Any update on new workouts or the new format?

I don't have social media, but are there any updates on new workouts and what the new format will be for purchasing the new workouts? I believe I read that ending the DVD production will allow Cathe to release more workouts in less amount of time. The last series was to be released summer 2025 (I know it was delayed).

Also wondering if we can just buy the workouts as a download since Cathe On Demand is NOT an option for me. Will the new workouts also be sold as a download with premixes, as I use the premixes more than the "regular" workout option and Workout Blender is NOT an option for me.

Thanks!

Interesting question.

We are all eager to know the options for upcoming release. Despite the fact that most business offer subscriptions, download with well chaptered content is feasible.

While we are on chapters topic, I have just received new link as my LMR2E released link did not contain chapters.

I wonder if Cathe is delaying any info on future workouts due to the bankruptcy filing of Four Seasons Fitness.
I know she said Cathe.com is a separate entity, but I do believe the productions studio is part of the actual gym.

Interesting take, thanks for the reply.

The bankruptcy filing was over a year ago and was prior to the announcement of the ceasing of her physical DVDs. I hope she isn't waiting for that to get straightened out before she does her future format, since it could be quite awhile.

I wouldn't be surprised if filming has been put on hold for now as they clear out their warehouse/physical inventory. I recall they were absolutely slammed when they first announced the clearance so doubt they had much time at all to finalize any sort of plans for new workouts to film.

Hopefully we'll start to hear something in the last half of this year as the clearance slows down and they're no longer solely focused on emptying out their warehouse.

I'm in agreement - hopefully whatever they come up with is available as downloads and they figure out how to provide premixes with digital downloads. I'm not a fan of streaming since I've had OnDemand drop connection on me in the middle of a workout more times than I felt tolerable. Super annoying to be fully warmed up and then waste 10-20 minutes trying to get the connection back and figured out.

You might be right, but the end of new DVD releases in the future was a factor in my upgrading to full OnDemand when it was on sale. I thought it would be a smart move since everything would be digital. Now, I'm thinking I might have been smarter to wait! Until then I'm enjoying the Live workouts, but a new series announcement sure would be fun to get excited about! :)

I think Cathe and Chris's main focus right now is assuring the survival of their gym. And rightly so. There are many employees whose livelihoods are dependent on the gym staying open. Many gym members who have paid their membership dues and would like for it to survive. The bankruptcy is proceeding & doesn't look promising unless they can get an investor with deep pockets. The GFM hasn't even reached it's initial request of $22k & Chris warned it was a short-term solution to their financial issues.

I'm fairly confident Live & On-Demand will survive, but if the gym closes they will have to relocate the filming location(s). I think that will be easy to do but obviously not necessary if they can remain open. If they relocate, it probably won't have the same professional backdrop and lighting as their filming studio. And they may lose the computers/software that allows them to edit for chaptering but that can be overcome too as they could film shorter segments that On-Demand subscribers can blend together.

Live appears to be the only new content for awhile. New, chaptered workouts for On-Demand and downloads is probably at least 6 months away while the bankruptcy plays out. But I think they will come as I don't think Cathe's ready to retire for at least a few more years.

If she loses the gym, that will bring a lot of changes to Cathe.com. She is a creative and imaginative woman, and I expect she will find some way to carry on that doesn’t put her in another financial bind. In bankruptcy, assets are seized by the courts, so she is limited on how to proceed. I don’t expect another series announcement until she knows where it will be filmed. Having to cancel the road trip spoke volumes about her ability to plan ahead. Maybe an announcement in the fall, or winter. maybe a year or more. I am okay with the wait. Especially as there is no other option. Lives are available. I have used my Lives collection quite a bit, more than I expected when I bought them.

Oh no... I didn't know she canceled the road trip. So sad for everyone planning to attend. One thing no one has dared to mention is that Cathe is getting close to retirement age. She is amazing considering she has had major shoulder surgery, a torn retina and a total knee replacement. Working out to Cathe's programs has made me (and my husband) strong and fit into our late 60's.

Cathe didn't post on the forum nor on FB about the canceled Road Trip. People who were signed up received email notices in late June, and are getting refunds now. They did not remove the sign-up page either.

I think Cathe's hesitant to post much about their financial situation fearing it may scare subscribers off. As I said before, I think the streaming services will survive. It doesn't take much capitol to offer streaming workouts - a location, good lighting & cameras and a computer with appropriate software to edit - and of course a talented, creative instructor. They already have the apps. Since On-Demand assets (except the filming studio) are supposedly separate from the gym, streaming should be OK.

Maybe a Road Trip will be scheduled once they're more settled so Cathe may interact with her fans in-person. She's done destination road trips in the past. She's creative enough to devise road trip workouts without a need for much equipment.

I’m so glad I stocked up on Cathe dvds when I did. Signing up for the streaming format just isnt in my budget right now and the internet where I’m living now isnt the greatest. For the first time ever, I’ve dealt with buffering and freezing when I try to stream Pvolve workouts. I hope she can overcome all these obstacles that’s she’s facing right now. I’d like to say hey Cathletes y’all just all come on down to Houston , Texas for a big workout party!!!

And I remember when Cathe did so much work renovating the entire set for the filming of STS 2.0. I don’t know how or if all that could be moved elsewhere.

Oh right! We need to get inspired. Should any meet up happen, please let us have some footage of cathletes putting hair down, wearing sunglasses and flexing accessory Bi

If I remember correctly, we were going to hop into your convertible for a road trip to go pick up our dvds!
Well, no dvds to pick up, but we could take that roadtrip and make a suprise visit to a CatheLive class! LOL!
