Hi ladies!
Jane - nice job on your race!
Tricia - cultivating a positive mental outlook is great and important but don't beat yourself up for being disappointed either. It's normal and natural and if we didn't get disappointed we wouldn't really try for things either, right?
Alisha and Cindi - Hi!
I was very unhappy with the vet I took Nellie to on Thursday so I am taking her to Charlotte (5 hour drive!) on Monday to have her tumor removed, teeth cleaned and back x-rayed. I know there must be good vets closer but I just want it done and done well by someone I trust at this point.
I'm in Hatteras this weekend. I rode this morning and cleared trail at the same time - very interesting! We decided that riding with loppers is the equestrian equivalent of running with scissors. Everything worked out but it was definitely a full-body workout!
I'm very excited to announce that after ages of working on it, Chip is now getting all of the way in and out of the trailer and is happy and relaxed doing it. Still have some work to do but I was so proud of him yesterday and today. He's such a good little horse.
I'm going to ride tomorrow morning after trailer work (with Chip and another horse). I'm a little disappointed that I forgot my workout dvds but don't think its a real big deal - I'll walk and ride instead.
