Bare Essentials

I purchased mine at Sephora it is about an hour away. I have terribly dry skin And it just made it worse I did use it about 6-7 times. So if anyone wants to buy the kit I would sell it for $40.00 plus shipping. I was going to list it on Ebay.

You can buy Bare Essentials at Sephora stores. Some other local beauty supply stores are carrying it as well. You don't have to order from the TV infomercial. With Sephora & QVC you can order online.

Nancy, the salesperson probably did choose the wrong shade for you. You look like you are fairly pale skin (join the club) and BE has around 3-4 different shades for pale skin, with either yellow undertones or pink undertones. You probably need the pink undertone shades (plus you can mix and match the different shades to find "yours").

Except for BE, we should get rid of all other make-up

Best make-up ever. I am 41 and prone to progesterone-related breakouts, and this stuff gives good coverage, but you don't even feel like you're wearing make-up. Prior to BE, I had never found a make-up I was satisfied with. In fact, I was resigned that make-up would always be thick and "masky" and aggravate my already sensitive skin. I tried new products with all of their promises, but one thing seemed no better than the next, even the most expensive brands. When I discovered this make-up, I thought, "ho hum, here we go again." But boy was I surprised. This make-up was like a religious converstion experience. I only wished I had discovered it years ago. It could have saved my skin a lot of exposure to harsh chemicals and bad make-up. Purchase the "Get Started Kit." It is about 60 dollars, but contains three brushes, the foundation powder, concealer, and blush. It will be the best 60 dollars you ever spent. It also comes with a brief and clear demonstration video on how to use the make-up. You can purchase it at Sephora, or if you don't have one of those, you will find that spas in many cities carry the line. I buy mine at a spa in Wichita, Ks. CAll 1-800-227-3990 to find out where you can purchase near to you. It was the best beauty decision I ever made because now my skin can breathe and I can look great at the same time. I do hope you try it.

Nancy,

Also check out Everyday Minerals (http://www.everydayminerals.com) - VERY VERY similar to BE, but substantially cheaper, and you can order a sample kit for the price of shipping (which I believe was along the lines of $3.50!!!). You get to pick out 3 foundations, a blush, and a dusting powder. I have been using BE and really really love it, but found that my idea color is actually 2 mixed together. One is too yellow, the other, too ashy - together == perfection! The EM samples are quite generous, and give you a GREAT indication of what would work for you. They have great kits (or you can buy items individually), and the prices are fabulous. They also have 3 different finishes - orgininal (I think they call it "dewy" or something), semi-matte, and matte. I got the semi-matte and find it PERFECT - not too shiny (no shine at all), but not too matte. When my BE runs out, I'll be moving to EM (and in the meantime, will order some eyeshadows and blushes from EM).
