Anyone up for another "Clean Eating" check-in?

valleygirl

Cathlete
I did the recent "7 Day Clean Eating Challenge" over on the checkin board, and I loved the results and the way I felt. I'm interested in starting another one this coming week. I know it's a holiday weekend, so we could start it on Tuesday instead of Monday if necessary. Please let me know if you want to do this check in.
Thanks, and have a great Memorial Day weekend.
Valerie:)

RE: Anyone up for another

I'm in! I'll start on Monday, since it's not a holiday weekend here and y'all can catch up with me on Tuesday. My eating has been abysmal lately. I really need a kick in the pants. Or a check-in;)

RE: Anyone up for another

Thanks, Shelley! I am going to start on Monday, too. I need motivation for clean eating!! See you at the Check-In!

RE: Anyone up for another

Eating is the one area I am completely HORRIBLE about!!! I know I really need to do something like this to get me started. I am thinking about joining you guys on Tuesday. I can do anything for a week, right?

RE: Anyone up for another

I am in, I was eating clean for 4 weeks (well, relatively clean :) ) and fell off track Thursday.
I could use some additional motivation and a kick in the rear. I am sure Shelley will be good at that }( :+

RE: Anyone up for another

Oh, boy do I ever need this! I've just survived 2 weeks of full-day software demos where I sit on my butt all day and eat high fat, high calorie catered lunches and on top of all that have vendors passing out Lindt truffles all day. Ugh! At first it was a nice treat but now I don't want to see another chocolate again for a long, long time.

I'm starting to eat clean starting today because I feel lousy, bloated, tired, you-name-it. I have another 4 days of demos starting Tuesday but I think I'm going to pass on the lunches which no one but you guys will understand and do my best to avoid any chocolates that come my way. :)

>I am definitely in.
>when are we starting?!!

I thought Monday. Definitely not today for me, I had to have the rest of the coconut sorbet icecream I started on Thursday, although, come to think of, coconut is a fruit, so it's clean, right }( and I feel like pigging out, someone please lock my fridge :+ :+

RE: Anyone up for another

I am in, I can start tomorrow. I will tell you that I will be cheating on Monday with a beer or two and whatever my SO grills me for dinner!:D

I am leaving in ONE WEEK for the beach, and I need a kick in the pants!!

RE: Anyone up for another

I've been really interested in 'clean eating', but honestly do not have a grasp on it yet. Although I intend to with educating myself beforehand so I'll peek to see what it's all about if you all do not mind.

RE: Anyone up for another

I am very interested, but do I have to give up my nightly Pinot Grigio???:(
Oh and where do you all check in? Sorry, I am clueless!

RE: Anyone up for another

OH BOY! "Abysmal" is not even strong enough to describe my horrific eating as of late! YUCKO!!!

Count me in!!!

RE: Anyone up for another

You can eat as "clean" as you want to. With the check-in we had a couple of weeks ago, there were many different degrees of clean eating that people described. Several of us (myself included) did not stick to the concept 100% all week, but we'd have really good days and a few not-so-good days. Even though I did not follow "clean eating" 100%, I still ate better than I had been eating before. So
pleas join us! It's a great motivator! Go to "Check Ins and
Challenges" forum, and then look for the "Clean Eating Challenge"
each day. I'll see you there!!

RE: Anyone up for another

I'd like to join in, too! Anyone want to try Cathe's "really clean eating"? ;-)

RE: Anyone up for another

DF and I went to Borders today and I bought "The Eat Clean Diet" by Tosca Reno. I got SO intimidated looking through it! My eating habits are the pits. I think the fact that I have never had any physical repurcussions (i.e. weight gain) from my eating habits has made me believe (falsely) that it's not that important. I know it is and it's not all about weight/looks.

Anyway, DF said he is going to do it with me. That will help. I have almost zero willpower, but he has a lot. Then again, maybe I am selling myself short, because when I want to do something (i.e. give up sugar-did that a couple of years ago for a while-or run marathons, I am able to).

Anyway, I think this check-in is exactly what I need to get started. Although, it is funny that it starts on Tuesday-it's DF's birthday! Oh well, no cake this year!

RE: Anyone up for another

i would love to join all of you in this :) of course, i'll have to start tuesday because tomorrow i plan on having a few drinks and yummy treats.

i've tried this before and do "ok", but always fall off the wagon. i think this is mostly due to the fact that NO ONE around me is motivating about this stuff. i think the check in will really help me stick to it!

Cathe answered someone's post about being able to fit into a dress in 3 weeks saying if she ate really clean it would definitely happen. I'm assuming it means lean proteins, 15% carbs from veggies and fruits, lots of water. I guess I should see if she would clarify her answer. ;-)

RE: Anyone up for another

Hi All!

I would really love to try this with you all too! :)

I have to admit though, I may cheat from time to time by having a small glass of Pinot Noir at night! :)

Thanks for starting this forum topic!

Good luck all!

:)
