beginner workouts

i have a friend at work that wants to start working out. do u have any suggestions? the oldest cathe tape i have is mega step blast. will that be too hard for her?
 
not cathe, but i would recommend basic step/body fusion. it's newer and it's a great beginner workout, with lots of options.
 
What is Body Fusion considered? Cardio? What is basic step? Cardio?
why call them two different names. Are they different and how?
 
Basic Step & Body Fusion are two different workouts on the same DVD. Basic step is just that, a basic step workout. All cardio on the step. It is very good for beginners to Cathe or beginners to step. Body Fusion is also a step workout, but is longer and includes intervals of weight training between sections of step. It is longer than Basic Step, so it's a bit tougher. This DVD also has an additional upper body and lower body weight workout as well as an abdominal workout. I would suggest you click on "DVD" at the top of Cathe's website and read the complete description of this DVD to get more information.

so. Is cardio fusion aerobics? I'm trying to put them into categories so I know what I'm doing each day or session and why. Yes, I did click on the DVD section and yes I did get the names from the front page but if it made sense to me as to what exactly it is considered I might not have asked the question that is simple for others, but for a new person is not clarified.
