Best Sports Bra

Hi all,

I'm looking to get a new sports bra. I'm a 34D and I can't seem to find anything that is comfortable while stopping the dreaded 'bounce' during my cardio.

I currently wear under armour's Women's Strength 2 (D Cup), but I still have to wear 2 in order not to bounce. I'm sick of wearing 2 bras. I'd like to get one that works.

If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

Thanks!

Cheryl

Thanks!! I'm going to check it out now...I can live with the 'mash' (lol) as long as the girls stay put! :)

Champion also sells some great bras. They list the intensity level that each bra can handle, so just make sure you get one for High Intensity. And you buy them by bra size, not just S, M, L etc, so I find that they fit really well. I don't budge a bit, even while running or doing an IMAX video.

Title Nine has something called a Frog Bra. I used to be a C cup and a runner (ha and am neither now!) and I liked running in these. Warning, they are a masher bra but my chest did not move AT ALL when I ran. I thought they were comfy and held up well- I still have mine and on the rare occasion that I jog, I get it out. HTH.

Okay, I seem to be a little dense with respect to their sizing: S(32D-34BC), M(34D-36BC), L(36D-38CD), XL(38D-40CD) ??

What size did you go with when you were a C? Thanks.

I'm a huge fan of the frog bra - I'm a 36/38 D cup. I have used them for years and LOVE them. My breasts do not move! And that is the way I like it.

www.roadrunnersports.com has an over-the-head bra that works for me. I'm a 36D and am bothered greatly by metal hooks and clasps. I do not bounce in it, plus it's fairly simple and inexpensive... I am thinking about $25, plus I've had some of these still up to the job after more than 10 years.
It was discontinued for a while but there were howls of protest from runners who like this bra and they brought it back. If an over the head style is on your radar, I'll get the number for you. It has a lot more spandex than all other OTH bras I've tried.

Love the frog bra but love the Enell bra better. I like the front hooks on the Enell; it enables me to get if on and off easily. I had trouble with the frog bra if I was sweaty.

Always go with your band measurements first. Cup size is relative to band width.
A 36C is the same cup size as a 34D. When the band size goes up, the cup size letter goes down. I know it's confusing. If you focus on cup size, you'll most likely buy the wrong size bra.

I'm usually a borderline size, but have found that if I need support, it's better to go smaller than larger. Every time I've sized up, I've regretted it because I don't feel ... secure.

I've worn the Frog Bra -- it is a total masher, but everything stays put. Oddly enough, I have one that is perfect and another (same size) that feels like it's crushing me -- hard to breathe. Maybe I need to put it in the dryer a few times to beat up the elastic!

http://www.enell.com/ I've been using this one for years, it also looks like the one they use on The Biggest Looser. I love it...it doesn't smash or mash, and there is absolutely no bounce. It's pricey but I've had mine for 8 years and it's still in perfect condition.

Well, i ordered the frog bra...I'll let you know what happens. I thought of trying their last resort bra, but the front hooks turned me off. I have a zipper bra and I have a hard time trying to get it together...I imagined the hooks would be similar. I'll let you know how it goes!

If this doesn't work, I'm going for the enell bra! :)

Ah, okay. I think I have it. Thank you.

I am also a 34 d or 34dd depending on the bra. I find anything with underwire works well for me. I usually get Champion or Danskin.

Enell is the best

I have tried loads of different ones, and by far the most comfortable one -- which has zero bounce despite my D cups -- is the Enell one. I initially baulked at the price, and bought another lot of other 'recommended' ones, and yet again had both bounce and crushed breasts, so eventually I bought the Enell one, and it is FAB. I also like the look of it, and it really does feel to me like the 360 degree support they say it has. It is so worth the high price. And like one of the other posters said, I have had mine for ages and worn them every day and they show no sign of wear despite the frequent washing and hard treatment. With this bra I have NO EXCUSE not to run before a period when my breasts are tender.
