Hi, Heidi, and thank you! I have credits at iTrain as well. I'm waiting to see what they have for February (or did they upload them on their site already?)!
OK, quick race report. Weather was gorgeous. Cold, but sunny the whole way! And HILLS HILLS HILLS! Which, I love, so I knew I'd be able to pass a bunch of people there, and I did! Mile 1, watch showed 8:00. Mile 2, watch showed 16:10. Mile 3, I decided to stop checking the watch and just enjoy the run. Mile 4...2 older gentlemen (in my opinion, 55-65 years olds) who I started the race next to. I passed them like 4 times. I caught up with them at mile 4 and told the one guy this was lilke the FOURTH time I'm passing them, would they just STAY BEHIND ME! LOL He said if I didn't pick up the pace, HE WOULD! So I did. But then he passed me at mile 5 (which was downhill, go figure). His partner was right on my heels. Kept the last 1.2 miles steady, with the one guy in my sights. The partner kept getting on my back, I kept picking up speed. I tried to catch the first guy. Last 1/2 mile, I picked it up, passed 2 more people in the last few yards, but just could not catch the first older guy! LOL He finished about 15 seconds ahead of me, he turned around after they pulled his tag and I pointed to him and said, "YOU!!! It's ALL YOUR FAULT!" LOL He gave me a great big hug! cute guy...he's 59. But there was also a 69 year old man 45 seconds ahead of me! Imagine that! LOL
GREAT RACE! I felt great the entire way. No aches, no pains. Just pleasurable FAST (for me) running for 6.2 miles! Heaven!
Time to dry my hair, make my lasagna, and get to BF's house for the rest of the day!
I'll see you all tomorrow, ok? I've got Upper Body on tap tomorrow. I'll start with the p/u from GS!
