Beachbody is just NOT worth it

I have ordered from them several times and EVERY time, there is an issue. Not only that, but getting them to provide customer service is like pulling teeth. Can't see them sticking around very long, no matter how great their product is!!! It just isn't worth this much time and energy.

I will apoogize in advance for my rant:

This was a gift that I purchased for someone. I placed an order and called four times to see if they could revise it. The internet order option confused me and I ordered something "deluxe" that I didn't mean to order. Of course, once checked off, they make it so you can't back out and fix it. The first call was 35 minutes hold time (on a Sunday, mind you) and she could not find my order. The second was 30 minutes hold and he couldn't find my order. My third call was another 20 minutes and the guy was wonderful (so I thought) and agreed to re-order it for me and follow up day to day to make sure that they didn't slip that first orders through.

Low and behold, today BOTH orders arrive & after now an hour on the telephone, I am not even close to resolving it with A SNOTTY representative on the other line. No "I'm sorry that happened." Nothing. Just "Here is your RA number, Mail it back to us." Oh ok, I will pay shipping to mail something to you that I never ordered, not to mention the inconvenience of going to the post office, the fact that it has been sitting on my credit card for a week (and won't be credited until they get there)!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? The superviser was much more helpful and friendly but it should not take a SUPERVISER to fix a simple issue like this! GRrrrr........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is ALWAYS this way with them and I think that I have finally had enough :( My time is more valuable than this and my aggravation level is WAY too high.

Sorry for all your trouble but I appreciate the warning. I was looking at that and I guess I'll just see if I can get it on Ebay or something.

She has always responded very nicely to my e-mails and fixed my problems. I think she is the CS supervisor or something.

I sympathize with your troubles with Beachbody. I've now ordered from them four times - two orders were problem-free (including my TurboJam, which arrived today!), one was moderately troublesome and the last was an out-and-out nightmare. Same as you, I had unresponsive customer "service" (and I use the term "service" with reservations) and spent waaaaay more time than necessary bouncing between Beachbody and my credit-card company to get the thing ironed out.

I love most of Beachbody's workouts but they're reaching that tipping point where it's more trouble than it's worth to order from them.

Christine I'm so sorry to hear you're having trouble. I would second the recommendation to email Amber Otto. When I ordered Slim Series and had problems with the order, she was kind enough to call me and help me resolve my issue. I did recieve my DVDs in two weeks and am happy to say they're fine and I really love them. It is frustrating though ... and it makes me wonder why they don't take steps to fix the problems. There are SO many people with the same issues. It makes me wonder how they continue to sell anything.

Sorry to hear that this is happening to you. There seems to be a lot of people who have trouble ordering with Beachbody. I have ordered through them 3 seperate times and I was very fortunate all 3 times. I received exactly what I ordered and the last order came within 3 business days. I didn't realize how lucky I had gotten, until I read up on the many complaints other people have with Beachbody. I think I'll be a little weary ordering with them now---luck runs out at some point!!!
 
If anybody's interested in the TurboJam workouts I'll be selling mine on ebay. I didn't like them and I don't want to mess with Beachbody with trying to return them.

What did you not like about them? I was thinking of getting them but maybe not now since I am pretty much a Cathe workout girl!

Christine, I'm sorry to hear that. I got my P90X as a whole package a long time ago, and that transaction went pretty well. There are other things I'm actually interested in, but now that they're selling P90 and P90X by piece -- you pay $14.95 at first for a bunch of stuff, and they send you a DVD every month -- I decided to not get anything else they have. Seemed too much marketing and hassle to me. Yours isn't the only bad story I've heard. That's why I'm sticking to Cathe.:)

Christine, I am sorry too. The BB consumer service is terrible.When I ordered the P90X I sent lot of email until they placed my order. Now I have caved again and I have ordered Turbo Jam deluxe package, the slim series and Power Half Hour dvd.I can't have a nightmare when I want to order from BB. That's the reason why I have ordered all the workouts I want. I can't understand how a company with that terrible consumer service can have awesome products like P90X.

Hi Debbie and Sue,

They're just not my type of workout it's so totally different than Cathe. Maybe I'm just too used to Cathe since that's all I do anymore.

I only previewed one of the workouts, Cardio Party 1, and thought it was a little too funky and dancy for me. I'm not one for shaking my booty when I'm working out. I would feel uncomfortable doing this workout in front of my kids. The instructor, Chalene, makes too many "cutesy" comments for my taste and likes to sing along with the music (which kind of annoyed me). I felt the workout was very repetitive. I thought the background exercisers did a little too much "posing for the cameras" and really liked to ham it up.

Again this is just my opinion of the workouts. Some people like that kind of stuff. I haven't listed these on ebay yet but hope to do so in the next couple of days. My ebay user name is jacqued32.

Thanks for all of the sympathy guys ;) I know that a lot of you are also having trouble with Beachbody too. It is really a shame b/c some of their products are great. I just don't think that they are wiling to spend the money on technology in their call center and hire the proper amount of qualified (nice) representatives!
