Attn: All those who are losing weight

It's true - the international law of weight conservation. Weight can neither be created or destoyed. It can only be transferred. Shelley, just be happy that I am helping take some of that transferred weight on my own hips and thighs.

I have to confess, it's my 17 year old son. He'll eat 14 pancakes with butter and syrup. He doesn't even bloat, 5'11" 125lbs. It's a crime.

Shelley-
It wasn't me, that's for sure!

Shelley, you've been working out so much lately, are you SURE your weight gain isn't pure muscle? How are you clothes fitting?

You know, weight control is such a mysterious thing to me. I cut back and try really hard to be in control and I gain a few lbs. Then I give up and go back to eating huge quantities of ice cream and my weight drops back down again. I tell you, it just doesn't make any sense. There are factors at work here that I obviously have not figured out yet. <sigh>.

Thats what people kept telling me about DH but it hasn't happened yet and he is on his way to 31 yrs! He doesn't eat a huge amount of food but he is eating all day long and for the most part its trash that he eats.He is still 140 lbs and 5'9" or 5'10" not sure.
Lori:)

Your are right Nancy. A bunch of women I work with are doing Weight Watchers. They come to work the day after weighing in and the ones who eaten well all week have gained and the ones who had burgers and onion rings for lunch all week have lost. I'm not sure how Shelley could be training as hard as she is and still be gaining weight though. How could running 12 miles not melt some pounds away? It's a mystery.

I think I'm going to blame this whole awful day on him. It's not just coincidence that he gets elected and I have the worst day ever.;)

Where did you gain weight Shell? Your BIG toe? Keep up the hard work. I, too, battle it every day!

OK - let's think about this - you're doing something different to bring about the weight gain. Are you:

1) exercising less or with less intensity?
2) how has your eating changed?

Please go to the library and check out a copy of Dr. Shapiro's Picture Perfect Weight Loss and just LOOK AT THE PICTURES. You can come away with a lot of good ideas in not a lot of time, and you can recognize easy changes that you can make. You will not have to eat less, believe me.

Just Do It! :)
