Are u a Waxer or Shaver

I shave everything except the brows which are done every 4 to 6 weeks. I'm very particular about my brows and it just irritates me when some waxer exercises artistic license on them. But they look so much better when they are waxed. Cleaner. So I go to the same person (found someone a week after I got to PA) and all they do is a clean up job. The basic shape is intact and if they mess with it, I don't pay. Gee...sounds like I'm a jerk. I swear I'm not! Really! }(

Hi Gina. Nick is a sweetie, exactly as depicted on TV. He is always available to meet with out-of-towners who stop by and want to meet with him for a few minutes. He is kind and patient and always giving free advice to these women.

Nick himself is expensive, but there are many other stylists at different price levels. I can't afford Nick, but I use a Senior Stylist who is excellent. The staff have all been trained by Nick, and they all seem to be great. The salon is located in a very offbeat part of town, where rents are low and it allows them to charge a lot less than salons in ritzy parts of town. I suppose at some point, probably soon, the area will start to catch on, but until then it's a great value.

It is kind of expensive, but it is permanent after about 5-6 treatments. My underarm hair was so coarse & thick, as soon as I had the stubble back I hated it. Smooth Solutions is a laser place & they ran a special for $39 for the underarms per treatment. So I went for it. Now my underarms are baby smooth & no shaving. However, that is a small area & it probably takes like 10 minutes to do both underarms. It is annoying, like having a rubber band snapped at your skin continuosly. But hey, what women do for beauty. I can't imagine tolerating my lower legs for longer than 10 minutes. If it's really bad , I was told they could do numbing cream or something. I never asked for anything. But like I said, it's expensive.

I'm a shaver. There's something about the feel of the razor scraping off the shaving lotion that I really like. I like the smell of the shaving lotion too. I used to get my eyebrows waxed when my daughter was really little because I didn't have the time to pluck. But now it's easy enough to just keep on top of it.

>Kathryn, are you fair? I can't imagine not shaving my legs
>and I would love to not have to it daily!

I'm very fair, but with dark hair. I think I was hairier as an adolescent: I used to shave or "Nair" my legs when I was 16-18, but not after that. I never really had to. Every once in a while, I'll notice a stragler or two on my ankle (or big toe!) and pluck, but I'm so glad I don't need to shave!
