Best Workouts for Balance, Flexibility and Rhythm?

Flyweight

Cathlete
Hello Everyone,

I'm new to Cathe's videos. Which ones would be best for developing balance, flexibility and rhythm? I'm not really into step routines, but if that would be best, I'm willing to give it a try. Personally, I like the strength, endurance, interval and circuit training workouts better. I need balance and flexibility for boxing (old style!), rock climbing and inline skating and more rhythm for boxing.

Any other suggestions outside of dvds? I'm starting to use my wobble board and BOSU ball more these days.

Cheers,
Lucinda

Boot Camp/Muscle Endurance would fit the bill here. You could do Boot Camp for circuit style, ME for the strength & endurance, and there is a bonus workout that combines the two that is great fun. There is no step aerobics in those two. I would also check out Drill Max. There is some step in it, but I have found that it does help develop rhythm and you learn to be quick and light on the feet.

I do not own Stretch Max, but obviously that would help with flexibility...

Keep your eye out for the next pre-sale. At one time, Cathe said she was going to put out a boxing-style workout. I can hardly wait for that!

Excellent. I have Boot Camp...my first Cathe workout and I loved it. Looking forward to doing ME tomorrow morning. I have Drill Max as well.

A boxing workout...too cool. I hope it's something close to real boxing. That would be too much fun.

I've signed up for the Cathe e-mail list...will that keep me informed of the presales?

Lucinda,

I do believe we will get an e-mail when a new pre-sale goes up. There will be a post as well; you will definately not miss it.

Sorry I didn't have any new suggestions for ya. I am suprised no one has mentioned yoga; the only yoga I have ever done was from P90X, but it really enhanced my balance (which is already very good) and my flexibility (which is fair). Got some functional strength gains just because it was so different and tended to fire up those little muscles that aren't often called into play.

Just a thought.....I don't have a lot of patience for it, but wish I did, because I can see and feel differences when I do it regularly.
