Morning Girls --

Just stopping by to report on my morning workout: it's a cardio day, and I did Boot Camp, which I modified by lightening up on the weights and keeping my feet moving throughout so it was more of an interval cardio workout instead of a circuit workout. Boy am I wiped!

You know, I bet if I didn't have you guys to report to, I would chicken out 50% of the time! But knowing you are sweating it out every day keeps me on the plan! THANK YOU!

I am so psyched to read about all your weight loss success lately! My body fat measurement scale says I dropped 5 percentage points of body fat in two days....which I think is less indicative of my workout success than of the fact that I need more reliable scale :)! Nonetheless, I choose to believe the lower number!!

Hello,

Checking back after getting 1/2 my workout done that I planned for today.

1st 1/2: SH Chest & Back w/ all planks
Modified the push-ups with weights. This worked! didn't hurt my wrist at all. So push-ups were done on toes very comfortably.

Made my BFL Pot Roast meal for tonight. Smells great!

Called the vets and animal shelter to see if anyone turned in my cat. Not yet. ;( I am so depressed that she is missing. Maybe she will show....she has done this before and was missing for almost a week.

Great job Kathy on your run today.

You did it Christina! Great job for not chickening out. :)

Have to pick up DS. BBL Heidi

Hey!

I did my workout this morning. I did my first ever itrain! I don't have a tm or an ipod so I downloaded it on my computer and ran in place...that's okay, isn't it? But anyway I feel...what's the name of that song...I feel GOOD na na na na na na na! It was the 35 minute interval #21. Now I have to get my ab w/o done this evening. UGH!

Christina, I agree with you that reporting here is soooo helpful! Way to go on your body fat percentage loss!

Heidi, can I come over for Pot Roast tonight? I'll bring the bread! I hope your cat comes home safely. I can't imagine what you are going through.

Amelia, I thought of you while running this morning as I knew you were running too!

Belinda, I'm hooked now too on iTrain! What is your favorite?

Kathy, WOW, 6 miles! I can't even fathom that!

I hope everyone is having a great day!

Good Afternoon Ladies,

I'm checking in late today. Had to do my workout later than ususal because the bug man was here for his inspection. Anyway, today was cardio and I did Body Max 2 Cardio Only, no power circuts today.I just love this workout and the music is great also.
My legs are screaming from yesterday's GS Legs. My inner thighs are not happy with the plye low pulses.

BBL for personals

Hello to everyone and Good Day!

Carolyn

Stephanie,

I think it is a tough but great workout. I used 40 lbs for the squats which was okay for me, I have built up to that doing the Slow & Heavy Series. What got me was the plye squats. I used the same weight Cathe used which normally isn;t a problem but the low pulse thingies burned . Definitely go lighter on the weights for those.

Good Luck and have fun!!

Carolyn

Hi Stephanie,

Wow that is great that you did an iTread. What an interesting way of doing it! You are making me giggle because I used to do the same thing when I didn't have a TM. I had a walking/running tape and used to do high marches and run in place when the weather was too bad to go outside.

All are welcome for dinner! :)

I run an open house and we have people coming and going all the time. This is how it is when we go to the islands too. It is just a way of life down there and my DH and I do the same here. I never know who is going to just show up for lunch/dinner and a movie.

My DS and I are really sad about Ashley (the cat) being missing. I hope she shows....

Belinda: I forgot...part of my workout this morning was also doing CoreMax 1. So I got my ab workout in for today too. Tonight I am going to do my iTread workout. I have to go to work shortly and then go get my haircut.

Hello to everyone and I hope you have a great afternoon/evening.

I will be back later on. Heidi

Hi Carolyn,

Great job on GS legs yesterday. This is tough! It gets me every single time.

I also think that BodyMax 2 is a great workout. I have this on my schedule for Friday after my SH tri&bi workout.

Just checking in from work where I am getting a little bit of the late-in-the-day blahs. But I need to get psyched cause I teach a class at 4:30...And I have a talk to prepare for a conference in Boston on Friday...Anyway -

Belinda – Way to go on your weight loss!! Hope you enjoy the new barbells!

Michelle – You are such an amazon with the jogging! I would try it, but I am too shy to huff and puff in front of my neighbors!!

Amelia – Welcome to the group! 90 lbs of weight loss is a fabulous achievement!

Stephanie – Way to go on the ipod-free itrain!! Where there’s a will, there’s a way! BTW - I’m on week 2, and I have already had two people say that my skin is “glowing.” Maybe it is just sweat though…..

Gayle – You DEFINITELY deserve that rest after your amazing weekend! I sometimes have trouble resting, but then I remind myself that I don’t get stronger from breaking down muscle – but from building it back up on my rest days. Oh yeah – and happy birthday early!! I love birthdays too – I hope you have a great date this weekend!

Melissa – Isn’t it amazing how after all these years, women still believe the myth that they are going to get huge with weights?! Maybe if enough of us show that that's not the case....the next generation of girls will get the message..

Heidi – I hope yesterday’s headache is all cleared up -- congrats on forging ahead with your workout!! I hope your kitty comes home soon – I’ll be thinking of you cause it is so tough to worry about a pet.

Kathy – Way to go with your morning run! I can believe that your legs were reminding you about yesterday’s lifting! But hey – It’s a good pain, right?

Carolyn – Body Max 2 rocks - I bet you had fun! I can’t believe you matched Cathe on the leg work yesterday – I don’t think I’ve ever matched her on anything!!

Hope I didn’t miss anyone. You guys are on fire today! Have a great evening and see you in the morning-

Christina

Belinda – Great job on the 3 lb. loss! Yay! I saw ya there with me and Michelle, lol. Which barbell set did you order? You can easily do a 5k now if you’re running 20-30 minutes at a time now.

Welcome Amelia, wow….a 6 lb. loss is awesome! Your powerwalk/jog looks good. You’ll be running like the rest of us crazy people before you know it, lol.

Michelle – Yup, I saw you flyin’ on the elliptical….go girl! (I was the one draggin’ butt this morning on the treadmill, lol).

Stephanie – I’m in week 5 (start of week 6 for me is 2/11/08)….and loving it! What did you think of the iTrain? Nifty idea to just jog in place!

Gayle – Enjoy your rest, you earned it after that PR on Sunday’s 10k! Again….awesome, amazing time, you’re making me feel like a turtle, lol. My fastest 10k ever was 54 minutes so you flew right by me! I hope you have a wonderful b’day dinner and time out with BF. I’m kind of dreading my b’day on the 19th (yikes, I’ll be 45 and I don’t want to be middle aged, lol).

Melissa – It is nice when people notice a difference. I totally understand not wanting to get into that conversation. I don’t know how many times I’ve heard women tell me that they bulk up from weights and I just wince.

Heidi – I hope the headache is gone and you feel better. My heart is just so sad that your kitty still isn’t home. I’ve been praying when I log on here that you say she’s been found.

Christina – Hey anytime the scale says something good, I take it as a sign that it’s right. When it gives me numbers I’m not happy with, I start doubting it’s reliability (ha,ha!)

Hi Carolyn – Great workout! GS Legs is a favorite of mine too (I know I say that about all of Cathe’s workouts, lol).

HI back again,

Went and got my hair cut. FINALLY! I haven't had it prof.cut for about 6 years. I usually cut it myself but this isn't working out too well. :)

Dad..oops(DH that is) I always talk to the kids so I automatically say Dad.. is working on the 3rd floor bath. Just putting last minute stuff in before the plastering crew shows.

I have to feed the kids...he hasn't done that and now it is past 8PM. Good thing I have my dinner already cooked and waiting.

Amelia, You'll really like the Pyramids.
My only suggestion:
Go a few pounds lighter than what you would use for SH or GS because Cathe does not take breaks on this one.

Have fun tomorrow!}(

Kathy: The new iTreads sound interesting. Let us know what you think if you try them out.

Hello to everyone and have a great night.
