babyfat rotation?? HELP!!

Hi Cathe,
I know you are super/uber/mega busy and probably won't be able to do this. In fact, I hate it when people ask you to customize them a rotation, but I'm going to be a total hypocrite and ask that you do just that for me. I'm desperate. I gave birth to boy #3 (Charlie) in October and have not lost ANY of my baby weight. I gained 55 pounds (again) with this pregnancy, and I was able to get it off with the other two, but for some reason, can't seem to get any of it to go away this time around. I contribute some of it to age, some to a second c-section but most of it to lack of motivation. If you could give me a rotation -- I'd be SO excited to have a "custome-Cathe rotation" that I'm sure I'd stick to it. And I'll post it on the mommy site too in case there are others in my boat.

Here's the DVDs of yours I have:
Butts& Guts
Bootcamp/ME
Bodymax2
4DS
bodyblast Timesaver
Imax2/C&W

If you can't I totally understand, just thought I'd ask. Summer is around the corner, and I want to be a size 8 again ... Not my current size 16. :-(

ETA: I also recently "learned" how to run, and really enjoy it if you can let me know how I might incorporate that into the mix...''

ETA2: Thanks Cathe for being such an inspiration and providing not only workouts, but also real support. You are one of a kind!! :)

Hi Stephanie!

Congratulations on baby #3. That is wonderful. As you mentioned third time around is harder to get baby weight off... age increase, c-section, whether or not you are breast feeding, etc. Keeping all of that in mind we still should be able to get you wonderful results but it may just take a little longer for them to show up. But once you start to see the results they usually keep going as long as you are faithful to the following:

1) your workouts.... change your workouts around every 4 to 6 weeks, and make sure you have weight training AND cardio in the mix. Not just one or other.

2) eating clean...if you are faithful to very healthy and clean eating, results WILL come and stay...

3) Chasing your kids around :)p on the last one).

Okay, the fact that you have just started taking up running is a huge advantage because you jump start results on any program when it is new and your body has to acclimate....however, the flipside, is that too much too soon could cause you to get injured and have a set back just when you were starting to get results. So don't overdue the running, no matter how much you enjoy it or find that it is THE thing that is inspiring your results.

Do the following rotation for one month. After a month take about 4 or 5 days off and substitute other similar in style workouts (ie; cardio day for other type of cardio workout on that cardio day).

Week One:

Monday.....Cardio and Weights
Tuesday....20 minute run Abs from Butts and Guts (B&G)
Wed.....Butts and Guts (eliminate abs at end and do longer stretch)
Thurs.....OFF
Fri.....BODY MAX 2
Sat....20 minute run Stability Ball Abs from B&G
Sun......OFF

Week Two:

Monday.....Muscle Endurance
Tuesday....Imax 2
Wed.....20 minute run plus Abs only from 4DS kickbox
Thurs.....OFF
Fri.....Bootcamp (intensity series)
Sat....4DS Kickbox (cardio portion and stretch only..no weights or abs)
Sun......OFF

Week Three:

Monday.....4DS Bootcamp
Tuesday....20 minute run and stretch
Wed.....4DS Higher Intensity Step
Thurs.....OFF
Fri.....4DS Kickbox
Sat....4DS Lower Intensity Step
Sun......OFF

Week Four:

Monday.....Body Blast Time Saver Workout #1
Tuesday....Body Blast Time Saver Workout #2
Wed.....OFF
Thurs.....Body Blast Time Saver Workout #3
Fri.....Body Blast Time Saver Workout #4
Sat....Body Blast Time Saver Workout #5
Sun......OFF

Have fun and hugs to the kiddies.

Cathe--
I am so amazed that you responded so quickly. Thank you --thank you -- THANK YOU!!! I don't take for granted how busy you are, and this really means the world to me. Thank you for taking the time to write to me and to give me your advice and this rotation. I'm going to stick to it like glue, and I'll let you know my results. I'm sure they will be positive. And thanks for the heads-up on the running. I had no idea. I'll definitely pace myself!

I know you hear it over and over and over, but it really is true, Cathe, you are such an inspiration and motivation. Thanks SO much for your devotion to making women (and men) stronger. By making our bodies stronger, you strenthen our spirit and our resolve to be better at EVERYTHING we do. And THAT is quite an accomplishment.

Thanks again!!
