Hi All;

Guess I'm here 1st to post for today.

Just finished KPC ...I love this one too! These are all great as I was just doing the TS last month I got a quickie from each w/o.

Has anyone done the premixes from KPC if so which did you prefer?

Today was a cardio day for me and It did keep my heart rate up with KPC. I wonder if I'll pay for doing the entire w/o tommorrow when I do Circuit Max.

Well Hellos and Hi's to everyone . I'm heading for the shower and then lunch. I also think I'm going to not eat breakfast 30 minutes prior to w/o as I'm feeling a bit sluggish and full in the tummy when I start. Hmmm something else to ponder.

I was hoping someone had started this - thanks Shywolf. I have not done any of the kpc premixes. I would be curious about that too. I was really curious about the kpc/l&g combination premixes.

I like kpc better than cardio kicks for the single reason that my groin/hip flexor gets unbelievably tired from CK. The two things that get me the most are the reptetive front kicks-four on one leg then four on the other and repeat (Cathe says kching during them) and the sequential power kicks.

Good luck with Circuit max tomorrow - you may be okay OR you may really feel it depending on today's intensity!!

I do NOT eat before working out. I have to be somewhat hungry or I will get sick to my stomach. I was just reading that during exercise the body diverts all the blood flow it can from 'unnecessary' organs - like the stomach. So your digestion stops in favor of the exercise.

After hearing everyone talk about Step Blast I just had to do it. So this am was step blast and I followed it with the shoulder and ab work from ctx all step.

ps editing post to add - I have vhs of Legs & Glues and Step Blast if any of you are non-dvders and would like to 'borrow' them. (I know most are dvd'ers but can't remember about all)

Shywolf, just lost my last post so I hear you! It was a long one, too...

Took yesterday off but did Bootcamp today. Didn't eat before my a.m. workout- I know this was briefly discussed- what is the thought on this? I read that one of the pros does this a few days before a performance to decrease fat, but I was feeling sluggish half way through. ???

Pinky, nice job on the weight increase! I did 30/35/40 on Monday w/LBP and got lazy and kept it on 35 for light/mid reps because it takes me so long to adjust my barbell. My legs just started feeling better this a.m. Ouch.

Joy, did you like Step Blast? I really think its fun but it took a LONG time for me to get the steps down.

Sounds like everyone's having a really good workout week so far (its almost Friday- finally).

Well, I probably told you already, but I have been doing the Slim Series this week, and probably do it for a few more weeks. Today was Tear It UP!! and it almost killed me. Tomorrow morning at 5:30 a.m. I leave for Rally, so I will talk to you girls on Sunday!! Have a great weekend.

HI Everyone,
HOws everyone doing? Just getting home from work and I am so contray.Twice this week I have made a special trip to the bank and when I get there,the machines aren't working! It makes me mad. We do most of our banking at one bank but our mortgage comes out at another bank.All we really use that one for is our mortgage.So,I go get money out of one bank account to put it into the mortgage bank account(two different banks) and low and behold,ITS NOT WORKING!x( And the mortgage comes out in about 4hrs.Oh well,not my problem,I did my part.I will go back in the morning.
Anyway,on a brighter note,when I was in a better mood.I did Bootcamp and a 70 min run today.It was about a 2hr workout.I did a 10min run before each cardio part but seg.7-8 were just 5 min runs.I was running short on time.

Oh, what a day. Long and busy. I'm so tired I forgot my password for a second as I logged in.:)

Shywolf, glad your post came through this time. Yup, I LOVE KPC as well. I haven't done the premixes but I sometimes combine the KPC combos with CTX Kickbox for a full hour's work.

Brenda, great going on Bootcamp. I'm really not sure whether not eating before a workout is a good idea. Pros do this before competitions to lean out, and I did this for a while. Two schools of thought: a) we have enough glycogen stored in our muscles for a full hour's worth of cardio and b) our bodies, in a "semi-starved" state, will break down muscle instead of fat as the body will always willfully try to cling to its fat stores. I can let myself not eat before doing cardio, but I always eat before strength training or muscle endurance work.

Today was PS-upper body for me. I wanted to separate C/S/T and B/B but I just don't have enough time for that this week. I want to get another cardio session in before or by the weekend.

Good evening everyone,

I decided to do a cardio workout after getting home from school today so I could have rest day over the weekend and really sleep in. I'm so excited that tomorrow is Friday and the weekend will finally be here.

So I did Christi Taylor's Totally Hot Cardio hi/lo and had an awesome workout. I personally prefer Christi's hi/lo to Cathe's as I think Cathe's just stays at high the whole time. That gets old for me really fast.

I've heard pros and cons about eating before a workout. Like you all have mentioned, I've heard that not eating will cause the body to break down muscle. I've also heard that not eating both before and for an hour after a workout causes the body to burn stored fat (a la Body for Life thinking). So I don't know what to do or what the real story is for me. Since I usually exercise first thing in the morning, if I eat beforehand I will get nauseous. So I usually skip it and have something immediately when I'm done along with a huge glass of water.

Anyone else around this weekend? Shall we have a weekend edition.

Sounds like everyone had a really good week with their workouts. Lorihart, I'm beginning to wonder if you are human (I sometimes have similar thoughts about Cathe;-) ).

Joy- did you order Christi's Humble Beginnings? It should be shipping any day now. I can't wait to get it and try the new workouts although I needed more virgin workouts like I need a hole in the head!
