Is anyone currently not able to work out due to injury???? This SUCKS! I canceled STS because I didn't want to NOT be able to use it. I want SO badly to work out and really miss it. I know people have posted this before; just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat. It seems like it will NEVER end!

Thanks for reading...

Kim

Sorry to hear about your injury. Any idea on when you might be able to start working out again?

Not really. The chiro said to start some stretches and I'm still trying to do some bicep work, but I'm waiting for an MRI. After I see what's up, I'll ask what I should and shouldn't be doing re: weight work.

Well that sucks. I hope you're not sidelined for to long. It's gotta be frustrating.

Not in that boat right now, but I certainly have been, and it is SO LAME! I had a major operation (unplanned!) about a week before the B&G, BM2, LIC, etc releases. I had preordered them, and they were delayed because Cathe was injured, so I had been waiting for MONTHS. And months and months!

I was in the hospital for a week. When I finally got out and was on the mend, I flipped through my neglected mail, and there were my new Cathe DVDs...and there I was with at LEAST 3 more months to go before I could even think about doing anything Cathe-like! I totally feel your frustration!

On the plus side, it motivates you to take good care of yourself so you can get over your injury/illness/surgery as quickly as possible. But it's hard to focus on that when you just want to get up get back in the game.

Hope you get well quick!

Dee

Thanks for the good wishes and I'm glad you recovered Dee. I love LIC and BM2 so I bet that was a DIFFICULT wait for you!! I will definitely reorder STS when I can, even if it's just to do the abs/upper body.

Kim,

Sorry to hear about your injury. I'm not in the same boat at the moment but have been in that boat a couple of times before. It's frustrating I know but soon you'll be as good as new and more motivated as ever.

Take care and hope you get better soon!

I'm not working out fully right now due to injury. I have 'stiff toe' and PF/Heel Spur. I think the PF/Heel Spur is almost gone. The stiff toe -- hmmm... not quite.

I can't do cardio now. I have stopped for a month. My Dr. advises me to stop high impact cardio if I want to avoid surgery on my big toe in the future. My thought -- what? THAT's the only way I can get my HR up. And cardio is for the heart. So now I'm looking at other low impact cardio. I might do one or two high-impact and the rest low impact (I usually do 4 days of Cathe cardio).

I might start low impact cardio next week. May be once/twice a week to begin with and see how it feels. I might take another month of cardioless if it still hurts.

As for weights, I'm still doing the same thing. So I'm keeping my STS preorder. Like another poster said, when you can't workout, you usually are more careful with your diet -- something I really have to work on!

I've wondered about the cardio myself. Since my injury is in my lower back, I'm wondering if I will still be able to do step or high impact. Low impact is okay, but high gets the heart rate up like you said. I'm also looking into spinning classes. Hopefully, we'll both be jumping around soon.

Well, I'm not off from total workouts, but I've been off from running for a month due to a broken toe!! I hate it!

Sorry that you're injured and hope you can get back in full force soon!

Kim,

I have been there with injuries to my feet - plantar troubles and it truly does suck. It seems that when you're injured, you get the urge to work out more too - which bites. I'm sorry you're going through this, but make sure you get well before you attempt anything again. I kept running on my feet and was in a mess and it led to a big lull in my workouts because I got tired of always being in pain.

Good luck!
:)
