing play!!!

Food plan for today:

Having egg whites and veggies on a small tortilla for breakfast.
Cottage cheese and sugar free applesauce
Panera for lunch???? They must have something that will fit the plan.
Apple & string cheese
London broil, veggies, brown rice
Protein powder, skim milk, peanut butter shake

Can't wait to hear how all of you are doing!!!

Kerry

Me again, forgot to mention what my goals are.

To lose 10 lbs. and gain considerable muscle definition.

One of these days I'll actually get my body fat done and my goal will be more accurate!

Kerry

Good morning, ladies! Today to feel proud...hmmm.....what will I do today? Well, first, I'm done with my cardio! Second, I'm planning on putting my primer coat of paint on my front living room. Third, eat according to my planned meals. If I do all 3 of those things, I'll be proud!

OK....I was up early this morning for cardio. Funny, when I was doing the hour-long cardios, I'd quickly calculate exactly how late I could sleep in so that I'd have enough time for cardio and showering! lol I woke up and remembered that today's cardio HIIT is only 20 minutes long! And I STILL got up early! WOOHOO! Now....BFL tells you to hit a 10 at the end of that last interval. Do you think, that if, at the end of that last interval, you feel like you could PUKE, is that considered a 10? LOL I did the HIIT on the treadmill and LOVED IT! And I honestly DID feel like I was going to puke when I hit that last speedy interval! I maxed out at a 7 minute mile pace. OUCH! lol Then I followed that up with Core Max 3 and then Stretch Max 1. Feeling GREAT!

I'm enjoying my scrambled egg whites and a lite English muffin.

There's a good thread over at the BFL tracker where the posters are listing BFL tips that they wish they had known when they first started BFL. I've been compiling the whole list as they add to it. When the thread looks like it's dead over there, I'll copy and paste the entire list here, ok??

Alright...I have to get ready to hit the busstop with the boys! BBL

Good Morning Ladies ~ :)

Yesterday was a great day. Got all my meals in, 100% clean/Pyramid UB last night (feeling good DOMS this morning :))

Bam, this morning, not so good. Donut for b'fast. My body was craving the sugar, I couldn't help it. As I am eating it, I am looking down at the trash can, but nope it still goes in my mouth.

I am not going to let it stop me though, Meals are planned for today;

B~EggWhites w/ turkey bacon, & 1-slice veggie cheese, 1slice W/w bread
S~Strawberries/f/f yogurt
L~Turkey Breast, veggies, brown rice
S~CC/Yogurt
D~Fish, veggies, salad
S~Protein shake

Cardio planned for tonight. I pulled out Cardio Fusion (only going to do the step premix.

Thanks Gayle, I will have to pop over at Tracker and check that out, I must of missed it.
Sounds like everyone is doing great!

Take Care~

Just catching up on some of yesterdays posts, I didn't get a chance to get on at all last night.

Gayle~ Yeah, I noticed that also, about the extra cardio. I'll have to say I could probably still go after my 20 min HIIT. There are even times I get to that puke factor...(maybe I'm doing something wrong???) But, we are used to Cathe!!! :)

I meant to get to the gym this morning, but by the time I got up. I had to drop BF at work (his car is in for inspection)...I never had a chance. Looks like after work for me, since I have running around to do at lunch time today.

I was also considering doing the couch to 5k ... I started it before the RT and never finished. I am just worried about my knee, maybe If I start out slowly I won't have a problem...and just wear my brace.

Ok, off to get some work done! Sorry, for the babbling.. :)

Jennifer...what donut? I don't see a donut! Can't find it. Must not have even happened, so forget about it! LOL

I'm with you on yesterday being 100% as planned and CLEAN! I have to say that I wasn't even really hungry for the apple and string cheese at night, but I ate it anyway and am glad I did. I sure needed for my cardio this AM. I didn't hit that brick wall at ALL yesterday, and THAT feels good!

BBL

Gayle

I know, that is a great feeling when you don't hit a brick wall. I also experienced that yesterday...normally I have my head on my desk by noon...I had enough energy through-out the entire day, felt great!!

Just checked my delivery status on HSN.com BBC is scheduled to be delivered today...WOOHOO :) I am soooo excited!!! Can you guess what I am previewing tonight??? :)

Can anyone give me any reviews about BBC? Did you like it? Do you think the cardio will be good to follow w/ BFL?

Teddy-sounds YUMMY! I love food, so ANYTHING sounds yummy to me! lol Good workouts!

Jennifer-I really like the BBC set. My favorite, I think, is the Chest workout. I'm not exactly sure why. I like the pushups with one hand on the floor and the other on the step. I also like the chest presses where you hold one arm steady while the other one works. Cardio.....it's been about 3 months since I last did them, but I think they might fit in fine with the BFL principles. They're short, but very effective. I especially love the treadmill cardios, but I think both floor and TM would be fine for this purpose! ENJOY THEM!!!!!!!!!!! Be sure to tell us your reviews!

Gayle

Good morning all!

I also had a great day food-wise and exercise-wise yesterday. It was a cardio day for me, so I did the first half of Imax 3. I've had that for quite a while now, but I've only done it a couple times. Holy moly! After running all summer for my cardio, those explosive moves for the blasts really got me. Total puke factor. I'll be using that one more often!

So, today I think I'll do PLB. It's a weight day for me, and I've been using S&H for about three weeks, and I'm looking forward to a little change.

Food planned for today:

B: Protein shake
S1: Banana, low fat string cheese
L: Turkey breast and raw veggies w/hummus
S2: Pure Protein bar - s'mores :9
D: chicken breast, roasted red potato, salad (?)
S3: TBD. I always have a hard time getting this one in.

What will I do today to make me feel proud? On top of sticking to the above, clean my house and get my MOUNTAIN of laundry done tonight.

Have a great day everyone!

Jen

I think I had better refrain from reading everyone's meal plans til the end of the day!!!

Jen is planning on having a roasted red potato with dinner & now I CANNOT get the idea of a nice, steaming roasted red potato out of my headx( x(

Of course, my roasted red potato has butter melting on it....}( }(

By the way...I think on a scale of 1 - 10 that "feel like puking" is probably a 10;) Not positive but I'm guessing it is!

Kerry

Yeah, Kerry..that potato sounds yummy!

Jen-do you simply bake the red potato or do you do something different to it??? I LOVE roasted veggies in the oven! yum again!

Gayle

Hi Gayle, I actually made it last night for supper, so today's are leftovers...but all I did was quarter up the potatoes and season them with a little seasoning salt and pepper, sliced up an onion, and threw a few chicken breasts all together in a roasting pan, then popped them in the oven while I worked out. Nothing fancy, but it did hit the spot. These days, it has to be simple and quick, and of course, low fat! A side salad topped it off. Unfortunately, I never got a chance to do the roasted veggies I had planned, with peppers and zucchini and stuff, but I may do that tonight.

Jen

Good morning ladies,

I got up early today in spite of having a child with a stomach bug all night. I did abs first and then the first 5 intervals of Imax 2.

I could not keep up and had to take many breaks. Ithink I was able to say one word while doing it and that was "NO" to my daughter.Talk about wanting to lose it. I am so happy it is 9:15 am and I am done and showered. Now I get to homeschool. I'll be proud of myself if we get through with studying by 8pm and if no one else throws up.

Make it a great day ladies!

Good morning everyone! This morning I did the cardio blast premix for Drill Max and couldn't finish it :-( Not only did it really bother my knees but I am not in good enough cardiovascular shape at this point to come close to doing that. But I really think it was the high impact that really got to me. I don't have the time to do a different workout right now as I have to study for my chem class (test tomorrow, review session today!) but I think I'll do an advanced Tae Bo video later when I get home. No, it's not HIIT but some of his advanced workouts really kick my butt and they're fun. And the discussion about it on the open forum made me want to do one of his videos again.

BTW, that chili dinner sounds great! I love chili! Unforunately, DH does not so I have to buy a small chili from Wendy's now and then to satisfy my cravings.

Hello and Good Morning to you all!

It has been one of those mornings. Up at 5am to take my daughter to the train station. She decided in her sleep she was not going to go until 7:30am. Grrrr, I could have slept in a little longer.
Got my son off to school by 8:30am then to work. I just came back from doing inventory for another company so now I can check in with you all.

Plan: IMAX (haven't decided which one yet)

Abs and Stretch

Chili for dinner sounds great! My family loves this and it is quick to make.

I have to run...my son is out of school early today.

Have a good one!
Heidi

First….maybe tomorrow when we post, we can all kind of introduce ourselves??? I know 1 or 2 of you from other check-ins and stuff, but I find myself asking myself a lot of questions about your individual posts. Having said that………

Jen-thanks for sharing the roasting technique. I make a Roasted Veggie Soup that I LOVE. I’ll have to share the recipe with the group soon!

Veronika-home school? To me, that’s tougher than a 12 week challenge! LOL Good for you and your kid(s)! Sorry about the stomach bug!

Jill-I love that DM premix!!!! How far did you get thru it??? What are you going to school for???

Heidi-where is DD going on this train?

Ok, me…back from school/work. I always take a bar with me in case hunger sets in, but I haven’t had to eat it yet….until TODAY! I was ravenous come 12noon, so I had an EAS AdvantEdge chocolate yummy bar! It was good, but gooey because it sort of melted on my walk up to the school. LOL!

Time to finish lurking around the boards, the kids get home from school around 2:25, then we’re hitting the town library, then back home so I can put on that first coat of primer! Then football practice, and with a LITTLE luck, I may even put on the first coat of actual paint! YEAH!

Gayle

Gayle, I made it about halfway through. I have had knee issues in the past and I bet it's from the floor I work out on! I think it's carpet over a cement floor. I bought some puzzle mats but then my shoe drags on it more than it did on the carpet and I was worried about tweaking my knee. Now certain things really make them hurt. But holy cow, Cathe and her crew have got to be something like one step below olympic athletes! They have got to be some of the fittest people on earth!

I took 10 years off after going 1 semester straight out of h.s. and now I'm older than everyone in my classes (including my teacher in one previous class!). I'm on the six year plan and will FINALLY graduate in May. I will have a B.S. in Enviromental Earth Science with a minor in Geology. And I love it! Especially living up against the Rocky Mountains like I do (I'm in CO). I've had more than my fair share of people tell me "well, I'm glad YOU like it!" ;-) but I feel the exact same way about my older brother...after he got laid off from Hewlett Packard, he went back to school for finance...something I could NEVER do :) My husband and daughter still come home with rocks they find interesting and ask me what they are ;-)

Ok, any ideas of what I can do for cardio today?

Should I hit the gym after work, Treadmill or- a Step workout?
Any ideas for me?

Veronika ~ WOW, Home School-That's Great! My GF (6Swans4Me) home schools, there would be NO way I could do that. I fight w/ my daughter everynight w/ homework, it's horrible. I have no patience what-so-ever!!

Little about me;
I am a single mom of a 16 & 15 year old...Boy & Girl (there dad comes around when it's convenient for him)..work f/t as a Credit Analyst & now p/t at Kohl's starting next week...

Back to work - Touch base later
