Hi ladies!!
Wow, a crazy, busy weekend, even for us. Friday was the Spelling Bee. Colin came in around 8th out of 20th. He did great - I was very proud of him. But it was so heartbreaking watching all the kids who missed hold back tears and get their participant trophies. Colin lost on anniversary. He knew how to spell it, but he said "e" instead of "i". He came to us in the audience and was just sobbing. He kept saying, I knew it, I just messed up. Oh, I hate moments like those! I know exactly how he felt and there's not much you can say to make him feel better. We made it to Jameson's band concert for the last song. Then we took Jameson and three of his friends out for pizza. Colin was feeling better by then. Saturday was an early morning soccer game for Colin's traveling team. OK, Colin played all of five minutes. The coach is one of those who stands there and yells the entire time. Don't know why he didn't play Colin. I understand some kids are better than others and will get more time, and I am so not one of those parents who would whine about their kid not playing. But he'd be in for a minute, just get going and he'd pull him. What the heck? This was the assistant coach. Colin is actually a good player, but he's one of the youngest on the team. Some of these kids are amazing. I told Colin hopefully his regular coach will be at the next game and we'll see how it goes. He was really upset afterwards. Then DH took Colin to his soccer tournament with our church's team. They lost one game and tied two others which they lost in shootouts. Sunday he had another tough game, which they lost 1-0. One of his good friends on the team got hurt pretty bad. He might have a broken leg. Then I was running around taking Caitlyn to a party and Jameson and Ian to friends' houses. Oh, Saturday night we let the kids have a few friends over to watch Avatar. That was fun. Although i was so tired I went to bed before it was over and told DH he was in charge.
I did manage to workout Saturday. I did Turbo Sport. Love that workout!! Today I did Drill Max. Um....I think I'm abandoning my STS/tonique rotation. Sorry Beth!! I do plan to do a couple Toniques a week, but I'm just not into STS! Too much time and I want to do more cardo. I wasn't looking forward to it today and I figured why not do something else?? So, I'm thinking a circuit or two a week, a full body, tonique and other cardio. Well see how long that lasts.
Oh, and BBL somewhere in there!
Don't know what made me grab Drill Max today, but it was a good workout! Lots of shoulder work, though.
Kathy, Drill Max has firewalkers!! Good luck to Lauren on her test tonight!
Beth, 421 calories is still really good! You're probably building up your endurance, so it's not so hard for you, so that means you burn less. I know, doesn't seem fair, right?
Hottie, I saw in FB you ate at Steak and Shake four times! That is hilarious!! Joe should have his fix now. Did you have any shakes? Hope you get home soon! Was the wedding fun?
Hi Chris! Hope you had a calm weekend at work! I'm sure you are snoozing now.
My mom is bringing over some hamburger soup she made for me to try. It sounds really good. Beth, I think you posted a recipe awhile ago.
OK...gotta go...have a good day!
