I am bummed, we bought a 5 disc "programmable" DVD (Toshiba) at Costco many months ago, and I thought it was programmable for DVD's, but it is only programmable for audio disks!

I don't have any Cathe DVD's yet, but does anyone else have this problem, and has it really been a problem? How does it go mixing and matching workouts? Will I be wishing for a replacement DVD player, or will it be OK anyway? I know it is quite to switch DVD's with a remote .....

Thanks guys
Jen

I do have a programable 5-disc DVD player, and I'm finding that I'm really not using that feature much, as it's a little time consuming to program it. It's just much easier to hit "disc skip" and then go to the chapters and find what I need. I think that by the time I just switch discs and get to where I need to be, it's all the same, timewise. HTH!

Hi Jen~I THINK my DVD player is "programable", but if it is, I never use that feature. (I was lucky to figure out the directions to turning it on! :p) It is sooo EASY to just use the remote and skip to what I want. Sure beats forwarding & rewinding.

Your DVD player COULD be programmable

Hi guysJen,

I remember when I bought my 5 disc "programmable" Sony DVD player. The sales guy said that you couldn't program it for video DVDs; just for CDs. Well, I proved him wrong. It works just fine programming Cathe's DVDs (the instructions didn't even indicate that you could program a DVD as most people are interested in programming audio CDs....makes sense; why would one want to view a movie out of order?). So, it will most likely work. Do you have any movie DVDs to test this out? Lorrayne

RE: Your DVD player COULD be programmable

HM!!! Thanks everybody!
This is all very good news.
I am pretty quick on the draw with a remote.

I will try your suggestion, Lorrayne, I was wondering that very thing! Maybe it WILL work...I will try a few movie DVD's I've got around and see.

Jen
