Well, I decided to take the plunge. Went into Sephora and officially changed my makeup from Clinique to Bare Minerals - OMG, I LOVE IT!! It's so light and airy and stays on, feels good, looks great! What took me so long to make that change? Love the Sephora store...but have spent a LOT in their lately:eek:

Just sayin' - the makeup rocks!!

Heidi - That's all I wear too. :) I have tried a few other mineral make-ups like "Everyday Minerals", but my face breaks out with them. I always end up coming back to Bare Minerals. It last me forever though, so I probably haven't bought any in well over a year!

I have been using Bare Minerals for about 5 years. I have tried other mineral products, but always return to Bare Minerals. I absolutely love it!!!

Love Bare Minerals!

They have great sales going on at Sephora. Have you tried the lip gloss??? Absolutely the best

Well, I bought some Sephora brand lip gloss...do you mean the Bare Minerals brand? Maybe I will try it next time. Thank goodness that store is an hour away or I'd really be broke!

I've also been using Bare Minerals makeup for a few years and love it! I use the foundation and eyeshadow, and love the Bare Minerals brand Buxom Lips lip gloss. Makes your lips feel amazing!

The Sephora store is about 45 min away from me, but shopping there online is even MORE dangerous...:) I love the free samples at Sephora. An Ulta store opened up near me about a year ago and they carry the Bare Minerals brand, and it's now only 15 minutes away....but I like Sephora better.

Enjoy your new makeup!

Another BE user! I love it. At ummm well, 53 it works wonders on all those areas that age has happened...;) Would not leave the house with out it! I love the new mascara too finally they got it right.

Enjoy! :D

LOL! I guess I'm out of the majority here. Although I like Bare Minerals, I didn't think it was worth the cost. I didn't think it gave me the coverage I needed. I've tried it along with several other types of mineral foundations. I'm using one of the cheapest ones around now and I love it.

I couldn't agree more, Heidi!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Bare Minerals!!!

I was a MAC girl prior to Bare Minerals and I'm never going back.

You think Sephora is dangerous? My local mall opened a Bare Escentuals store. OMG, the place is amazing!!!

I love it too. I've been using it for 7 years now. By the way my Target sells it for way cheaper than Sephora. Sephora is just to dangerous for me to walk into. I always buy stuff I don't end up needing or using.

I recently tried BM after watching the infomercials for years. I LOVE IT. I've never been a huge make up person but as I get older am looking for light, overall coverage. I'm very impressed and honestly didn't find it all that expensive in comparison to things like Clinique, Laura Mercier, etc.

Such a find. Now a want to try the other products... all I have is the basic set!

Sephora IS so dangerous!!! Free shipping on orders over $50....so I always have to *save* by spending....beauty bank points to redeem....so far I'm using it all, but still need to quit buying!
Thanks for the Bare Minerals @ Target tip! It IS the best!!

I like Bare Minerals, but I prefer Everyday Minerals (and they have FABULOUS vegan brushes). I've also used Simply Karen and Larinem and like all of them.

I've been hooked on mineral make up for awhile now! The only issue I was having was finding a good match (I'm pretty pale with a definite yellow undertone.) In case anyone else is in the same boat or if you need a wider selection of shades, you might find the same success I have had with Aromaleigh. They have a wider variety of 'pale' shades than I've been able to find elsewhere, and it's broken down really well by undertones.

OH! And the eyeshadows are WONDERFUL!! I'm not one to play much, but I think I have about 20 different colors right now  They offer free samples with each order, so I've been able to find some beautiful colors/textures without spending a ton of money. There are some frosted shades that are so smooth that they look like liquid metal on the eyelid., and some very subtle soft shades that are perfect for everyday wear. I've been using some of the bolder colors as liner with a straight edge brush, too...as I said, I'm not one to play with makeup much, so it kind of cracks me up that I'm even typing this... LOL!

Sorry to go on, but I've been having so much fun with it that I think it qualifies as 'cheap therapy' :D Finding the perfect match foundation was such a wonder after all kinds of disasters in years past. I just thought I should give up wearing make up because a poor match on me looks worse than anything!

LOL, I agree. I've always been such a minimalist when it comes to makeup - all jumbled up in a bag that I dig through and put on in less than 5 minutes. Now I have a special tray on my counter with a gazillion different brushes, and yes, emerald and vivid colors for eyeliners. It's exciting and fun, and I really like the new look. I even got Bare Minerals "Smoky Eye" tutorial with sample colors - it's really HOT  DH loves it and teases me kind of about all the time I spend on make up now.

Maybe it's because I'm heading into perimenopausal issues. Harder to lose weight - hard as hell to get that 10 pounds off that you used to be able to whip off in less than a month. I have aches and pains with getting older, but this makes me feel like I'm doing something for myself - bettering myself, and I feel more confident.

I'm really getting more into skin care as I see aging issues arise - had my first gentle peel and facial a couple of weeks ago (can you say AMAZING - wow!) and bought all kinds of skin products.

I'm trying to reverse all the dumbass stuff I did when I was in my twenties - sunning with baby oil and aluminum foil...OY!

Anyway, I know it costs a lot, but it makes me feel good.

I'm a MILF, DH says....haha...(American Pie reference, for those who don't know)

I have really bad combination skin - very dry patches of skin on my cheeks and really oily chin and nose. I finally tried mineral make up a few months ago. Pur Minerals. It was on sale for a pretty decent deal. It is amost gone, however. I was going to purchase another supply of Pur Minerals, but perhaps I'll try Bare Minerals instead. I'm guessing I can use the brush from my Pur Minerals set.

I just started using Avon's Mineral Makeup. Lots of shades to chose from so its easy to match your skin tone. I love it and the price is great.

Oh, I LOVED Jane Iredale!! The texture and coverage are superb. The only problem was that I had to buy two different colors to blend and it got expensive. And even with mixing two colors, I still couldn't get the right shade of pale/yellow. (50/50 Satin and Warm Silk were close, but not close enough when it was $50 per loose powder)

There was a site where I could get a decent price (not cheap, but do-able). Then, about a year or two ago, there was some kind of pricing agreement and all of my 'good deals' dried up. I was very sad about it because, as I said, I loved the product. I may keep an eye out for new shades. If I didn't have to blend two together, the price might not be so bad...
