Okay, I'm aware I'm a germophobe. I work as a nurse in a specialty area where open infected wounds come to us regularly. We are immaculately clean and sterile there and if one person sneezes, another goes around and cleans all the keyboards, phones etc... HOWEVER, after reading the finger licking thread I see that there are alot of us out there. So anyhoo, I was at a symposium recently where a national speaker on open wounds, non healing wound etc.. was speaking and he brought up the possibility that we are living in a society that is tooo clean. Antibacterial soap, hand gel, dispensers in every facility keep us germ free. He stated the fact that this could be the reason for the resistance and the superbugs so to speak. One thing he did point out is how we raise our children. Remember drinking from a garden hose as a kid?? Does anyone remember their mother handing us antibacterial anything??? How many of us let our kids do that today. Really, something to think about, but not enough to cure me
just something to think about...
