Cathlete
Good morning. Happy Friday to everybody.

I am very curious to hear how everybody broke today's workout down. As a few of you mentioned yesterday, I decided to break it down simply because I didn't think I'd be able to keep accurate count to 400 lunges! LOL

I FEEL GREAT! I was a bit leary of today's workout, because there was no video involved, but it WAS ALL GOOD! I broke mine down as below(and I even added some extra stuff in)...ALL MY OSU UPS WERE ON MY TOES! FIRST TIME EVER!!!! YAY

5 minute brisk walk on treadmill
100 jumping jacks
200 walking lunges (OUCH)
4 sets of 8 push ups
200 crunches
2 sets of dips
100 jumping jacks
100 walking lunges
4 sets of push ups
200 crunches
2 sets of dips
200 jumping jacks
100 walking lunges
200 jumping jacks
Followed by a HEAVY set of weights for upper body (bench press/chest flies, bicep curls/hammer curls, lying tricep extensions/lying triceps crossovers, shoulder super set)

WOW! All that in just over 1 hour. I took my time on the lunges...nice and slow.

Oh, and I thought I'd add that I went to weigh-in last night (I'm a Weight Watchers member), and I am down 5.8 pounds since last Friday! HOLY COW! The leaded checked the scale to make sure it was accurate!

Gayle

p.s. Were are going to be out of town all weekend for vacation, but the hotel has a fitness room, so I am going to do an hour-long interval cardio workout on the treadmill or startionary bike to stay as close to IMax 3 as possible for tomorrow's workout.

I am going to be doing today's workout of Cathe's tomorrow as today I seriously need to rest. I am doing the 400 walking lunges all in one setting for some maximum sculping of the boo-tae! LOL! I will probably have to break down the pushups those or have some kleenex nearby so I can cry all the way thru. LOL!

Charlotte~~

Good job Gayle!

Good luck tomorrow Charlotte!

I AM DONE!
5 Minute Power Walk
400 Walking Lunges

Gayle, congrats on the WI, WW helped me lose 35 pounds over 2 years ago. It is a great plan!

It was good to hear how you did today's work-out. I am one day behind, so will be figuring it out tomorrow.

I did Imax2 and core 3 today, and what a party in a box that is. It is so fun, that I was up and going, no modification, flying all over the place flinging sweat! Yowza, I have not done it lately, and it is just fun, fun, fun.

I will head to to pool for my 4th swim work-out this week. Yesterday I was powering through the pool, this work-out really works!

Hi, guys! Great job to those DONE and good luck to those doing it later.

Dorothy-I lost 40 lbs with WW, but have gained a little bit back (about 10)...last night's loss took care of half of that! LOL

Have an AWESOME day!

Gayle

Well, just yesterday I finally got the courage to simply print the routine out. I'm going to take a look at it this weekend and see what I can do - I don't have all the tapes and will have to mix and match. I may give it a try next month, depending on what I come up with, since I"m working on another one right now.

In the mean time, I will be very interested to see what all of you think about it!

I broke up the workout into 4 cycles and I was dripping with sweat after each one! It took me under an hour to do everything, with rests in between. I used BootCamp for the warm-up and stretch. I think I may have shorted myself 20 walking lunges, I lost count during the last cycle. I do them across my living/dining room. I can get 10 in each way.

I joined WW online yesterday. I did WW about 2 years ago and lost 14 pounds but between then and I now, I put back on 20 - yuk.

Any suggestions as to what the activity points would be for today's workout?

Not looking forward to IMAX3 tomorrow - I've only done the step portions in the past, the blasts scare me!

Good morning all! This morning I did Imax 2 and CoreMax #3. Felt great! I am feeling great :7 I am a little worried about the 400 walking lunges tomorrow, cause I am still sore from the 200 the other day :+ But ....I will do my best!!!

Great job everyone! Hey! We are almost finished with week one!!

Dorothy(from the other dorothy), on the WW boards fitness challenge board we have a Cathe thread that gets started everyday. Come say hi sometime.

Good morning. Did my 5am workout, so glad its Friday and I can sleep in tomorrow.

I did 5 minutes on the bike (1.5 miles)
200 walking lunges
100 jumping jacks
200 walking lunges
100 jumping jacks
8 sets of 8 pushups
4 sets of 25 dips
400 sit ups.

Took me less than an hour.

Congratulations Gayle on the weigh-in.

Kathy

I don't really care for these kinds of workouts, just me I guess, so I did MM instead. Imax 3 tomorrow, yikes!

I am going to do the workout as cathe posted it. Or at least I hope so:) I may wind up having to change some things around. I also plan later to add a run in. I am a cardio addict! Good job to everyone! I will report back when I am done with the cathe part of my workout.

Conni:
I thought the same thing about this type of workouts. But, since I had promised myself I was gonna follow the rotation to a "T", I decided to do it as written. BOY! OUCH! that was some workout!!! It took me about 53mins to do all of this!!

I'm gonna switch next Monday's and tomorrow's workouts around. I'm running a 5k tomorrow, so I thought that would count as Monday's 5mile run. I'll come in and run an extra 2miles after the race.

take care:)
Gloria

I did the workout today as posted. It took about 35 minutes. I'll probably just take it easy the rest of the day. I thought about adding on some weight work and/or cardio but I'm a little tired and I'll probably get in a long bike ride with my dh and some rollerblading with my dd over the weekend.

Curious - are you all holding weights for the walking lunges? I'm not but then it occurred to me that others might be!

Completed everything this morning. I did WW about two years ago lost 32 lbs. currently up about 10 but I am wearing a smaller size go figure. I am going to work my way back down so this challenge was right on time. Those walking lunges are a pain.

I will be doing Low Max (Blast Only (twice)+warmup+cooldown+ 20 terminators) tomorrow because I did Imax3 on Tuesday. I do not have Imax1. This workout should really fire the legs.

Karen :)

Great job Gayle and everyone else!

I also broke the routine up. I did everything but the crunches in four sections. I added the abs last:

1) 5 minute powerwalk

2) Substituted walking lunges with stationary lunges 100 on each leg

3) 50 jumping jacks

4) 2 sets of 8 pushups

5) 25 tricep dips on a chair

After all 4 cycles were completed I did programs 6 and 7 from Cathe's Ab Hits DVD. This added up to an additional 17 minutes. The total workout was about 70 minutes.

I am tired! This was a lot of work and quite a bit of sweat;-)

Keep up the good work everyone and have a great day.

Katrina

Ok here is my story. I read Charlotte's thread wrong and placed the below there:
===================================================================

I thought that 400 walking lunges would be a horror, but actually it was not bad at all.

A member of my gym and I were at it 5:15 this morning. Started out with a 5 min. walk on the treadmill, then upstairs for 400 walking lunges...whew. Caught out breathe and went right into 200 jjacks. I had to modify the last 50....oh my, all that jumping. The both of us were drenched with sweat and could barely see....counted for 20 secs. or so and went straight to push-ups.....8 sets of 8. I HATE dips (I think she does also), so we almost completed 4 sets of 25 of lying ext....could only use 8#.....OUCH.

When she left, I don't know what got into me, but I did 3 sets each of leg extensions and hamstrings.....40# each 12 reps.

I know I really worked hard this morning and my legs are fine.

I did a upperbody workout this a.m followed by 400 lunges and 600 ab exercises-I have a dvd that is a 100 rep workout so it worked perfect just go back and no counting.I did count one time and I had only done 95 to her 100 so I tacked on the extra 5 from there on out.It took over 75 min for me to complete my workout-I am going to try to fit in some cardio this p.m and maybe 100 squats-and 100 piles squats.I have to pick up my nephew and then inlaws are coming to visit so I may not get the rest in.
