Anyone using STS 4 days a week?

I just started Meso 1, 6-month rotation, and wanted to move through it a little quicker, so I thought I'd try STS 4 days per week. It's been tough, with 3 days rest for the targeted body parts, but I'm enjoying a decent level of DOMS that I really wasn't experiencing pre-STS. The bonus: I can finally do 10 push ups on my toes. This is after years and years of not being able to move beyond my knees.

Anywho, I'm tired, but so far, it's in a good way. The days I add cardio on to STS wipe me out, but I figure I'm still acclimating. If I'm still worn out a couple of weeks from now, I may ease up.

Anyone else trying this?

Hi Lori!

Just wanted to tell you that your concept is intriguing to me. I'm also doing the 6-month rotation, and while I enjoy doing each workout twice, I can also see where speeding the whole process up would be appealing!

Yeah, it's nice to move a little faster while still getting in each disc twice. I'm quite fatigued, but as I said before, it's not in a bad way. It's more like the fatigue I feel when I do a Slow & Heavy rotation.

I had thought about just doing 3 days of STS and then throwing in a 4th, full body workout like Muscle Max, but I'm too excited about STS. I can't wait to get to Meso 2. I'll revert back to the 3-day schedule then.

Smart girl;) I wanted to add a full body in Meso 2. I thought it would work.... but, I was wrong!
The increase in weights with the extra rest between sets is working. It takes a full week for my muscles to fully recover.
I thought I had DOMS in meso 1:eek:, but meso 2 DOMS seem to go a bit deeper and last longer.
I've never lifted like this so that may have a lot to do with it. I realize now all my workouts were endurance. I should make some big gains with meso 2 in the fall when I can eat a surplus of calories.:D

My biggest fatigue issue with STS are my hip flexors being really achy...not to the point of pain, but they're really talking to me!

Anyone have this? I actually skipped my cardio/abs yesterday to give them a little break, and will probably take today off, too, just to get them ready for Monday!

I'm LOVING STS, though, and Meso 1!

I'm okay in the flexors, but I have noticed that my DOMS can be more accurately described as "creeping DOMS." I'm 3 days out since my last Leg disc, and today I woke up with DOMS in a brand new spot there! Yikes.

I've also discovered that cardio right after weights is a lot tougher than I'd like. I know Cathe has said in the past to break it up throughout the day, but dopey me ignored her. *passes out*

I've been doing the weights and cardio on separate days. I don't think I could do them together without having some major fatigue issues! For my cardio, I've been keeping it under 45 minutes and then doing an ab segment and a long stretch.

I just wish my hips would get up to speed. I feel like I'm 90 over here!!!

Okay, I take it all back!!! I'm dyin' over here!!

The fatigue has just gotten worse over time. I think my first warning sign was when I hesitated going up the stairs to get the laundry basket, "Do I really need to do this now?" :D My second warning sign: 4DS Kickbox cardio was too much for me, and that was just a regular cardio day...no weights!

I give you credit for trying!!!:eek:

I'm already starting to worry about Meso 2, and I still have a few weeks of Meso 1 to get through!

i don't think any of you are "weenies" or should be compared to 90-yr olds!!! there is a reason why cathe says to do STS 3 days/week and take appropriate rest days -- hello!! there's a reason why you guys are fatiguing and feeling like even cardio is tough. your body needs to recover adequately!

Of COURSE you're fatigued. Goodness gracious, when I read the title of your thread I was sure you'd lost your mind! JUST KIDDING! :p :D

Seriously!! STS requires a lot of energy and I have been whooped since I started it. There is no way I could do it 4 days a week

Lori: I give you major props for giving it a go- I may try it next time I do Meso 1 (but um, not Meso 2). :)
