Baby gift help

Ok, I'll let real mom's chime in here...but my first thought when you asked if it would be silly to buy stuff she may not wear for over a year was just think when they ARE able to fit into it, they will remember your thoughtfulness YET again. ya know? Here they will sit and have this adorable outfit, and then when they get to actually put it on their baby, they will remember what thought went into the gift...

Again, real mom's chime in on this one...this is just an outsider's perspective...cute outfit too...I'm 35 and don't have kids of my own, but go through these "baby loving, need to have one...maybe" stages!

But, by the time the babe wears it, it might be too hot, weather wise. When we get hot in the Spring and Summer, so do babies. They only need swaddling in Winter and Fall. I would think most babies would be wearing 6 mths size by 3 mths of age, so in June.... Still, might still fit in Fall, and then would be most appropriate.

What do you think? Are they big people? if so, could have big baby, lots of growth in future months.....

Love the tee shirt, get it even if in bigger size, mums always horde clothes for future months, at least I did and do.

Clare, that's what my Mom has always said. That babies wear their 6 mo. clothes when they're 3 mos. I wonder why they size it like that? This outfit is terry cloth and is meant for the spring. So if I buy a 12-18 mo. size, maybe she'll wear it next winter? Very confusing stuff. Anyway, if she's warm, you take off the hoodie and she's just wearing a t-shirt and pants. But if she gets cold, you can put on the hoodie. That's why I wear these kinds of outfits myself! ;) Except mine don't have butterflies. :+
