Anyone's suggestions...

Hi there,

Does anyone have any suggestions about how to alternate the 2 upper body videos in the PS series?
(Tape 1 - Chest/Shoulder/Triceps
Tape 2- Back/Biceps/Abs )

Any suggestions on how to incorporate the tapes into your weekly workout so that you're doing each tape enough times/week but also giving your muscles proper rest?
Any help would be appreciated!

Julie.

Hi Julie!

Well, you really only have to do the PS series tapes once a week. . . I have all three and did something like this:

Monday- BBA and short cardio
Tuesday- CST and short cardio
Wed- intense cardio day
Th- SLA
Fri-rest
Sat-moderate but long cardio day
Sun- rest

So if you want to, you could do CST and BBA just once a week at your convenience and probably get good results. You CAN, if you want to, also do them twice a week. I'd recommend a rest day or two in between, like maybe this:

Mon-CST
Tues- BBA
Wed-
Th- CST
FR-BBA
sat-
sun-

Of course you can work in your cardio anytime in that schedule. Is this the kind of advice you wanted? Hope it helps. -susan p

Thanks the the adivce Susan!

Thanks Susan,

Thats exactly what I was looking for. Do you think it will impeed (sp?) my progress if I don't have a LONG bar at home and try to subsitute it with free weights?

Sorry about all the questions...I'm new at this and want to do it right!

thanks again,

I'm not Julie but

if you mean a barbell when you say "long bar", it is not absolutely necessary to have one to benefit from the PS series IMO. Although I have a barbell now, I didn't when I first got these tapes and dumbbells worked very well. There were a few that had to be modified, but overall, I think dumbbells worked well.

If by "long bar" you meant a body bar (used in the legs tape for floor work), I used ankle weights or a dumbbell held on my thigh instead.

I have only recently obtained a barbell and am currently doing a MIS/BodyMax strength rotation, so I haven't been able to compare yet as to how much more effective a barbell would be over dumbbells. But I don't see where it would be a problem.

Hope this helps! Happy Lifting!
