Anyone else worried about STS...

I have no doubts it will be awesome but I pretty much know I've wasted my money for the weight work that I need to be doing for quite a while. Maybe someday I'll use it if I don't sell it first.

Each time I would challenge myself to do a few more than last time and by the end of the rotation I was doing 150 on my toes and 60 on my knees. As Tony would say, "Do your best and forget the rest".

JJ

Is that 150 AT ONCE on your toes? That's amazing! My gosh, even in my best shape I never attempted to do that many so who knows if I could? I did GS Chest & Tris today and I still can't complete the drop-set pushups on my toes I do 16 then 14 then 12 and have to switch to knees for the rest. Sometime to work up to I guess.

I am someone who at first glance might appear as if she could pushup her way into oblivion. But guess what? I can do--tops, 30 regular ones.

I blame the boobs.:p

ya know what I'm worried about? what do you do AFTER STS??? where do you go from there? nothing else will compare!

I am both terrified and excited. I know that it's going to make me push to new limits and that is what is both intimidating and something to look forward to. I try not to think about it too much, to tell you the truth. If I do then I start worrying about it. It's kind of like my habit of not previewing workouts before I do them. What I don't know won't scare me!

I am not worried. If I am unable to do something I will just modify and do something else. I am really excited about this system since for some reason I was never able to motivate myself to do a whole 90 days of P90X.

I'm not worried about STS -- I'm so excited about it I can hardly stand it!! Bring it, Cathe!!!!

And I fully expect and intend to modify where needed. To me, STS is something I will have to grow into. I would be disappointed if I was able to do it right out of the box. This is supposed to be a training system -- it should be hard!

The thing to remember also is that we all have areas that we are stronger in and then our weak areas. I can match or surpass Cathe on some wt work and others forget about it. I just accept what I can do and work on improving it!!! I think that's the key to STS- do not stay stagnant on your wts. Push your self to improve each time. Really with any weight work that should be our goal.

I'm in the worried group and agree with Jonahnah's post.

SNM's says: "The only way to reduce the time of an STS workout would be to either reduce the rest breaks between exercises or the number of exercises. Both of these options in our opinion would hurt the effectiveness of the program."

You don't have to do what Cathe says but this is promoted as a "system" and SNM's comment above make me feel if you're unable to follow it somewhat closely why buy it. I struggle to do 10 straight leg push-ups, so if the first workout calls for 136 I'm in trouble.

I have pre-ordered and will patiently wait for more info. The 1RM is supposed to level things out so maybe they've figured out a way to 1RM push-ups also. For Catherine it's 200 (WOW!) for me it's 10.

Linda

Linda, that was over 200 total in one workout- not 200 at one time. There's no way I could do that lol!!

Honestly, I think people will still get good results even if they do shorten the workouts. As long as they lift as heavy as they can within the rep range given.
