Hey ladies!! Just wanted to get us started. I have some serious lower body DOMs from yesterday's w/o :confused: Walking funny today :rolleyes:

I seriously need to get organized and get a list together soon. I'll be busy all weekend and just need to get this done!!
 
Hi Catherine! I really need to get organized too and make a list. I can't believe it is next week!!!

I have been doing a lot of heavy lifting the last few days, but not in the gym - I had to unload 825 pavers with DH on Sunday. So, I haven't done any organized workouts since Cathe's class on Friday morning, but I'm keeping the upper body worked out ;) . I keep saying this, but I really need to get a few lower body workouts in before the RT. If I do not, I will be walking like a duck on Sunday like last year. ;)
 
Hi Liann & Catherine!

I feel the same way about getting organized and making a list. My head is spinning with what I need to bring. DH is going to get my suitcase down from the attic tonight and I'm going to start organizing and packing my workout outfits.

I really need to get some good workouts in over the next couple of weeks. I made up my rotation last night. I'm going to go heavy this week and then do endurance next week. My lower body endurance is pretty pathetic!!

Good idea, Catherine, to get a list going! After all our chatting yesterday, too, about getting dinner, etc., I'm especially excited -- nervous, but excited! I picked up a few new tops at Ann Taylor Loft yesterday -- hooray! They're having a really good sale right now.

Hmm . . . I think I need to increase the lower body work, too! :confused:

I need to form a list too! I don't know what to wear! How casual are you all going to be on Friday? Are you wearing pjs for the stretch workout?

I am trying to incorporate more endurance this week (and next) too. I don't particularly care for it, but thought it would be a good change. That burn just kills me!

I can't wait to meet y'all!
 
Hello everyone,
After looking at all the pics from this past weekend I can hardly wait for our turn. Today . I did a total body workout at the gym, jumping rope in between sets for 45-60 sec. and then I taught kickbox later. I was doing walking lunges with my class and slipped and crashed my knee into the floor. It did not feel good but I couldn't stop laughing.

I definitely need to make a list too. It sounds like the Saturday dinner is more casual than last year. What is everyone planning on wearing for the stretching class at the end of the night?

Ok, I was reading yesterday's thread and Liann mentioned needing the 2 emergency forms for the Friday class. I only got one form. It says "2208 Cathe Road Trips Release and Waiver of Liability Agreement" Is there another form that I need?

Kara, I'm so glad you're feeling less nervous! We really will have a blast!

Yes, I think Melissa's right that we need the ICE form, along with the Release one.

I was peeking at some of the photos from the Friday stretch class, and it really does look like everyone was wearing pajamas! Cathe has a cute pair on from Victoria's Secret. So are you all thinking of doing PJ's or yoga clothes? I guess we won't have any guys at our RT, so PJ's should be alright, right?

It sounds like the events both nights are pretty casual, so I was thinking of wearing maybe jeans or capri pants. :)
 
Leanne - I plan to be VERY casual. Not sure if I will do pajamas or just yoga pants and a comfy top for the stretch class - I'm leaning towards yoga clothes. None of my pajamas are in any shape to "show off" and I doubt I'll be able to buy new ones. I have to save my money for the hotel room and gas! ;)
 
Leanne - I'm planning on just wearing yoga pants and a t-shirt or tank top for the stretch class.

And I'm probably going to wear shorts and/or capris for both nights. I don't want to stress out about my outfits so I'm keeping in very casual.
 
Hey ladies, just peeking in to say that I am SO JEALOUS of your upcoming RT!! I just got home from mine, and had an absolute BLAST!! For those who have never met Cathe and crew, you just wait. They are all so wonderful and adorable, meeting them all is humbling. Also, working out with a room full of Catheites is so POWERFUL!!

I definitely recommend the ziploc baggie idea for workout outfits -- stuff gets pretty funky, I was DRENCHED after every workout.

It looks like many of you are planning some lower body endurance workouts, which is what I also did to prepare and boy am I glad I did!! I am sore still, but not too bad!

I am so excited, I can hardly wait. I am wearing Victoria's Secret "pink" bottoms and just a tank top for the stretch class. I will be as casual as possible. That's me, casual.
 
A little over a week...AHHHHH!!

Catherine - that really hit me tonight when I ordered a pair of white capris. I chose ground shipping, 2-8 days, thinking I had "two weeks" and they would arrive in plenty of time.

Then I counted the days on the calendar...:eek:

Gulp! You're right -- it'll be here before we know it! Better get busy with those legs!

If anyone is still looking for workout clothes, I was at Macy's today and a bunch of their Nike and Adidas clothes are on clearance. I picked up a couple of workout tanks for around $10 each (!!), and some pants for around $12. I love a good bargain!:D
