Bad food and the good girls who love it

RE: KLONDIKES ??????????

No Anna - they are chocolate covered icecream bars (no stick) about 3 inches square and at least an inch thick.

The jingle is "So big and thick there's no room for a stick...."

Yes, I see what you mean! I have stopped buying cherry pie for exactly this reason. It sits there and no-one helps me out getting rid of the darn thing so I have to either scoop out the artificial cherry pie filling which is the bit I love the most and then throw the pastry case away or just cut out the middle (wo)man, my stomach, and pitch the whole lot in the trash, which I just did yesterday.

So, that's it for cherry pie for about another year....... :7

(I agree with you on the cottage cheese front, what a waste of space, and you can add low fat cheese "substitutes" to that list too!)

OK, my bad food is Crispy Fried Duck, and I am a vegetarian (ish). I will only eat it if out at a Chinese/Cantonese restaurant (which is about once a year). It is divine :9

I enjoyed reading this thread so much. I loved the Klondike post the best! "Criky" they are good! I love Chinese food of any kind. The horrible americanized version of it. I always want to pass out after eating it. I think its the MSG.

Oh you guys are driving me nuts...but I love it! For me it is the sweet/salty thing. Edys ice cream and sour cream and cheese ruffles potato chips....actually it is ALL ice cream and potato chips....I could live forever on those two things!

I forgot:
My moms homemade white bread, with butter
Drumstick ice cream with caramel in the middle.
Strawberry cream cheese(which i eat by the spoonfuls)
Orange choc
Skor Bites
Sour cream glazed timbits
Chicken fingers dipped in honey
I must have the biggest list here!I think I will stop now or I will be hungry:eek:

TX sheet cake

Woman, It is only the best cake on the planet--everything is BIG in Texas, don't ya know. You make it on a jelly roll pan. It's a dense, brownie like chocolate cake topped with homemade chocolate icing. Do a search of Cooking Light's website---they have a "reduced" fat/calorie version that is to die for!
What would you do for a Klondike bar? haha. I remember when you could ONLY buy Klondikes at Isley's Deli in Pittsburgh. They are a special childhood memory for me. The ones with nuts are my particular fave. Now Klondikes are mass produced and I can buy them at the Giant here in DC. It's just not the same but I'll eat 'em, regardless :7

Okay, here goes nothing: (If I'm going to be bad, I may as well do it with the keyboard and not in the kitchen)

- McDonalds fries, in the car on the way home from the drive-through with my kids' Happy Meals;
- Oreos, with a nice big glass of ice cold milk;
- chocolate croissants, warm and melty from the oven;
- Ben & Jerry's Chunky Monkey or Cookie Dough, from the carton, eaten with a grapefruit spoon while the kids are asleep, watching a DVD with my husband;
- Those French's fried onion rings, right out of the can;
- New England Clam Chowder, with lots of crusty French bread for dipping;
- Fettucine Alfredo, need I say more?;
- A glass of Egg Nog on Christmas;
- A peanut butter and jelly sandwich, on Wonder bread (I tasted a crust I cut off my daughter's the other day and thought, "I know why kids like these so much!");
- Potato chips and onion dip--an American classic;
- Cheddar burger, rare, with sauteed onions and a side of steak fries (and of course, a cold, dark beer) . . .

I think I'd better stop now, my eyes are glazing over and I'm salivating like crazy. Gotta go broil some flounder and steam some veggies . . .

Oh my Oh my..... just when I'm trying to be so good!

1) Reeses Peanut Butter Cups - me and my roomate both gained about 15 pounds on these in college (many years ago). I won't let them in my house today! I do have 1 Reeses peanut butter egg at Easter ..soon approaching!!

2) Popcorn - I pop a bag about every two weeks and me and my two girls sit and eat the whole bag - YUM!!

3) My mother-in-laws homemade rolls - I always have two! (But hey - I don't use any butter)

4) Frosted Flakes or OH's cereal - straight from the box about 11PM (girls asleep so don't see mom eat from box :D )

5) Love french fries and fast food hamburgers but the past few years are doing great about eating those on a very limited basis

Good Thread! I think I'm hungry for a DQ cookie dough blizzard!!

Cold Stone Creamery Cake Batter Ice Cream
Peanut Butter
Chocolate Chips/White Choc Chips
Buffalo Wings
Pizza
Baked Chips (the new Doritos)

I don't miss much of anything else. However, my "bad foods" are eaten pretty regularly by me. After reading your guys' posts I started thinking that my diet was not so clean after all!!LOL!!!!:)
