No money involved, just fun...I'm thinking we're going to find out in the next couple of weeks that Brie's husband on Desperate Housewives is having an affair with another man. Looks like we'll find out he's cheating next week, but then they probably will have a couple weeks off for the holidays, so we won't find out who the other person in his life is for a little while.

Whoever loses has to do 10 sets of Terminators!:D

Oh...and what's up with her son? That kid needs a swift kick in the head! It's all Brie's husband's fault, Mr. No-Discipline-I'm-Your-Friend Parent.
 
Wouldn't it be funny if Brie's husband was having an affair with their marriage therapist?? I think Brie's son is going to just crack and have some kind of breakdown as soon as the drugs are gone. Next week looks really good!!

Brie's son is a creep. I would not be at all surprised if he ends up turning violent towards her at some point. He seems to be a bit of a sociopath.

OK I'll take the bet. It didn't occur to me that her hubby was gay until it was mentioned on this board, so I guess my ignorance should cost me.........;-)

I don't watch the show. I am hoping they will have a marathon on it :) , but I can tell you I think your assumptions are correct ;-) I saw xtra this weekend and guess what else? Ryan O'neal is coming to the show as a father or bother(something) to the blonde that that looks like carmella soprano, and it sounds like the nosey neighbor that was killed is possibly coming back??? I did'nt catch it all, but hope this gives you something to look forward to :7

I have missed the last two episodes! The last one I saw is when the Daniella's mother-in-law was hit by a car, one of the woman took too many ADD pills...anyway, catch me up on the hightlights PLEASE?! It's killing me!:) Thanks, dmd
 
Carlos' mother is in a coma. Brie and her husband did a sneaky and took their loser son's car to a bad part of town so someone would steal it, so now there's no evidence linking loser-boy to the crime. The husband of the dead woman found out that the nosey neighbor who was trying to blackmail Susan was the one who wrote the letter, so he killed her. Hot gardener's mother found out he was having an affair with a married house-wife. She assumed it was Susan, Susan got ticked off at Gabriella because it's a bad moral decision to have an affair with a teenage boy (especially when you're married), Gabriella fessed up to hot gardener's mother. Ummmm...Carlos got arrested for something, but we don't know what....

Brie's loser son is a pothead and Brie is the only parent that seems to care about putting him on the right path. She tipped the school that he had weed in his locker, so he got busted and is off the swim team.

Dead woman's crazy kid broke out of the mental house and is secretly living in Susan's daughter's room.

What else? What else? Lynette is off the ADD medication - almost had a mental breakdown last week, but the love and support of her friends got her through it. Now she's getting a nanny.

Mike, the hot "plumber", and Susan did the nasty last week. He wasn't on this week. She knows there's something secret with him, but doesn't seem to care because he looks so good without a shirt on. She found piles of money and a gun in his house.

Did I miss anything anyone? Thank GOD for DVR technology, I'd be so behind without it.
 
You forgot the gardener's mother kicking Susan's a$$. That poor woman--Teri Hatcher must be covered in bumps & bruises every by the time they finish filming every show!
 
Oh yeah...Susan could have taken her if she wasn't in those heels! Where's Superman when you need him?
 
Geesh! Thanks, Donna for cathcing me up. You had me cracking up over here with your descriptions of things...I am so hooked on this show. It is definitely my guilty pleasure;-). What do you think Mary Alice did that was so bad? Mary Alice is the on who committed suicide right? That family has me very confused. I have the sense that we are being taken on a wild ride and that we will be super surprised over the outcome. Can't wait!!! dmd
 
Donna - I'm with you, I think he's gay. But....then I get concerned because I think that is too obvious so I must be missing something. This is the ONE and ONLY show I make the kids be quiet so that I can watch my show!! Think I could pick something more educational huh?

I'm still wondering about that............it can't have anything to do w/her daughter (Dana) b/c it's just too obvious. I'm sure there's a still deep, dark secret Mary Alice had that we haven't yet heard anything about.
 
PLUS, the police said that there was a female "adult" body in the trunk, not a child so that kind of put a twist on things.

And as far as watching "educational" stuff. Pish-posh!!!! We need brain-candy every once in a while. That's why I read Stephen King instead of Sophocles. (how DO you spell that name????)

You should have seen me last night, the phone rang while I was watching Arrested Development (another fav show), and I didn't answer it. But then...it rang AGAIN a minute later, so I figured it was important. So I paused the DVR. It was my sister on the phone and she's just blah, blah, blah...then I saw it was 9:00 and I didn't have the DVR set up to record Desp. Housewives. I was all in a tizzy trying to get it to record that without losing the rest of Arrested Development! Good thing I know my way around gadgets like that.
 
I am so with you on that. Entertainment is supposed to be an escape from real life, right? It's supposed to make you smile & take you away from all the ugly things in the world.

BTW did anyone see the Golden Globe nominees? Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman & Marcia Cross were all nominated for best actress. The strangest thing though was Andrea Mateo's presentations, she looked royally pissed off. Clearly something made her mad, maybe right before she waked on stage.

Oh, & you spelled Sophocles exactly right. ;-) And I love Stephen King too.
 
No one mentioned that Mary Alice's son told Susan's daughter that he killed his sister(Dana)when he was a little boy and his parents covered it up so he wouldn't be put away, he thinks his mom killed herself because of it - that family is out of control! I'm dying to know who was in the chest.
 
It took me 3 attempts at Sophocles before I settled on that one. It looked the most Greek. :)

Since you're a Stephen King fan, I have to ask...have you read The Dark Tower series?

CurlyQ - I didn't really forget about that, I'm just not really sure he DID kill her. He was only 4 at the time, so I'm thinking there might be something else that happened there.
 
I only read the first 4 of the Dark Tower series. It wasn't scary enough for me. :p

Of all of his books the Stand was without a doubt my favorite. Lots of mixed messages & hidden meanings in there. I think it was the only time SK actually managed to be deep.
 
Unfortunatly I dont get to watch DH, but feel I can realate to whats going on with all these re-caps you guys give.

But I am another Stephan King fan.............love ALL his books but prefer when they make them into movies............then I can REALLY jump in the dark! The very first one I read, "Pet Cemetary", started me of ready more of his books.

Man, I love this show. Took several weeks off and watched it on Sunday. Now I am sorry I missed so much. Can't wait for Lynette to see that baby-sitter cam next week. AND, I am with you on the affair with a man. Definitly. He is somehow a sick and twisted pup...:)
