Good morning, ladies!

Heidi-you have me craving stuffed peppers now! LOL May have to make a batch this weekend!!

What are your plans for this weekend, ladies? Anything exciting?

My plans start tonight:
Fri: comedian with BF at the State Theater
Sat: AM is a 5K race, PM is younger DS's swimming BDay party
Sun: younger DS's LAST football game!

I was up early for today's workout. I'm starting to believe I'll have DOMS the entire 12 weeks of this challenge! LOL My hammies are SO SO SO sore, STILL, from Wed's workout. ANYWAY...this morning was upper body. I went up slightly in weights using my plate mates, and OUCH OUCH OUCH! I just put a load of laundry in the washer and could barely pull the 9# box of detergent out of the cabinet! LOL LOVE IT!!!!

OK...off to shower. I've got a NORMAL day today, so I'll be back after the kids get on the school bus!

Hi Gayle: I am up...I can't believe that I am. My daughter missed the last train out of Boston last night! Had to drive in to pick her up and didn't get to bed until around 3AM.

Today:
Coffee and then a coffee power smoothie! Got toget moving somehow.
Upper Body...PUB most likely.
Maybe...Try out some of the new 4-Day split High Impact Step. This should jolt my heart up there a notch.

Sat: ClamFest in Essex
Sun: Climb Mount Monadnock in NH (this is with my daughter...but I have a feeling she is going to bow out of this one);-) Her boyfriend is in town for the weekend.

Wow!!! on those weights Gayle. I hope you can move tomorrow!

Good Morning everyonex(

I bet you all thought I was gone forever???

This has been a terrible week.

Not only did I fall off the wagon....but the darn thing seems to have run me over as well;( ;(

Monday was good did a great upper body workout.

Tuesday I was sick - no cardio - Tuesday night I went to bed but then woke up at 1:30 am and didn't go back to sleep till almost 5:00 so

Wed. couldn't get up and get going due to lack of sleep. Same basic thing happened Wed. night . Woke up around 1:30. fell asleep sooner but still very yucky feeling so...

Thursday morning - nothing - Same sleep situation Thursday night finally fell back asleep dont know what time.So..

Friday morning woke up and COULD HAVE gotten out of bed but chose to lay in bed and more or less making excuses and feeling sorry for myself for my persistent sleep problems.

I am working from home today though, I am DETERMINED to workout this afternoon and get my lower body workout done. Then if I do a cardio tomorrow I will have gotten one of each in and I won't feel so horribly bad about it.

I think I may actually have to try a prescription sleep aid.

It sounds like everyone is doing well! I'm going to be getting back withit too!!!

PS.My trip was very eventful, the very best kind.

Hi Kerry,

Sorry to hear about your sleep deprivation. Is there something keeping you from sleeping? Stress, mind working overtime, too much coffee or jet lag? It must be very frustrating for you.

I go through periods of waking up every hour or so during the night for days. Then things get back to normal again. I can't explain why or what might be causing this. Hopefully, this is just one of those times for you too.

I do have to say that workingout everyday has helped me get better rest during the night. I hit the bed exhausted at 10PM and pretty much stay asleep until 5am. Tonight this time will be much earlier because I didn't get to bed until 3am.

Try to get in your workout because this might help you tonight.

Kerry-sorry to hear about those sleep problems! WOW. Your body may be trying to tell you something??? Not sure. Hope it resolves itself this weekend. REST UP!!! Rest up to gear up for NEXT week!

Heidi-your weekend sounds like fun, between the clam bake and that hike! Will you do the hike without your DD??

I'm just back here real quick to post another victory! I stepped on the scale and it's down again....down a full 2 POUNDS since last Friday! YEAY!!!!! WOO HOO! Cheer along with me for a moment, then take my momentum and USE IT for YOU!!!!!!!!! I'm REALLY pumped up NOW! lol That's a total of 12 total!

Kerry, I am so sorry to hear about your sleep problems! Mine have caused me to write this week up as a loss. Wednesday night my sleep aid (Lunesta, which has helped me several times lately) did not help me sleep through the night and so I was very tired yesterday. Because it didn't work as well (and I REALLY don't want to take sleep aids on a regular basis) I went without last night and slept horribly. I've been thinking that maybe doing my workouts in the evening would help but I've done morning workouts for YEARS and I can't get the motivation going to work out in the evenings right now. We'll see.

Sunday is my birthday and so tomorrow DH, DD, my older brother, my younger brother, his wife, and I are going to have dinner at The Melting Pot to celebrate. I can't wait! Obviously that is NOT going to be healthy with the cheese fondue and the chocolate fondue.

I will be back in force on Monday, though! I felt great the first week when I ate really well and exercised regularly. This past week I have not and I do feel a difference. I'm off to have breakfast and do some school work. DD does not have school today so she's up watching cartoons. I have an intro to environmental health exam today, I've got a chemistry exam on some seriously difficult stuff on Wednesday, and I have to write a 5 page paper on geothermal energy by the end of the month. Ugh, I can't wait to graduate! LOL

Just finished my upper body and abs. I will do some cardio later today. Have to showered and ready for work.

Jill: I hope you do well on upcoming tests. I can really sympathize with you on how tired you must be. My daughter slept in this morning from school...can't imagine why.. We didn't get home until 2:30am. Maybe she should re-think trying to do it all. School, internship and work at the same time. She is really exhausted. She has to be at work Sat. at 6am. Hopefully her boyfriend doesn't keep her up too late.

Early Happy Birthday to you! Have a great time with your family. You just kicked in my sweet tooth. :p

Gayle: If my daughter doesn't end up being able to go my DH and sons are invited as well. So she can stay and we'll go. I just found out it might be really windy on Sunday. Have to watch the weather for the next day or two.

Quick check in, I had a kick butt workout this morning, I love morning like this, the air was cool and my apartment quiet.

Last night, finished strong with S&H bi's & tri's. I could barely throw a punch or a hook this morning, I had to put my game face on Argh.......

I could possibly be in trouble ;( our company is buying us lunch today PIZZA :9 :9 ain't gonna lie I love pizza,:9

I convinced co worker to order a few veggie pizza and hopefully I don't eat more than 10 slices lol. Have a wonderful day everyone:) :9
 
Thanks for the sympathy and concern everyone.

Jill, I have thought about exercising in the evening too but it just never happens. There is way to much going on in the evenings.

Heidi, I have no idea why I wake up in the middle of the night. It has nothing to do with stress or mind going on. I literally lay there thinking of nothing!!!

Sometimes I know it is because I may drink a glass of wine too close to bedtime. Other times, I just really don't know.

Boy do I feel like a big, fat pig though. I have done nothing but eat out for the last several days (business meals) and of course no working out.

I think the first thing I should do is make the commitment to give up my evening glass or two of wine

Jill! I also notice a big difference in how I feel when I'm not eating right.

So plan B is to be a big, fat pig all weekend and start all over on Monday - - Wine free!
