Anyone remember this thread I posted just about one year ago....

"I'll cut right to the chase -- for the first time EVER in my life, I RAN A MILE!!!
I was always the girl in high school who walked the mile in PE class and got a failing grade because of it. Until Cathe, I've never been consitently physically active EVER.
Running has always been, to me, the pinnacle of physical fitness. But I've spent 26 years telling myself that I can't do it.
Long story short... I have a friend who is running a half marathon today, so I decided to dedicate my workout to her. I was going to do an interval run/walk (2 minutes of each). But at some point, I just decided that I was going to run until I couldn't run anymore....
And 12 minutes, and 1+ mile later.... I DID IT!! I RAN A MILE!!
This is a major personal accomplishment for me, and I just HAD to share it will all of you, the only *friends* in my life who would really understand!!"
So I just wanted to give a little update... This past Sunday (November 8th) - just a little less than one year after I ran my first mile - I completed my first half-marathon! I ran the OBX Half-Marathon in 2:22:32 and I am so proud of myself, and I wanted to share this with you all again. If I can do this, ANYONE can!!
