Back to Heavy Wed 10/10

Hi All

Today I did GS Chest and Tri's and Stability Ball ABS from Butts & Gutts I forgot how hard that ab workout is.

This rotation is almost over. Will we be doing a check in for next months rotation when Cathe post it? I've never done a check in before and I must say I do like it. It keeps me on track.

I essentially bailed out after a rough few weeks with family illnesses and such. I am happy to say that I purchase a copy of Slow & Heavy which was shipped today and I will officially start the rotation from the beginning.
 
Lori, I always enjoy doing a check in so will plan to join in with November's rotation

Kathy - I subbed the bike ride today too. I tried out one of new videos. I did Hardcore Kickbox Circuit with Janis Saffell/Guillermo Gomez. It was okay definitely not as advanced as Cathe. Nothing exciting but a nice change.

Beavs welecome back, this is really good rotation I hope you enjoy it. Hope everyone is feeling better.

Yesterday I did BSB and today I subbed Kickbox Xtreme for KickMax. I'm not a fan of KickMax but I love KB Xtreme.

LOri did you like double cardio? I thought it was a lot of fun.

Hey Beavs I thought you were MIA. How do you like Slow and Heavy?

Jenn I really liked the double cardio. I loved it was fun but there are a few moves I need to get down. I did it again this morning. Tomorrow is a 30 min run may be hubby and I will run together since the boys hockey schedule is light. If we don't run I will do one of the new step workout.

My hubby went to the Wrold Series game last night. 10 rows behind home plate. Not too bad. Gotta love those SOX! GO RED SOX!!

Did GS Chest and Triceps and abs from B&G. Hoping the mailman brings the new Cathe dvds or I'll have to wait a whole other weekend to check them outx(

I took a rest day today instead of stretching and core work. Tomorrow is chest, tri's and abs.


Kim hope the mailman is good to you today. I work with lots of good mailmen. (hehe) Did you have a good day with the kids.
 
No new dvds for me yet:-( Keeping my fingers crossed for Monday!

The kids and I decided to stay home yesterday we carved the pumpkin, watched some movies and ran out to get Subway subs for lunch. It was a good day except that we ended up at a walk in clinic at 3 pm with ds having an asthma attack. He's 10 now and has had really bad asthma his whole life. We usually go into the pediatrician once a month for a breathing test and get medication adjustments. But throughout the day his breathing was slowly getting out of control and we couldn't get an appointment with the pediatrician and I hate to sit in the ER. So we decided to try a walkin clinic that is just around the corner from us. It's not the same going to a doctor that doesn't know you and I think he really over medicated him but he's better this morning and I'll get him into his regular doctor next week to get his prescriptions straighten out.

Hi All

Today is yet another rainy day:-( If I was a "real" runner I would have went for a run outdoors but I don't like to get wet while running so I did the TM I ran 2 1/2 miles and walked 1/2mile. I know I could have done better and gone faster but I just really wasn't in the mood for running. 8 minutes left to the run I thought I want to stop but I knew I would be coming to post so I kept on running! SO a great big THANK YOU!

Have you received any word on they have shipped the new DVD? I sure hope you get them soon. Glad to hear your son is doing better. That must be a scary thing to deal with.

I don't have anything planned for my workout for Mon, Tue, or Wed do I repeat the first week of the rotation or do I just do what I feel like?

Hey Lori: I usually do whatever workout I want to. Sometimes a workout that I haven't done in a while.

Checking in today with double cardio off 4DS HIS/LIS..Boy, HIS has some tricky footwork. That was the first time trying that cardio..Tomorrow is 60 minutes of all step and then I am done with the rotation....I am going to tackle one of the old ones off Volume 1..
 
Lori, WTG on the run! That's great that the check in makes you accountable so that you stick it out to the very end! Doing checkins definitely helps me stay on track as well!

The new dvds were sent out the same time as everyone elses. I believe Cathe uses UPS for USA customers and regular mail for international orders. A couple Canadians posted that they received theirs on Friday so I'm hoping for Monday.

Cathe did post that she might get the November rotation up earlier as some people were asking so keep checking maybe you can start it earlier. Assuming that my dvds are here I hope to start the Nov rotation Nov 1 on Thursday. Often if I have a few days between rotations I either do a couple of days of non Cathe or some extra running just for some variety.

Today I did a 1 km/30 min swim ( instead of the run). I would prefer to run but dd sure likes me to go swimming with her. The swimming is definitely getting easier. I will try and do my new yoga or pilate tape later to get in the 10 min stretch and 10 min ab work. I switched the weekend workouts around so tomorrow with do a step workout of my choice probably try one of my new Christ Taylor ones.

Good morning All,

Today is a rest day for me...getting ready for Church. Its a nice sunny Autumn day. When the rain finally stopped yesterday we saw the biggest rainbow I've ever seen and it was perfect. :D

You know I am going to mention the Red Sox..."love that dirty water...oh Boston your my home" I think it will be another late night watching the SOX.

Hi ladies..

checking in today with Step Maxx off the Volume 1 DVD. Anyone done this one? It was ok. Not a favorite. At least the footwork on this one wasn't too tricky.

Tomorrow I am going to do weights. Not sure what yet. Maybe a total body DVD..What is everyone else doing??
 
Kathy, I've done Step Max before but only a few times I actually don't remember much about it.

Sunday, I tried out Christi Taylor's "Step Heaven" but only did about 45 mins of the workout. I just couldn't get into it. The choreography was really difficult and I didn't find her cueing very good. The moves are very dancy. Also my body just felt really tired and I didn't have the patience to finish the workout. Oh well, trying these other workouts at least reminds me of why I like Cathe's dvds. Today was a rest day for me.

:( No new Cathe's in the mail today. My family is starting to make fun of my daily mailbox checkx( . I'm sure hoping a can do a new Cathe tomorrow if not maybe a run. Kim
