Any suggestions

I've been using Cathe's workouts for a while now and I love them. But as I was searching thru what was available for strength training they usually needed extra items other than free weights, barbell and a step. My problem is my husband and I travel alot and sometimes we are in a place for a month and sometimes even more I try and pack as light as possible because we are limited on space. But my question is that I need a DVD(s) that focuses on weights only and not any cardio....believe me I have enough of that! But a DVD(s) that will allow me to only take my weights and my step and not anything else is required, I do have wedge that you blow up and you can use it for lifitng weights almost as good as you can with the step which I do prefer the step but with lmited space I can't take it. Can anyone offer any suggestions?? Thanks so much. Tina

Actually this includes most of Cathe's weight work, and even when she does use the stability ball, you can modify the moves to do the same without the ball or do another exercise that you know for that body part.

You could do the Pyramid workouts, and do the modifications without the ball for the floor work and ab work, most of these are shown.

You could do Muscle Max, Power Hour, Muscle Endurance, the Pure Strength series, most of the Gym Styles series with one or two modifications on the floor work (uses dynabamd, travels easily).

There are many choices!

i agree with clare that most of the workouts can be modified for those without a ball. she does show that option in PLB/PUB. with the hardcore series they use dynabands which are easy to travel with and easy to find nowadays. pretty much what clare mentioned are really good. i like power hour and its on the same dvd as maximum intensity strength which is one of my favorite weight workouts. how about the pure strength series or the slow and heavy series?? they are good workouts as well and only use the weights and step.

Yes, as the above poster says except: remember that with S&H you may require some very heavy weights. Can you travel with 20s and 25s (dumbells)?

Thank you so much ladies, I really appreciate the help!!

Yes, I do travel with ALL my weights including my 25 lb. dumbells, I prefer not to travel with my barbell (to save a little space) IF I can modify the DVD(s) I'm currently using and substitute the barbell exercises for dumbells; so as you suggested I think I'll order the Pure Strength Series and when I get them I'll take a look at them and see if I need to bring my barbell with me.

I'm also curious about the new Gym Style Series Back, Shoulders and Biceps and then Chest and Triceps, that just might work for me also so that will probably be my next purchase!

Have a wonderful week.
