Begin exercising again with Lowmax?

When I am able to do cardio again, would lowmax be a good workout to do or are there any others of cathes that are good. I have all of hers but can't remember if there is low impact in some of the videos.

I want to get ready and know what I can start with. Even though it might be a month.

I'm no expert on Cathe yet seeing that I've only been doing her workouts for 6 months or so, but I'm totally hooked!! I have 15+ of her workouts and plan to buy more(much to the chagrin of my husband). But I think Low Max would be an excellent low impact workout to start back with. It is rather long and quite intense, but the premixes available with the DVD version shorten it up some allowing you to work up to doing the entire thing.
Just my 2 cents.:)

Hey Carolyn,

Yes I will definitely start with premixes on lowmax. I wish she had more low impact videos but the high impact is why I love her workouts.

Thanks for your help. Wish I could think of another workout.

Kim,

Just for a point of reference, I let my girlfriend borrow my LowMax dvd, she hasn't done step for YEARS and wanted a fun workout that would really make her sweat. So I figured LowMax would be a good bet b/c Cathe does a great job of breaking down each move and then the intensity bursts are lower impact on your joints, but still tough and challenging. So, to make a long story short, my girlfriend e-mailed me that very day and said "If this was LowMax, I'd hate to see HighMax!" The next day she was pretty sore, so I hope this helps & good luck, it's one of my favorites!

Hi Kim-
Do you have cardio & weights? I consider that workout to be not to tough/not to easy. It does have some High impact stuff but it's nothing like the IMAXes. And I don't think she goes over 8lbs in that workout either. Anyway, just a thought.
