All right, FINE THEN!!!

I caved. I've been resisting and resisting but I caved (with a LOT of pressure from my SO) and ordered a 14" high step. It comes with a DVD. Once I pay that off, I'm ordering Boot Camp/ME. Then PUB/PLB, then the Gym Styles and High Step Challenge, then.... then.... then....

This addiction makes the people at Visa very happy.:p

Tell me about it. I came back to this forum to lurk and see what workouts were new and interesting...in the last few weeks I have bought almost all of the hardcore's, plus 3 more older dvd's.

It's insanity.}(

Oh and last night I ordered two more. Ka-CHING! But I think I'm done now for awhile...purchasing that is!

But I really like Cathe workouts because they are solid, challenging workouts that keep a body in shape. And if I have any guilt over spending so much money in the last two months on workout Dvd's, I got over it last night when I was chatting at a track meet with some other parents and one gal asked me how old I was and when I told her, her husband said "No Way are you THAT old, you're in great shape because I've seen you in shorts at baseball games!"

Yeah, that makes a girl feel real proud of all the hard work (and money) we put into staying fit.

Now that was a comment I will hold near and dear to my heart for a long time. But that husband probably got an arse chewin all the way home in the car for admitting in front of his wife no less, and in public, that he has been looking at another woman's legs when he's supposed to be watching his son play baseball!

I'm wondering if his wife will sit by me at the next track meet! }(

I just ordered my high step (comes with high step circuit DVD), too, it is supposed to come this Monday, and I cannot wait! I am bursting! I just got my bands from wholesale fitness today. On Monday I will be set until my next Cathe purchase in probably, oh, about two weeks!

I know what you mean 40something! I have ordered over $300 worth since I joined the forum (barely a month ago)! I like to think of it as an investment in myself that has many rewards and benifits!:7

Now you stop that! Thanks to the refund from Uncle Sam, I am giving Visa and Matercard the heave ho. You on the other hand, Shelley, need all that stuff and those workouts, to fullfill your dreams, whatever they may be. And no woman should be without a high step. I am not "allowed" to purchase anything I cannot buy outright. Rich isn't either but he paid off a speeding ticket, and that's okay because, double standards are the name of the game. But I will not break my vow of fiscal responsibility no matter how mad he ever makes me. So spend away, and I'll live viacariously through your purchases.

Well, my Visa was EMPTY and it was feeling bereft and unloved. So I felt compelled. And you know what? I may not wait. I may just go ahead and order Bootcamp/ME RIGHT AWAY. Oooooooooh, I'm such a devil}(

Do it! Do it! Do it!

I too have a Cathe-buying compulsion. I have acquired 16 Cathe DVDs in the last month and a half. I am so bad! I also just bought Bootcamp/ME and am very much looking forward to receiving it. And I want a high step soooo bad. Yes, the Visa people (or Discover card people, for me), loooooove us. :)

If you crave them, they will come.

I don't want to add up how many $$$ I've spent on my Cathe collection and related paraphernalia. All I know is it's the best money I've ever spent on fitness.

If there's anything good about this "addiction", it's that I've cleaned our house from most of its junk by putting up such junk on eBay and using the proceeds from those sales to get more Cathes.

I agree with Pinky! if you are going to have an addiction, this is the best one to have!! My hight steo came with ME on VHS. Have fun with your new toys!!

There are worse addictions to have. When I discovered Cathe I binged on a lot of her videos and invested in the equipment I needed. DH was not happy until I told him it was cheaper than a club membership (at least around here). He's very proud of how fit I've become since using Cathe. I also sold stuff on eBay to "feed" my habit. It's worth every penny for me, sanity-wise and fitness-wise.

A-Jock - I love the "vini, vidi, visa"!! I've never heard that one!!

Use your new equipment in good health!!!

Hehehe.... this is a DANGEROUS place. In the last three months I have ordered the Intensity series, parts of Body Blast, and many of the Hardcores... not to mention the High Step, assorted balls and bands, and dumbbells in many sizes. Last night I purchased a resistance cable with handles because it looks like it might be better for some of the band work (the dynaband slips for me for some of the exercises). I am looking at the regular Club Step as we speak.

But just think, if you weren't spending it here, you would be spending it somewhere....

Enjoy the new purchase! The high step is great!

Should we all have a confession session? How much have you spent since you joined this forum? I can tell you guys because you will not get stare aghast at me like DH. He cannot believe that I spend so much money on one site. So all I say to him is........
Xbox, baby. Then he forgives me.
Anyways, my confession.....
just shy of 400 dollars. And I am loving every penny of it!}(

It was empty? Good, girl. Mine IS empty and it feels good but there's the eco friendly yoga mat and so many other things that make me wish I hadn't made any promises to myself. I can blow the DH off, yanno? He disregards the discussions and promises we make all the time but a vow I make to me, well, boo. Gotta keep those. My mother, that amazing lady, who raised all those kids. She mused about using those credit cards to make us happy and paid them off over a year's time and then did it again. Now, she pays all balances in full on a fixed income. We make so much more but the more we make, the more we spend. I want to be like mom. She amazes me. She is buying antiques these days to enjoy. Go, Mom. That way she can say no whne her kids hit her up for a loan. ;)

To paraphrase Cathe in Imax 3 "Well, that was a lot of spending, but not as much as it could have been, so we're moving on...."

ACK!!! I DID IT AGAIN!!! I just ordered Bootcamp/ME.

I made a list last night of all the workouts I want to order. Needless to say, I WON'T be getting them all at once.:p
