Are you up to the challenge road trippers?

Well, Ladies? I think it's time to start getting motivated in getting into tip top shape for our Cathe road trip. Who is with me on this? What will you do to get ready for this? I think I'll work on losing those last 5 pounds by eating clean. Deinitely need to beef up on the intense cardio workouts and know the footwork cold. Also need to do more endurance weight work in preparation of Cathe classes.

Lorrayne-I am SO with you. I have 9 pounds I've been holding tightly for security, but NO MORE! I am not sure what exactly I am going to do between now and then, but I know, definitely, that I will run twice a week and one IMax a week. The weights, not sure.

I'd love suggestions, rotations, ideas, etc.

I'm hoping to shed these last 5 lbs (okay, I'd really like it to be 10) before July 15th. We'll see though. It means being way tougher with my eating habits than I've been capable of recently. And to be able to do more push-ups on my toes.:)

Heck, I'd like to be able to do 1 pushup on my toes! LOL! Okay, I think I can probably do 1. MAYBE 3. On a really good day. ;)

I would like to lose about 10 pounds of fat, but I don't think it's practical for me to expect that by July 15. I'll try though. I just have a hard time giving up certain foods altogether (ie, cookies). I hate feeling deprived.

I need to work on my aerobic capacity and cardio endurance bigtime. And, if this is even possible, work on my ability to jump higher. This white girl can't jump, and it's pretty sad. :p

I'm with you too. I'm not losing anymore weight but you better believe I'm hitting the weights hard for the next 2 months. Now I have more than just bikini season to motivate me. :)

I am in, I had too many B-days parties and baby showers in April and May that I need to clean up my act. What are you doing to get in the best shape?

I have been waiting for this thread!

I need to work on losing 5 pounds. I really have a reason to do it now!

I've been running a lot lately but I think I'm going to add some more muscle endurance weight training to my workouts.

I'm also going to try and eat more clean! :)

I was just thinking about this last night...wondering what everyone will be doing to get ready for this, lol! I'm thinking of throwing some more high step workouts into the mix since I'm thinking that will probably be one of the classes and (though I do like them) I don't do very many high step workouts on a regular basis...as far as the rest of it goes, I've really cleaned up the old eating in the last couple of weeks...now the test is to see if I can keep it up! This trip really IS a great motivator though! Good luck to all of us! :)

Count me in! My goal is to FINALLY get a stupid barbell and take my own advice :p and incorporate more strength training into my workouts. And speaking of workouts which have been absent lately - this calls for NO MORE SLACKING!!!! I need to lose about 15 to truly reach my goal but I'll settle for losing 5-10 by the Road Trip.

I've been doing OK on clean eating so far but it needs to continue.

I'm another hoping to drop a few pounds by July. I'm also planning on working on my form. I'm sure I get a little sloppy working out at home.

Yes- Those same last 5 pounds as everyone else! Hey if we all shared them, we'd only have to lose like 1/4 a pound...I could do that.

Last night I did Imax-3 as if I was in a Cathe class. I did fine until I got to blast #8...where you straddle and then jump up putting your heels together (obviously I can't think of the name Cathe gives it). Made it through the first 24, the second 16 almost killed me, the next 8 looked just awful and I had to pause about a minute and thne do the last 8 x( AAWWWW!! Kept wondering if maybe I shouldn't have signed up to go to camp, guess just feelin' a little nervous. Sure I'm not the only one getting the jitters.

Anyway, cheers to everyones last 5 pounds.

I believe you are referring to plie jacks, or what I like to call "The Spawn of Satan". Those ain't easy, and you should be grateful to be able to make it past the first 24. After the first set, I can't click my heels together anymore. ;-) You are certainly not alone on this one - it's tough. Don't worry, we'll all have something we're not as good at. If plie jacks come up during Cathe camp, I'm just going to do as many as I can, and then stop and fall on the floor and watch everyone else finish them. ;)

Emily -

You and I can sit and watch everyone else finish jacks while we munch on dark chocolate and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
