American Idol...now can we talk?

Yeah. I wonder what it was exactly. He looked a bit unkempt to me at first, and I really didn't get into him until about week 3. Something suble: eyebrow tweezing?

I know they have a whole crew of makeup and hair people, as well as costumers, to help the contestants with their looks. Remember how Clay changed from the red-haired geeky-looking guy with glasses(whom I really liked--he's the only contestant I've ever voted for, and it was way at the beginning) to a cooler blond guy?

I'm just glad Bo didn't wear that shiny burgandy leather shirt again. AAKK!

Oh I agree about Bo getting hot towards the end there. I thought Bo was going to win, Dh and I voted as many times as we could get through for a half hour straight. We've never voted before. I know that I will more than likely buy his album once it comes out. I've bought Clays, Kellys, and Justins in the past.

*sigh* I loved Bo from the beginning. I like the bad boy long haired rocker guys. He is completely my type.

Well I'm the odd ball. I like vonzille, and was dissapointed she was let go. So I copped the attitude that I wasn't going to vote for carrie or Bo. But in the end I wanted Carrie to win. And I honestly thought Bo was going to get it. So I was really shocked. I think the majority of people liked him, but did not vote. But Carrie has a great voice and will go strong.

We in the UK don't get to see American Idol until the Friday night. I was shocked when Bo lost to Carrie. All too often throughout the competition Carrie forgot her lyrics and hit too many bum notes - not what you want in a performer but...Bo peaked in the semi final IMHO and his performance this week wasn't his strongest. Carrie was better this week but considering her overall performances over the months I don't think, ultimately, she surpassed Bo.

Simon said Carrie will win and I think he has a lot of influence over the voting....as has been seen in previous weeks.

Does Bo need AI? Maybe he'd have had to fit a particular mould as AI? He'll go on to great things now and I think he'll be the best thing to have come out of AI. I'll be buying his first CD as soon as it comes out in USA - whether he'll launch his career in the UK I don't know - I'll reserve judgement on this for the timebeing.

Just to round off...I like Carrie and thought, from as early as her first audition, she'd go far however there was occasion whereby I felt let down by her performance.

Bo has an absolute and pure gift. I'm looking forward to hearing him again in the future. You Americans are very lucky to have him!
